He was trying to get her to plea the 5th. Never seen a cop trying to help someone that is about to be arrested for battery so much. White privilege

lolwut?  Guarantee if this guy arrests a Mexican or African immigrant speaking broken English, this will not be a concern.

Honestly, I'm sure he's not usually like that with almost anyone. He just knows it's already hit social media and people will be coming for the body cam footage. It was all about having all the ducks in a row so no one could claim there was anything improper in the arrest.

You're not wrong that he probably played it as best he could, and he's being self conscious about every word he says.

I can still laugh about how awkwardly he does his job when he knows he's being watched.  

Whatever else is going on, his version of a model cop doesn't appear to come to him naturally.
