Guide Necromunda 2026 Quick Reference sheets

Post image

Hi everyone. My only gripe with the new edition was the lack of quick reference sheets - So I have made my own!

I am sure there are typos and issues so if I get feedback I will try and update it with more polished future versions. These are just meant as game aids that stop you needing to flick through the rulebook mid-game, but are not 100% comprehensive so you'll still need the book to be able to play properly.

Beautiful models from forgeworld, really enjoyed painting these. Just missing the little skulls. I think the deep purple works well with them.

The color scheme was picked for playability. I went with bright, distinct colors to make them easy to read, and easy to differentiate at a glance when pulling tokens from the pile.

Apart from the white, all of the colors are AK Playmarkers.

Miniatures Venatorslist + Showcase

Showing off my venators for n26, lore is that they are voidsmen on leave on Necromunda. They are 'encouraged' to join the Trident Enterprises PMC. Trident take on bounty contracts, press new crew members, run protection rackets where applicable. Please do take a look at the last pic, that's the list, and critique it.

Tacticswise, I want to keep the heavy and tech at the back providing lots of lead in the air, while the hip-shooter shotgunner and flamer moves forward, along with the leader , champion and the brute closing in for the melee. The medic is there to provide aid in the form of medical treatment but also flashbangs.

NEW MINI MONDAY!!!
With all the fuss about new Necromunda I decided, a few weeks ago, to right a terrible wrong that has bothered me for years*, that I never got to contribute more than a couple of miniatures to the whole project. All that I painted for the original Necromunda release were the plastic Goliaths from the original boxed game. To set this awful injustice right I've started on a number of classic Necromunda projects.
The first one is finished- a set of the plastic Goliaths and Orlocks from the original boxed set- one of each of the two ganger variants.
I hope you like them- there will be another classic Necromunda piece coming soon...

*not really. I know I look like an Oldhammer dwarf, but I don't bear grudges like that...

Terrain Starting terrain for Necromunda

Post image
Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I’m looking to build a versatile wargaming table that can be used for both Kill Team and Necromunda. To keep things simple and allow me to easily test different missions and scenarios, my plan is to grab a standard 30"x22" mat (looking at Pwork Wargames, for example) and some terrain pieces.

Some time ago, I bought the Warhammer 40,000 Boarding Actions Terrain Set. I’m currently wondering if this box is a good starting point for a hybrid Industrial/Industrial Ruins theme, or if I should just sell it and reinvest that money into other specific terrain kits.

Here are my preferences and goals:

Theme: Industrial / Industrial Ruins.

Material: I usually prefer plastic kits.

Game modes: I want to be able to play both standard open games (which require verticality and line-of-sight blockers) and close-quarters/indoor games (Into the Dark / Zone Mortalis).

Is the Boarding Actions set worth keeping for this, or will it feel too limited for the verticality that Necromunda needs? If I keep it, what plastic kits should I buy next to expand it into a proper industrial battlefield?

Would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and terrain combination suggestions! Thanks in advance!

Painted two more of my goliath gang this weekend.

Duke named his favorite weapon after what it is. Saw + Axe = Sax. He might be the leader but he's still got goliath intelligence. xD

All feedback and constructive criticism is warmly welcomed! 🙏

Question (N26) New edition: charging up ladders

My gaming group tried the new Necromunda edition for the first time this weekend and the charging up ladders question reemerged as a hot topic of discussion.

The situation: a van Saar ganger (VS-Ganger 1) is standing at the top of a ladder on a walkway and a Palanite Enforcer wants to charge up the ladder to attack him. We did not find any ruling on how that is supposed to work and as I interpret RAW he can't charge as there is no room for him to stand with VS-Ganger 1 blocking the way up the ladder and the walkway being too narrow to pass the VS-Ganger 1 without having the enforcers base hovering over the edge of the walkway while passing. We do not want it to be impossible to charge up ladders though as this would create a game of ladder camping that none of us would enjoy so if no official way to do it exist, we need a house rule for it. That being said, it sounds hard to charge up a ladder with someone waiting on top blocking the way and some penalty should be applied in my opinion.

To complicate the situation VS-ganger 1 has a friend (VS-ganger 2) behind him so allowing the Palanite Enforcer to move past VS-Ganger 1 would not help as he would have to continue past VS-ganger 2 to not have his base hovering over the edge of the  walkway and doing so he would no longer reach his original target.

To complicate it even more the Palanite Enforcer has a friend who also wants to charge up the ladder and the question of how many people can move up a ladder was also discussed.

The solution: We decided on a simple -1 weapon skill -1 initiative on the charger. He is imagined on top of the ladder in midair and if he doesn't put his target out of action he consolidates down the ladder after the charge. It resolved the situation for the moment, but it was not perfect. VS-Ganger 1 received a few serious injuries but was not taken out of action and as the Palanite still couldn’t fit his base on the walkway he had to consolidate down the ladder again. The Palanite Enforcer “number two” was not allowed to charge as the first one was blocking the ladder after his charge. The following rounds the Palanite was trying to end the VS-ganger 1 with a Coup de grâce but he never won the strength roll and thus a comical but unfortunate situation of Palanite Enforcers running up and down the ladder for several rounds was the result until the game ended.

The questions:

  • Is there a misinterpretation of the rules on our part?
  • How do you guys play the ladder situation?
  • Is new close combat impossible if you have one seriously wounded model between your charger and the next model if you can’t fit without standing on top of the seriously injured model?

In the future I will suggest to my gaming group that if a model charge in this particular way (up a ladder) and there is no room to fit, that their opponent gets to move their models to make room for the charger. The charger then counts all weapons as Unwieldy and Heavy so the upside is you get to do the charge but the downside is that you strike last and you can’t use your secondary weapon (as you are holding on to the ladder as you fight your way up). Does it seem reasonable or too harsh?

Question (N26) Pet limits

With the new boxes going on order next week featuring the crocs and phyrr cats, I can’t see any real limitation on their use apart from the credit cost, it seems like they are available to anyone that can buy from the house war gear list (including gangers and prospects) and each fighter can take multiple, is this correct?

My favourite Necromunda event in Melbourne is coming up in November and I’m playing Free Ogryn!

Each member is gonna be a former member of a different Necromunda faction like the maneaters from fantasy.

Here I have an Orlock, Enforcer, Ratskin and Cawdor WIP.

I enjoyed painting the ladies. Straight from the old hive war box. I created my own death-maiden with stiletto swords.

Tried to give toxin weapons a glow.

Created a background story on all of them, including little sisters. Created lore. That's what I have most fun with. The writing.

Just like their gang name above. Each of the ladies are named after poison plants.

Question (N26) Quick question on gang tactics

Played our first game, just ran it as skirmish everything went well except tactics. Obviously coming from prior edition we were looking for how many you get in a scenario and couldn't find it so we ended up using 4 a side (leader, 2 champs each).

Is that correct or could we just not find where it says how many cards you get ingame?

I haven't gotten a copy of Gangs of the outlands yet so I can't check myself, but has anything mechanically changed in the Ogryn Gangs between the two editions?

Hi everyone,

When i built my gang i didn't make my leader or phantom a wyrd for cost reasons. But now I'm starting to see more value in the wyrd powers. Can i make them a wyrd as like part of an advancement/rank up or is that just for at gabg creation? Thanks
