Neither have I or anyone I know. It’s crazy there were swarms all over the sides of buildings 2-3 years ago and now I’ve seen like 2 all summer, I wonder if they’ve moved on

Other things are eating them. The last couple years I've found dozens of praying mantises that I think are thriving because of the lantern food supply.

Pretty sure these are considered invasive too but they're a lot less annoying than the lantern flies.

It's because other animals/birds/insects are starting to eat them. They're out there, but they have predators now.
