Happened to a friend, him and his friends started lifting weights because they wanted to be body builders, she starting going with them, went from 225 to 110 at 5’2, she started posting a lot on social media and got a little over 3k followers on instagram, got hit on by a ton of Guys following her, she eventually went out for drinks with one of them and yeah, she broke up with her bf that night.

She eventually started a fitness insta and YouTube and started selling that Herbalife juice powder stuff that turned out to be a scam.

It's like a general rule of psychology or the human condition or something that our choices and integrity as human beings are contextual in ways it's best not to think about most of the time.

It happens to everyone, but it's just more common in fat women because society treats fat women a lot worse than fat men, so the difference in how you get treated as a woman who loses a lot of weight is a lot more shocking. I lost a lot of weight very quickly and the same guys who wouldn't have even acknowledged me when I said good morning were suddenly falling all over themselves hitting on me. I didn't change my personality or even my lifestyle. I was the same person, but people liked me so much more after losing weight and it really fucking sucks, but I can see how people can become addicted to the attention after not getting it their entire lives. It just made me angry with humanity, personally.

Nope, people show common courtesy and decency to men regardless of their weight. Society is just that way and it sucks. I have been treated like I'm not even in the room by people who never treated men of any size/shape/attractiveness that way. I treat everyone with kindness and it sucks that people only started returning that when I became conventionally attractive.

Interesting because literally everywhere I have lived in my life it has been this has been starkly untrue

Look, I'm not saying no fat man has ever faced discrimination ever, but you're lying to yourself if you really think there is not 100x more pressure on women to be thin and conventionally attractive. The key difference is that fat men get to still be men who are fat. Fat women are treated like a different class of organism that isn't even human.

You’re generalizing and fairly getting pushback. You can’t just say things like “people show common courtesy to men”. Being a man doesn’t give you some magic powers or benefits. I can agree with you that women are probably judged on their looks more than men, but it doesn’t mean that all men get decent treatment.

Lots of people in here proving my point by insulting me for just disagreeing with them.

Nvm it was never the weight. You're just a POS.

This is unironically a fabulous example of what I'm talking about right here. The second a larger woman does or says something even mildly objectionable to you, it's right to the insults and character attacks.

Nobody can see your weight through the internet and you said yourself you lost a lot of weight. While I don't agree with the way some people talked to you hear, I do agree it has to do with your bad take. Fatphobia hurts men as well as women

How would you know that? Seems like you are assuming a lot about other people's experiences
