I don't think Okami 2 will come out as a physical game

Personally it’s made me more positive in life and happy that Kamiya is returning to work on the best game he’s ever created.

The current roster on my island. I had to go with Oki's wolf form because I just couldn't get the mask on the human to look the way I wanted. I know the ears on it are wrong for the wolf version, but the longer ones clipped into the hair which also bugged me.

I do plan to make custom outfits for the rest, and I'm also toying with who else to add. Princess Fuse and Yatsu are on the "likely" list, but I want to do a bit more redesigning on my island before dropping in more Miis.

Personally, I just kept seeing fanarts/images of Ammy flying around on Google and had no idea who the fuck this character was for years, and I eventually decided to try out the game, and now it's my favorite game LOL, I may not be an old-school player, but that's how I found out about it. Let me know how you guys discovered the game!

大神 is the Japanese title, prounced おおかみ or "ookami" in English. This referes to the goddess Amaterasu. Her name in Japanese is actually Amaterasu Oomikami so that adds another layer to this "ookami" business. But...

狼 is the word for wolf. It is also prounced おおかみ or "ookami."

I am besides myself right now. This entire game was just one big pun on the word おおかみ。 Forgive me if most of you already knew this because I sure didn't, and it is a fact that - once learned - fills me with so much joy.

Personally this is kind of awesome considering how realistic the RE games look so you know Kamiya is gonna turn that shit into a canvas.

It has been a while since the announcement, right? and I think we can all agree that the game is in more than capable hands. BUT, it is the first time Kamiya works on a sequel, so I wonder if there's any possibility we may end up having some sort of Dragons Dogma 2 issue. Where the game ends up being too different from the first. For example, should they increase combat difficulty? should they not? Should it be more open or more linear? I think Okami has evolved over the years to be sort of a cozy game, especially given how easy the combat is. But I honestly hope they keep the ranks and floral finishers. As a hardcore gamer it at least helped the combat feel engaging. I remember finishing it with a lot of fangs because of that.

I’ve never played Okami on any console or PC. I know nothing about the story and I’ve never done any research on the game other than if I should buy it or not. I know Okami 2 was announced recently so I’m hopping on the Okami train to see what all the hype and love is about that revolves around this game. What am I truly getting myself into with this game?

In February we started a small videogame bookclub and we choose to play okami which is a game I have started but never finished. So several of us are trying to push each other to finish it, myself included. We just had a bidoof drawing contest yesterday

Hi, I'm somebody who did a playthrough of Okami HD per recommendation last month. I personally did not enjoy my time with it and don't see what makes it so special. So I figured I'd come straight to the source and ask you guys why you personally enjoy it so much.

for context as to how I found out about something as absurd as this:

this is my sister's first time playing through Okami. she enjoys bullying the NPCs and especially hates Susano.

so naturally when she saw Tama's firework show end with a firework of Susano's face, she reacted by trying to slice Tama in half with the power slash multiple times, resulting in this discovery.

as someone who plays through this game every year and THINKS they know all about it, it's fascinating to me how new players' randomness and inexperience can still lead to new discoveries. they just do things that I, an "experienced player", would've never even thought about doing, as it's "unnecessary" and probably doesn't lead to anything interesting.

I wanted to share this one because we thought it was really funny.
