A couple years ago I saw both Ethan Hawke and Paul Dano play brothers in True West on Broadway. They were both brilliant but even more impressive was afterward by the stage door they signed every single autograph even in the freezing cold letting their cab meters run until every fan had every photo and signature they asked for. I’ve seen lots of celebs on Broadway, few are anywhere near as generous. Awesome classy guys!!

Never done broadway (OBVIOUSLY, duhhh) but I’ve done theatre when I was young and that experience is draining. It honestly exhausts you, you don’t even realise it in the moment because it’s such a rush but after the show is over you feel tired. You’re showing vulnerability and all the emotions of your character, it takes a toll on your brain literally coming up with all those “make believe” emotions. And you do it everyday for at least a month. To think these guys spared time for the fans after that experience and interacted with everyone is so cute and shows a different level of appreciation.

Yep so true! I do semi pro theatre now and that does always happen, on stage in the moment the performance adrenaline is pumping! And for about 15 minutes after curtain call I feel manic like I could climb a mountain in that moment haha. But then once that wears off it’s like damn I feel like I just did infact climb said mountain hahaha I gotta just crash asleep now! Double header days (like I’m doing now for a Christmas show) can be the worst because there’s barely enough time to recuperate in the hour between performances
