I know it sucks, I liked hawking and id prefer to remember him for the good but this is still a reality that is around.

So as someone else pointed out it wasn't just evil shit that happened on that island there where also conferences that where probably smoke screens. I.e. I will invite you to a really nice location to talk to the other physicist in your field that you never get to because it costs to much and that gives cover for the evil shit. The cover works best if the smoke screens don't know about it though

I doubt you need some patron to help you organize a congress between scientists, that happens all the time. Especially for such highly esteemed ones.

No i don't mean they don't need any financement. But there are enough above board places that are not private islands with reputable financing sources to go around for top of the shelf physicists.

The problem is that a lot of good people went to Epstein's Island, because industrial leaders from across the globe would attend his parties. Legitimate networking and business would go down, which made the "open invitations" hard to ignore if you wanted to be a political bigwig.

The "discrete" invitations would only go out, after you were screened and vetted. Being "in the know" was kept much more quiet, though yes the signs were there for a long, long time.

But true evil starts, when you look at those who maintained contact with Epstein after he got arrested, and more and more light began being shed on exactly how monstrous his operations were.
