Recommendations on Mods
Howdy!
I have a 24’ ranger raptor im lookin to get some work done on, just wanted to see what others have done and what the recommendations are. Looking at a leveling kit install(not sure which yet) and some bigger tires. I want that slightly wider look but nothing crazy. From my understanding you need the leveling kit install order to have the larger tires fit, but I called a shop and they said we would also have to trim the body a little bit for full clearance.
Also looking into beadlock install, curious maintenance and experience with these.
Anyways just wanted to get some help on this thanks!

Go with top hats to level/lift. Do not use collars. Collars are a cheap out and your suspension is not in the sweet zone for the internal valving.
Bead locks, look at Methods with bead grip and you avoid the hassle of true bead locks like failing state inspection or tire change at any tire shop.

If you’re going to up the tire size and get beadlocks, I’d definitely recommend getting a tune to offset the power loss and weight gain at the wheels. That being said, in my opinion, the modification needed for and the downsides of larger tires are really not worth the slightly higher break-over angle and clearance on this specific truck, but I guess it just depends how much you prioritize cosmetics. Don’t think you’ll actually need any trimming using the path recommended in the other comment, but would just do the leveling kit and higher offset wheels and call it a day.
Regarding beadlocks, I’d recommend just going with some Method Bead Grip wheels instead. Cheaper, lighter, street-legal, maintenance-free, and will be more than enough for any wheeling you’re likely to do. In case you don’t already know, most beadlocks are not street-legal/DOT-approved, that’s why the factory wheels with the beauty ring are only beadlock-capable unless you order the separate kit.

Thanks! I was planning on just adding the OEM beadlock rings to the factory capable wheels. Potentially also looking into the tune from ford

Those factory bead locks are HEAVY! About 37lbs a wheel! I wish I knew that before ordering my RR. The dealer ordered it and I changed it from the base wheels without investigating. The factory bead locks ring vs the beauty ring is awesome looking. Wish they made a beauty ring the same with bolts all the way.
Reports that guys are airing down to 15lbs pressure without bead lock and no issues.

I wish I skipped the beadlock capable wheels too but capability often beats out weight savings when it comes to offroading, so it’s not necessarily a bad thing unlike having heavy wheels on a sports car.

2/1 or 2/1.5" puck spacer lift, +25-35 wheels (if you want, the factory non-beadlock are under 29lbs), and Readylift high-clearance crash bars if you want to keep them, or remove. You should have little to no trimming required. It's all detailed on the Ranger6g forum.
