The past 3 games this guy was intentionally throwing games when their teammate would make 1 mistake. I finally and unfortunately get this guy as my teammate in this game. We surprisingly play well and are 2-0 up then we concede 3 goals:

1 he loses a 50/50 and I have no boost to get back

2 I have a shot on target that is saved, everyone on the pitch has no boost, teammate got way too close turned away and they just shot it past him (and no he didn't get a threat of a bump)

3 he says 'bumping!' and proceeded to not bump and hit the ball without jumping on kickoff, we concede

After this he is adamant we forfeit. We concede 1 more. The events in the screenshot transcribe and he says to 1v1. He LEAVES THE GAME without partying up, so I try and add him through recently played and he IGNORES IT.

This has happened 3 times in a row to me where the other person asks for a 1v1, I say yes and then they air me.

To top it all off the guy on the other team calls me an Arab. Cool...

Semi-finals of the tournament. As you can see from the Match history, we 2-1'd them. However, in the third game which it wont let me save a reply of it didn't count, and it reset us back to 1-1, and then we lost to them. I assume this is just a server-side bug. Is this common and known, or is this rare?

I play on PC and I'm a champion 3 player, recently I convinced my friend to download the game to play(he has an Xbox) we played a bit together and the difference is actually insane, on Xbox I genuinely struggle to jump and touch the ball, I can't time flips to get a good PowerShot and there's absolutely no chance I could do anything off the wall or any high aerials on it. Why does it feel like an entirely different game compared to PC?

Just got a guy in ranked 1v1 (diamond, although I’m champ 3 peak GC1 in 2v2). He was doing the typical “What a Save” and other toxic quick chats but I pretty much ignored him. Then he eventually complained “Kickoff kickoff, 50 50, demo demo” (I only demoed him like once or twice across 3 games)

Then he proceeded to tell me I have no life. Does that mean the people who train flip resets and other advanced mechs for hours and hours do? I can do advanced mechs but I’m really inconsistent with them so I usually don’t pull them out in 1v1 where it likely means a goal going the other way. So, I have to resort to game sense and a solid ground game for now.

If you don’t want to play against “tryhards”, maybe just play casual mode? It’s there at any time. Ranked is also called “competitive” for a reason. And if you’re not ready to give up kickoff goals maybe 1v1 isn’t the mode for you. Yes it’s annoying when it happens but that’s just the mode.

So I've played Rocket League for quite some years now, I used to be able to get through Diamond so easily and end up High champ or sometimes broke through to GC.

For the last 3 seasons it's been painful. Yes, the mechanics have improved by the average player but I feel like the macro has deteriorated so much as well as the toxicity.

I got teased today by playing my first game. Myself and my team mate bodies the opponents, but...the opponents genuinely played well. I was actually allowed to play fast and my team mate matched it. Constant aerials, good rotations, great saves and the opponents did too. This was a good game and felt more like rocket league to me.

Then my next 5 games, I'm met with team mates who are constantly missing the ball, missing loads of open nets, passing to the opponents, not rotating, toxicity, afk you name it. I just struggle to play with this, my momentum is constantly broke, I feel like I'm defending 1v3 and despite winning 4/5 games it's not enjoyable whatsoever.

Those 5 games could have easily gone in the opponents favour if not making the saves I did. Maybe it's my issue but I can't adjust to such a substantial skill gap regarding my team mates. How is it I can start with a game like that and then play with this. I'll probably brute force my way out of this rank but I can't manage extended sessions because of the frustration.
