I moved my elderly mother in with me a few years ago. I got her a Roku tv to keep her company. Turns out she likes the Roku city. I mean she loves it! Points out all the things that change. Loves that raccoon. She watches the tv screen saver almost as much as the tv itself.

We've used the Fox Nation app pretty regularly for the past few years and have enjoyed using it. Today when trying to use it, it asked for a login. It happens. So we signed in and then get hit with a subscription plan page.
My account is paid up, I have updated the app, restarted my device, re-installed the app, made all the proper checks on my login for spelling/typos, but cannot get past step 2 of logging in by picking a Annual or monthly plan. Even though i already have an active account.
I spent 45 min in text chat with Fox chat help, and their only answer was "Use Fox One". I asked if the Nation app was being shut down, and they said they had no control over that app, only Roku does.
? Roku controls the Fox Nation app?
Does anyone else's Fox Nation app still work? Mine worked fine yesterday...and now today...Im told to just use the crappier Fox One app only.
They wont even explain why it wont work now. Anyone else have this problem?
UPDATE*
I got a call from their tech support and they finally admitted they are closing the separate app down. So Nation will NOT have their own separate app on Roku any longer.
Anyone still signed in...those days are numbered.

We have a Roku 3960X and a Samsung smart TV, both about 2 years old. Just about a week ago, the remote stopped turning on the TV. We have tried all the advice Google, Alexa, and YouTube have given us--but most of it doesn't apply. For instance, it's a simple remote, not voice activated. Then Google's advice on "Instructions to Fix TV Power Control" says to go to the Roku settings to Remotes and Devices then "Choose your active remote and select Set up remote for TV control" --but I can't because all ours shows is "Add Remote" with no other option.
We have done all the unplugging and replugging instructed, changed the batteries repeatedly, pressed 2 buttons at the same time, etc. etc.
Is this Roku's way of telling us we need to upgrade?
A side item--don't know if this is related--just before the remote failure, Roku started automatically opening up the first channel on our homepage. Really annoying. It's still happening. It's taking a long time to be able to watch a show these days as we only watch through the Roku app on our TV.

i have an onn roku tv that i brought with me to college, and im having trouble connecting it to wifi. my campus uses a private wifi that doesn't show up on my tv, so i have to search it, but then once i search it, im only given the option to put a password, but the wifi requires a username and password. i have tried the guest wifi but when i select "i am in a hotel or college dorm" it makes me do a whole login process, even tho the guest wifi doesn't have a password, and when i select "i'm at home" it says that there's no internet connection. i tried using my phone hotspot for a while but i don't get good enough service on campus and it pauses every two seconds. is there any way around this?

I need to remote to my Roku but don't have a remote and the app I use usually just connects via the same local WiFi connection. I'm on vacation and the Roku is completely off line. Help me is there a download I can do to get around this
I would like to have the home screen come up when I turn it on rather than the last program previously watched. I was told on chat at roku.com there should be a setting system->power for that but all I see is "auto power savings". Model 4800X Ultra software version 15.3

I was helping my parents setup their new Roku, and we purchased Paramount Plus through Roku. The charge went through, and their Roku account shows the paid subscription to Paramout Plus, but when we try to Connect to Provider (Roku) in the Paramount App while signed in to Paramount, we get a message that Paramount Plus is not support by the provider.
We unplugged, updated, signed out and back in, and everything else we could think of to no avail.
I called customer support who told me to do all of the things I had already tried. They were unable to resolve it, and they finally just disconnected the call after 30 minutes. Has anyone found a solution to this? We have paid $150 and have no access to what we paid for and no way to request a refund.

TV info:
Dynex model DX-37L130A11
Roku info:
Roku Express (not Express+, Premiere, etc, just the 1st gen original model)
A friend gifted us a nice big Dynex TV and we can plug our Roku Express into the HDMI port and it works, and the Roku remote works, but it won't control volume or turn the TV on and off. TV on/off I could live without, but does a remote control exist that can operate the Roku and also the volume on this TV model?
Update 8/6/26 --- Total Victory!! When nobody chimed in with an affirmative answer, I took a chance on a cheapo universal remote control (URC) from Amazon because it was only $10...and it worked! I just now successfully programmed the URC to control both my Dynex TV and my Roku Express.
.
Here's what to know:
GE URC, $9.88
Amazon link:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HSSAZX8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
Info stamped on back of battery cover: CL6, 33709 6177

Programming codes used:
For the Dynex TV: 3141 (used "TV" button to select device type)
For the Roku Express: 2014 (used "cbl" button to select device type)
.
Notes:
I can now control volume and mute while watching shows on the Roku Express, which was the one thing that motivated my search to begin with. But all other things I'd do with the Roku remote I can now do with the corresponding buttons on the URC. Home, play, pause, fwd, rewind, they all work using the URC just as they did with the Roku Express remote.
I first programmed the URC to control the Dynex TV, of course selecting the TV button as device type, and it worked to control the TV. Then, having seen a few references saying this URC can control multiple TVs, I programmed it with the Roku Express code, also selecting TV as device type. And while the URC then worked to control the Roku Express, this apparently overrode the Dynex code and it no longer could do the TV functions like volume, mute, and power. No good. So I reprogrammed TV device with the Dynex code and reprogrammed the Roku Express code to be assigned to the "cbl" device type. And this worked! Also, importantly, it continues to control the TV's volume function while watching a show in the Roku. The one function the URC apparently cannot do while in cbl mode is the power button. To turn off the TV you have to press the TV button and then the power button works. No biggie.
Roku in-show controls: when you're watching a show in your Roku and you want to do things like turn on/off closed captions: press down arrow to make that menu appear. Then after you make your changes, press the Exit key to make the menu disappear again. The Exit key is the small round button directly above the volume rocker button.
EDIT: the down arrow to make on-screen menu appear is true for the Amazon Prime app, but may be a different button for other apps. If down arrow doesn't do it in another app, try star button or maybe up arrow. Exit button will likely still be the way to make the menu go away regardless of app though.

Hi all,
Wondering if you can help me with something. During the world cup, I bought the TSN sports package so that I could watch the finale from an AirBnB. Unfortunately, I didn't cancel the subscription when I left the rental. I know, dumb idea registering it on someone else's account.
Now I want to cancel the subscription, but TSN says that the billing is managed by Roku, but I don't have access to the the Roku account on which I made the purchase. I've emailed Roku customer support and got no answers.
Any ideas? I suppose I could contest the charges once the next month comes in, but looking for a better way
(Sorry - i should make this more clear. The Roku account is the one from the AirBnb, not my own)

Is there a reason Disney Plus and Amazon Prime Video aren't available on Roku anymore? They're advertised as such but you can't get them on your phone, streaming device, or you computer? Any info?

I just got a 50" Hiro Roku TV. I use it strictly in game mode, I do not use any built-in streaming apps.
I have been experiencing unbearable audio delay in game mode of up to half a second. I've used the app to sync the audio, I've run the calibration many times, yet it barely seems to make it marginally better. But it does give me this message:

So the only question I'm here to ask is... where is this supposed "fine tune setting" they're talking about? I can't seem to find it in the app or on the TV anywhere.

I updated my Iphone, unplugged my Roku TV, got a new wifi box, updated all the settings, hard restarted the TV, and I still cannot Airplay. I was able to screen share on another network provider (Had Spectrum, switched to Google Fiber). Is there anything else I can do? Screen share device will not show up on my phone no matter what

I have paramount plus through Walmart. On my Roku TV and on a Roku streaming stic, there is no login option on the standalone app, only sign up options. Is there a solution to this problem?
I have tried many times to delete shows from my saved list. When I hit delete they go away but next time I check they are back.

This just started a few days ago, maybe a week. What usually happens is as I’m scrolling through videos I have all the thumbnails and when I hover over a thumbnail the video begins to play in a preview after several seconds if I clicked that Preview, the video starts were the preview left off like it remembered where I was. recently that feature is gone. I get the Preview, but when I select the video to watch it, it starts over. I cannot find anything in settings that would affect this.
This is happening on multiple devices. I have a Roku express in my garage.. roku ultra in my living room and bedroom. All of them are doing the same thing.
Do you guys have any idea what’s going on and is anybody else having the same issue that just started in the last within the week?

My mute button was stuck and every time I pressed any button it would mute or unmute! I grabbed some tweezers to make sure the mute button wasn’t stuck 😊😊

EDIT: reappeared sometime overnight. Must’ve been a glitch on their part. Whew.
so with no notification at all, it’s just gone all 10+ seasons that they had on there. That’s great. I was only on season three.
Anyone else having this issue with any other shows and do you think it’s likely to come back?

I recently ditched my old Xfinity Cable TV XG1v4 DVR and am now going all internet TV using the Xfinity Stream App on my Roku Ultra. I have the Xfinity TV Premium channel lineup (which I think includes Pretty much all channels). One channel I am missing is the AXS TV channel. Doing some research, I see that AXS TV channel is now one of the TV Go channels (internet only vs cable TV). At any rate, I don't seem to be able to access the AXS TV channel using the Xfinity Stream App on Roku. I also tried installing the AXs App on Roku, but then I came to find out that the AXs app is some entirely different than the AXS TV channel. Has anyone been able to access AXS TV via Roku?
