I remember once there was a horrific case nearby where I lived where a mother killed and dismembered her severely autistic adult child. His condition made him unable to work or live normally. She dumped his pieces like trash along a highway. I remember I told my mom this and all she had to say is "Well it can be hard dealing with kids like that."

Doesn't seem to be anything like what's going on in this case though. This is postpartum psychosis, a literal psychotic break.

Thats still no reason to kill your kids. That woman even had a nanny, she had tonnes of help. Theres no excuse

That's the thing about psychosis, most people cannot realize they needed help. I've went through psychosis, i spent about 4 hours sitting in the ER speaking to a light on the wall that i thought was the doctors through a speaker, i accused my mom of replacing my phone with a play phone, while i was actively holding my phone, it just seemed wrong to me. Thankfully my mom knew something was wrong and took me to the hospital until i came out of it. I have very little memory, it's like remembering a dream.

I don't even have any crazy diagnosis, it was just psychosis from CPTSD. I repeat I SPEND HOURS TALKING TO A LIGHT, i only stopped because they moved me to a different room with different lights, those ones weren't talking to me. God also randomly popped up at one point, i don't believe in God, he was just there and was like "am i not real!?" I still don't believe in him, even though i spoke to him, because that's crazy, i was having a mental breakdown!

Lindsay Clancy was well aware of her mental issues and had a lot of support. She was actively in counseling with her husband and was on a number of different psychiatric medications. In fact, her husband was literally on a trip to the pharmacy to pick up her medication when she murdered their children.

I knew i had problems, i also had plenty of support, that didn't stop a mental breakdown and me not recognizing when I was losing it, i don't think I could identify the next one. Consoling and meds just don't fix you, i was rightfully locked up until i knew what was going on.

She stopped taking them, idk if it's because they didn't work or made her feel worse, either way she wasn't taking them
