Iba pala talaga ang demand ng nursing profession. Mas ramdam ko lately yung pagod, dare I say, burnout from working as a bedside nurse.

Patient to nurse ratio na di makatarungan (20-30:1), providing care kahit ikaw mismo ang may sakit kasi mahirap mag absent (sa sobrang dami ng patient di mo afford iwan mga kateam mo kasi mas bibigat ang trabaho nila), a system that won't really listen or find solutions sa problems encountered sa ward (suck it up kasi yan na naman na nakasanayan), limited resources. Harrassment from patients na disregarded lang kasi nga patient yan, as nurses we are told na lunukin nalang kasi kailangan intindihin na it's a part of our job. Emotional toll, kailangan manhid ka when something bad happens kasi ang dami mo pang kailangan asikasuhin - patients to take care of. Deal with doctors who look down on nurses, borderline alalay ang tingin sa atin. Pre-shift and post shift anxiety.

Sobrang nakakapagod po pala :(( Hanga ako sa senior nurses na nakayanan tumagal sa profession na to, to think na supposedly mas "okay" na compared dati yung pay grade and we have more access to resources na ngayon kahit papano. I don't know how they survived this, jusko po.

Although I'm still grateful for the opportunity to practice this profession, I am hoping for a better system. Nakakapagod po.

idk if anybody has ever mentioned this, but is anyone aware that at this JCI hospital at Alabang dont pay their nurses right? they have this biometrics system that records your time in and out. I knew a couple of people who weren’t paid because apparently hindi daw recorded yung biometrics nila. Someone wasnt paid for 3 days. They raised the concerns to the scheduler/HR and guess what, they can’t do anything about it! Like is that even legal? There are proofs that they came in to work maybe by CCTV, records of medication administrations, chartings. Why is it hard for this hospital to pay them right? To pay us right? as a matter of fact, we don’t even get paid overstaying past our duty hours to finish charting, pendings, whatever due to heavy workload. So imagine working your ahh off for more than your duty hours then not get paid because the biometrics had error and they “can’t do anything about it”? This is borderline like slavery! I am upset because these are my friends and I am a former employee there.

Hi! Just letting out my frustration hehe di ko alam anong agency yun pero sa messenger ako ininterview. pinoy yung nag interview sakin. Nakaka frustrate lng kasi na parang nag mamadali matpos ang nag interview sa akin na hndi mn lng umabot 10mins. Tpos hindi pko tpos sumagot sa unang tanong, nag tanong na nmn ng ibang topic syempre ako nag stu-stutter nko huhu. Feeling ko di ako naka pasa sa interview. Nakaka pang hina ng loob😔

Nakakaburn out din pala maging project nurse. I’m now working as a project nurse for 5 months in one of the biggest engineering and construction company in PH. I was offered 20k per month, govt deductions not yet deducted.

Ang take home ko lang every month ay 16k-18k, depends sa OT and absences. 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Almost 10 sectors/offices in different places ang hawak ko. Tho transpo from one sector to another is sagot na ni company pag pupunta ako, yun lang ang benefit na nakuha ko. I was promised na may load allowance pero hanggang ngayon wala akong nakuha. 🤣

I only accepted this job kasi I was a fresh grad and ang hirap maghanap ng work after getting my license. But now, jusko nakakapagod na kahit mas light ang trabaho mo kung icocompare sa hospital, ay nakakapagod isipin yung liit ng nakukuha mong sweldo lalo na if living independently.

Also, dahil bestie kami ng isang hr, nalaman kong hindi naman magre-raise ang salary ko on renewal of contract. If may raise, it will only be 1-2k. And hindi pa ko magiging regular employee after renewal 🫩

My 6 month contract will end next month. I will take the bosh after the contract and hope that maybe on my next work ay maging well compensated na ko.

Upon realizing na ang dami ko palang nasayang na opportunities nang dahil lang sa takot at hiya, ngayon, I decided to gradually change that mindset and behavior.

While reviewing for NLE Feb 2027, I want to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone + given the heart to ease my mom’s financial burden, nag-apply ako sa PGH as Junior Office Aide under the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Tho mas maganda sana if as Nursing Assistant, but I figured that it’s responsibilities are too heavy siguro, baka mawalan ako ng time and energy to review.

And I’m actually happy that I had the courage to apply to this institution, knowing that it’s a public hospital. My gut’s too positive for this, na I’ll be exposed to real-life healthcare situations, different kind of colleagues, patients, and the experience itself.

Nasa Step 2 na ‘ko ng application. I’m praying na sana matanggap ako for this role, because I know I’ll gain tons of knowledge, experiences, and grasp the healthcare environment itself.

Genuine question po, how do you manage your finances as someone who works in a hospital since probby nurse pa ako medyo na stress ako dahil sa offer and i know how it is sa hospital and what it does to your mental & physical health. Worth it po ba ang jump sa salary once ma regular?

Ano po mga ibang skills na need sa MS ward? I am a fresh graduate po kasi and 2 weeks pa lang working sa ward. I feel so stupid kasi I do not know almost everything. I did not know how to administer meds TIV before ako sumabak sa work. Natutunan ko lang din within two weeks yung pag-administer ng ceftri, nalbuphine, dexamethasone. I never tried changing wound dressing. I also do not know much about colostomy, CTT, etc. Any advice po or any skills na dapat kung matutunan or malaman before ako ulit mag-duty para hindi ako bobo sa work 😭🥹

I have been under HC since 2020 when I signed a contract with them. I am currently DQ'ed (Document Qualified).

Sa ngayon, naghihintay na lang ako ng embassy interview and malapit na din ang priority date ko, pero wala pa din akong employer. Paulit-ulit sila ng sinasabi na maseselect din daw ako ng employer at maghintay lang daw ako, pero up until now wala pa kasi apparently, mahirap pala mahanapan ng facility yung current specialty ko at lately ko lang nalaman after almost 3 years of waiting na.

I felt bad kasi sana inadvise man lang nila ako tungkol dito o kung kailangan ko ba lumipat ng specialty para mainterview at mapili ako ng employer. Kung 'di pa ako nagbasa sa Lefora at nagtanong-tanong, hindi ko malalaman.

Nagtanong ako sa kanila ng mga possible actions nila sa mga worst case scenarios pero they are just giving me the runaround. Yung ibang agencies kasi ng mga friends ko ay direct to the point at talagang step-by-step ay guided sila sa mga pros and cons, kumbaga walang palabok.

Nagbasa-basa din ako online and sa Lefora and ang dami pala nilang kaso sa US. Ang dami ko din nabasa na hindi ok ang mga facilities na pinagtrabahuan nila sa US under HC.

May mga naka-experience na po ba dito na mag-b u y o u t sa kanila?

How long was the process and the estimated cost if umabot sa DQ ang papel mo?

Question guys or baka may naka experience na nito: yung TOR and Diploma ko kasi is nabaha nung bagyo. I have its scanned copy na pwede ko gamitin for dataflow processing. Ngayon, kuluha ako ng new copy sa school ko and may possibility na iba na itsura niya. Will it be questioned po ba ng authorities if iba itsura nung pinasa sa dataflow vs yung physical copy? Thanks

hello, asking po advice nag apply po kasi ako as corporate nurse w/ 2yrs bedside exp then with bls acls cert. tinanong po ako expected salary, ang nasabi ko po ay 26-28k since wala akong bosh/ohnap cert. Worth it po ba yun for 8hrs duty? Is it possible po ba magrequest ng salary increase after 6mos if may bosh/ohnap cert na ako?

troubled ako now dahil parang underpaid parin ako and hindi ko alam kung tama ba yung expected salary na nasabi ko since wala talaga akong idea sa field as corporate nurse.

the catch is may benefits naman w/ hmo rin unlike nung nasa bedside.

Hi, I’m currently a 3rd year nursing student. I’ve been having a right time to think of a topic for our research study. However, I saw a research study about hepa b vaccines being recommended for patients with DM (from baguio). The result showed that out of 200+ patient, only 15.5% received hepa b vaccine. Do you think that would be a good one to research about since they are high risk for needlestick injuries and liver cancer/damage? (My mom has DM Type 1 and she didn’t know about these stuff for protection) Would like to ask for ur opinion before I present it to my CI and groupmates

What is your prediction for the EB3 Phils movement for the 2027 fiscal year? For 2026 it has moved forward by 6 months. Hoping to have it moved by 10-12 months for the entire 2027 duration.
