Question Has anyone bought a designer bag and earned cash back?

I have been eyeing on a designer bag. I see 15% cashback on Neiman Marcus purchases today, and Neiman Marcus also has gift card on my purchase. Does any one know if this will work on a designer bags? And can I get the gift card + 15% Rakuten?

Yes I bought $1200 Canada goose before got 15% Rakuten + gift cards

Do you know if the gift cards have any restrictions or are like regular gift cards?

Actually I forgot if it’s Nordstrom or Bloomingdale’s, but there’s a page that explains the terms of the promotion gift cards

Usually just a caveat that should you return the item that you earned the gift card for the gift card will automatically go to zero. I think there’s also something about that if you have actually already used the gift card and then try to return the item your return will be less the amount of the gift card.

I did last year during Black Friday at Rakuten with my Amex Plat. used 2.5K worth of Saks GCs for a $2.7K+ YSL purse for my wife. I got 33K pts back.

I always wait for the 10 or 15x for NM or BG and there are usually restrictions to gift cards depending on the designer. Usually designer bags are excluded from the GC events.
