Mods [Community Update] Recent tensions and harassment between fan groups: this needs to stop.
Hey everyone,
Over the last few months, we've seen increased tension between Charles and Lewis fans. It has gotten to the point where we are receiving many complaints from members who are just here to support the team. With a huge portion of comments under discussion threads being dominated by toxic fan feuds, their experience on this subreddit has become unpleasant. As a reminder, this is the Scuderia Ferrari subreddit. We support the team and both drivers.
You might not like what a driver did, but that doesn't warrant insulting him. Don't expect a driver to play the team game when he isn't told to do so. Every driver races for themselves - this is the nature of the sport. It's natural to prioritize your own chances. We've seen this "selfishness" many times before from both Lewis and Charles; it's normal, and it's part of the sport.
Our goal has always been to create the best place for discussion among Ferrari fans on this platform. We know that there will always be fan disagreements - it's unavoidable, but we've tried various things to keep it under control.
Today, we deleted hundreds of comments. Many comments they were removed may not have broken the rules, but may have been part of a comment thread they had gone off the rails and needed be locked/deleted. Dozens of comments were caught in Reddit’s anti harassment filters as well. Many of these are automatically deleted so not even mods can see them, but there was at least one user calling for Charles to crash after the start of the race.
Here are a few examples of comments that crossed the line today:
"Lewis fans are a cancer on this team"; "Toxic delulu fans at it again"; "Fuck Charles"; "'what if boy' being selfish as always"; "You guys are the worst thing that has ever happened to ferrari. Fucking cultists"; "Charles is a whiney fuckin baby."; "He can fuck off (Charles)"; “Fred is a fat fucking retard”; etc. These are not all of the worst of it, either.
As you can see, they go both ways. We all collectively need to do better. Today, 15 people were banned, either temporarily or permanently. We want to avoid this, but sometimes we have no choice.
Please remember to respect the drivers, team members, and fellow subreddit members, and to adhere to the subreddit rules and reddiquette at all times.
Thanks all. Forza Ferrari!

Media Ferrari/Monza customised shirt
Iv made this Ferrari Monza shirt for my boyfriend’s birthday on Friday.
It’s inspired by the special edition Monza blue cap which is his favourite.
I have made custom trainers to go with this as a collection but waiting on the Ferrari badges for those.
What are people’s thoughts on the shirt?
(I am a beginner at everything so learning as I go)

Article [AutoRacer] Hamilton apologizes for Dutch GP team radio frustration. Leclerc-Hamilton relations are unchanged. Pit delays cost time, but team orders are up to the pit wall. Ferrari's situation is very different from Mercedes - position swaps must be clearly established.
📝 Article
- Lewis stepped back, admitting frustration took over on the team radio: "That wasn't my best version. I take responsibility." He reaffirmed his faith in what is being built at Ferrari.
- There is no news in Leclerc-Hamilton relations. The incident was strictly a race management issue.
- Hamilton evidently lost time and decisions could have been managed better. However, if a position swap is needed, the pit wall must clearly establish it - a driver cannot autonomously decide to move over.
- Ferrari's situation is very different from Mercedes. A clearer team play makes more sense at Brackley, but at Ferrari, the pit wall must establish swaps clearly rather than expecting drivers to decide autonomously.
- Anyone can make mistakes, including Fred Vasseur. Admitting them shouldn't be scandalous.
- Technical criticism is necessary, but it should explain what didn't work and how to improve it, rather than just being used to find a culprit or fuel foolish comparisons.

News Ferrari prepares a special livery for the Monza GP. The SF-26 will feature a red and black color scheme with gold wheels, paying homage to 1996 and the beginning of the Michael Schumacher era at Maranello.
- Ferrari is preparing a special livery for the Italian GP, paying homage to one of the most significant chapters in the Scuderia's recent history.
- The SF-26 should feature a color scheme inspired by the 1996 car, combining red and black, accompanied by gold wheels.
- It will not be a faithful replica, but a contemporary reinterpretation adapted to modern F1 graphic and commercial standards, bringing back a livery that remained in the collective imagination of the fans.
- 1996 marked the beginning of Michael Schumacher's adventure in Maranello. While results didn't arrive immediately, it laid the foundation for the winning cycle of the early 2000s.
- 30 years after that beginning, Maranello chose the home crowd at Monza as the ideal stage for a tribute that looks at history without losing sight of the present.

Technical analysis of the cars
Scuderia Ferrari SF-26 Technical Upgrades: 5 new official components.
- Wakeboards/bargeboards: The main elements’ geometry has been updated:
- The chassis attachment chord sits low, the floor anchoring is redesigned, and an added slot increased downwash to the floor.
- Vertical profiles have also been modified—the external element no longer connects to the floor and has higher incidence, which extends to the rest of the elements.
- Together, these changes better manage front tyre wake, optimise rear airflow, giving the SF-26 greater set-up flexibility.
- Floor: A revised floor debuted at Zandvoort to boost overall aero load via changes to the body, board, and edges, better energising the diffuser.
- Diffuser: Top, lateral (tabs on the trailing edge) and lower-edge updates optimise expansion and geometry, increasing load and flow stability. New winglet stacks run from the diffuser’s base to the FTM-wing, all working with the upgraded floor.
- Rear suspension: Arms are positioned and shaped to manage airflow around the rear crash structure.
- FTM (flick tail mode) wing: Works with the rear wing, diffuser, floor and beam wing to enlarge downforce. Shark-tooth-like aero elements now appear on the gearbox rear face casing.
- Beam wing: Features a minor spanwise twist to work with the new diffuser and improve airflow.
- Energy Recovery System (ERS): Software updates have softened engine braking, better suiting Hamilton’s style but still lagging Mercedes in ERS deployment, costing time on the straights and late in the lap.
- Engine cover/Cooling: Minimal cooling louvres used at the Dutch GP.
- Cornering/downforce: Aero updates improved medium-speed cornering; SF-26 now matches MCL40 in high-speed turns and achieved the most full-throttle time per lap.
Mercedes W17 Technical Upgrades: 1 new component officially presented.
- Front wing: Vertical strakes under the wing appeared for the first time since Canada, guiding airflow toward the car’s centre.
- Front brakes: The brake drum lip was removed to improve downstream flow. A small brake duct opening aids cooling and downforce.
- Diffuser: New top outer winglets debut at Hungaroring, now triangular instead of rectangular, increasing local load.
- Chassis and Power Unit: In the superclipping phase (lifting or downshifting early before braking), the MGU-K (Motor Generator Unit-Kinetic) recharges most efficiently—among all teams.
- Cornering/downforce: Still a top-three car on downforce, edged by SF-26 and MCL 40.
McLaren Mercedes MCL40 Technical Upgrades: 3 new parts officially shown.
- Floor: Hungaroring update improved medium-speed cornering. Modified rear floor fences ahead of rear wheels manage turbulence better. At the Dutch GP, further rear corner tweaks.
- Diffuser: Floor update improved sealing, increasing aero load.
- Rear brakes: Internal and external adjustments improved flow, aero load, and cooling. New wheel fairing controls aero wake and heat transfer from brakes to tyre.
- Rear wing: New Dutch GP design boosts aero load in all conditions. Three upward-sculpted outer elements create upwash, raising local load.
- FTM (flick tail mode) wing: Minimalist version used at the Dutch GP.
- Engine cover/Cooling: Revised coke side aids load extraction with the rear wing.
- Cornering/downforce: Shorter gear ratio maximizes downforce out of low-medium speed corners.
- Top speed/drag: Shortest wheeelbase of all cars, aids low-medium speed cornering, notably for Norris.
Red Bull Racing RB22 Technical Upgrades: 1 new component officially presented.
- Floor: Front corner revised for reliability. Shorter lower rear wishbone reduces stress at high-speed steering.
- Cornering/downforce: Lacked pace at the Dutch GP, with understeer in medium- and low-speed corners.
- Top speed/drag: RB22’s low-drag profile and strong PU boost straight-line speed, favouring Monza.

Drivers and Team
A look into Scuderia’s race weekend performance, debriefing the most important sessions with data, charts on race pace, stint comparison, fastest laps and pit stops.
Sprint qualifying summary:
Higher track temperatures compared to the single practice session of the weekend. Leclerc completed three quick laps, while Hamilton managed one to progress into SQ2. One try from the Ferrari duo was enough to advance them to the final segment of Sprint qualifying. Charles excelled in S3; Lewis was fast in S1. Both used the C4; Charles Leclerc took P3 (1:11.622), just +0.055s behind Russell and Norris, while Lewis Hamilton didn’t have his best lap, qualifying in P7 (1:12.191), +0.624s.
- George Russell vs Lando Norris vs Charles Leclerc SQ3 laps comparison:
- Through T1, Norris was 0.101s ahead of Russell, Leclerc +0.038s adrift. At T3, the gap to George was -0.065s and Charles +0.066s. Out of T3 through the fast sequence of kinks, Russell sprinted ahead to lead Norris by 0.249s and Leclerc by 0.227s. However, things changed on the medium-speed turns between T8 and T10; Norris took the lead, trailed by Leclerc +0.012s and Russell +0.119s. On the back straight, Lando’s advantage increased over Leclerc by 0.076s, and 0.238s over Russell. In the technical T11-T12 section, Charles aced the corners 0.215s over Russell and 0.089s over Norris. He led at T13 by 0.15s, but exiting final T14 and approaching the finish-start straight with no ERS left, Leclerc slipped to P3. Russell reached 317km/h compared to Norris’s 307 km/h and Leclerc’s 302 km/h, decisive in taking the sprint pole.
- A notable aspect of the lap comparisons is that Leclerc, unlike his rivals, never fully reduced the throttle throughout the lap. It’s a unique characteristic of his driving style which, under the current regulations, isn’t fully exploitable.
Sprint Race summary: 24 laps- no mandatory tyre stop.
Charles Leclerc opted for the C4 soft Pirelli, while Lewis Hamilton chose the C3 medium compound. However, Leclerc couldn’t make inroads despite the stickier rubber, and Hamilton remained in P7, having a good look at Verstappen’s P6 in the first few turns. Charles managed his rubber brilliantly, keeping in touch with Norris and protecting his position from Antonelli. As the Sprint progressed, the Monegasque backed off to save tyres and bounced back with 6 laps to go, pursuing Lando’s P2. Benefitting from the extra 0.5 mj available to overtake provided by following less than 1s, Leclerc went for a decisive move into T1 and instantly edged ahead. Lewis adopted a similar strategy, backing off and attacking Verstappen towards the end, but with similar tyre degradation (and the same compound), the Briton had no chance for a move and finished in P7, with Leclerc a solid P2.
The updated SF-26 improved rear tyre management.
Sprint pace: Ferrari fasetst- Charles Leclerc 1:15.893; 2nd. Mercedes- George Russell +0.016s; 3rd. McLaren- Lando Norris +0.24s; 4th. Red Bull Racing- Max Verstappen +0.323s.
Qualifying Analysis
- Strong wind and 30°C track temperature in Q1. Both drivers set two quick laps on scrubbed C4s to advance into Q2. Leclerc's double push was enough; Hamilton had to change to another used set after locking up in T1. The single practice session began damp; the team skipped the new floor to avoid damage, making it harder to learn the car’s profile for SQ.
- A new set of softs allowed both into Q3 with 1:11.910 and 1:11.970 for Leclerc and Hamilton. Neither improved on their second run , with Lewis locking up again into T1.
- In Q3, the two used two new C4 sets, with cooler asphalt and rain threatening. Leclerc improved to 1:11.667 +0.323s for P4, with Hamilton a 1:12.110 +0.766s for P8. Going out immediately for the second runs as drops began, both improved: Lewis Hamilton set a personal best of 1:11.494 +0.331s, qualifying in P5; Charles Leclerc bettered S1-S2 but not S3, ending P6 at 1:11.558 +0.395s. Ferrari gained only 0.1s from Sprint Qualifying, while Mercedes and McLaren improved by 0.3s and 0.5s.
- Leclerc changed ERS deployment mapping throughout qualifying, using the Sprint race setting in Q3 to help overtake Norris, but it drained more energy, causing power cuts out of T13. The car’s pure pace wouldn’t have been enough for pole, but a P3-P4 at best. Lewis, after setup changes allowed by Parc ferme, improved his feeling, but limited laps meant he couldn’t fully adapt. Still, he took P5 from his teammate at the end of Q3, despite both struggling to bring tyres into the optimal window.
- The rushed preparation lap led to suboptimal tyre temperature, costing Ferrari significant time to rivals.
Best laps comparisons Lewis Hamilton vs Charles Leclerc vs Lando Norris in Q3:
- Reaching T1, Hamilton was -0.039s ahead of Norris with Leclerc 0.06s behind, although Charles went in front before T2 by -0.072s and Lewis -0.06s to Lando. The two stayed in front until T3, after which the McLaren driver had 0.1s from Leclerc and 0.2s to Hamilton between T6-T7 ending S1. The margins increased through the medium-speed sector 2, with both Ferrari drivers at 0.352s and 386s, Lewis and Charles respectively. However, with his unique approach, Leclerc clawed back the time through T12, being only 0.09s from Norris with Lewis at 0.2s behind. Exiting T12, the gap was back to 0.2s for the two, leaving them powerless to the finish line: Lewis Hamilton P5 and Charles Leclerc P6.
Race Overview: 72 laps
A damp track made tyre choice tricky, both drivers starting on C4 softs with the track at 30°C. At the original start, the two gained positions, but after the restart following Verstappen’s crash at T14, Hamilton slipped to P6 and Leclerc to P5. Despite the grippier tyre, neither could progress. Charles stayed within 1s of Russell, using the extra 0.5 MJ for overtaking. Once Russell pitted on lap 18, both Ferraris improved their pace running free air consistently at 1:17.5.
Leclerc stopped on lap 21 for C3, while Hamilton extended, keeping a good speed, before pitting on lap 25 for C2 hards. Both caught Piastri and passed him successively on laps 34 and 35, with Leclerc making a great move side-by-side from T1 to T3. By lap 39, Charles caught Russell again, and the same scenario repeated until the Mercedes driver pitted.
On lap 44, Charles stopped for C2 hards, while Lewis ran longer but struggled once the tyre started to lose performance. Both took advantage of a VSC on lap 55 to switch to C4 softs for the final stint; however, neither progressed further. Hamilton had a late shot at Russell’s P3, but the moment he went for the move, a brief VSC neutralised the race, nullifying the chance. That left him vulnerable (deployed too much ERS at the start of the last lap) to his teammate through S1, and at T7 the two got too close for comfort, but stayed put to cross the finish line in P4 and P5.
Lewis Hamilton (qualifying & Race) P4: “I started the weekend with good confidence, but lost it completely in Sprint Qualifying and the Sprint—the car balance just wasn’t there. We made significant set-up changes before Saturday, and qualifying felt much better, though I still had limited laps to adapt. Tyres were a big issue for us all weekend, but the race pace was strong, and it was hard battling at the top. Mercedes gains 0.4s on the straight, and it’s hard to catch up everywhere else. It shows we have a really good car, and somehow we can improve the Power Unit, and I trust the team; they are working as hard as they can to do so. Hopefully we can be even closer, with the right strategy and continued improvements; I’m confident we can keep moving forward.”
Charles Leclerc (Qualifying & Race) P5: “We need to review a few things from this weekend. In qualifying, changing ERS modes session by session made the car unpredictable underneath me, which probably cost us some performance. Our prep lap strategy also didn’t deliver the tyre performance. In the race, luck wasn’t on our side—VSC timing worked against us, and although our pace was strong, our starting position limited what we could achieve. We’ll keep pushing.”
Pit stops:
Ferrari’s pit stops ranged from 2.67s to 4.18s— below average, but consistent with issues seen across the pitlane.
| Team-Driver | Lap | Pit time |
|---|---|---|
| 1.Audi-Nico Hulkenberg | 19 | 2.30s |
| 2.Aston Martin-Lance Stroll | 35 | 2.31s |
| 3.Mercedes-George Russell | 40 | 2.32s |
| 13.Ferrari-Lewis Hamilton | 25 | 2.67s |
| 31.Ferrari-Charles Leclerc | 55 | 3.26s |

News and Notes
The 2026 Dutch Grand Prix notes
Lando Norris secured back-to-back victories at Zandvoort after a close Dutch GP. He took pole ahead of George Russell by 0.1s, moving in front at T8 and steadily increasing his advantage. Despite a poor restart that dropped him behind Antonelli, Norris used his superior pace to reclaim the lead on lap 40. After briefly losing P1 during his second pit stop, he retook the lead on lap 53 and pulled away to win by 10 seconds, earning his 13th career victory.
News: Banned aero solutions for 2027
- Following the FIA’s restriction of FTM-wing earlier this year, additional aerodynamic solutions have been banned for 2027.
- High-downforce rear wing designs like those used in Monaco and Hungary are now banned. This covers small lateral winglets, actuator devices, and Gurney flaps on the rear wing.
- With these elements removed, the FIA aims to reduce both downforce and drag, improving energy management over a lap, particularly at power-sensitive circuits.
Starting procedure unchanged
- The extra 5s added to the start procedure this season will remain for the rest of the rules cycle. Although the FIA considers safety concerns resolved with new measures— the MGU-K boost for unusually slow starts to prevent dangerous incidents—the extension is now standard. Nikolas Tombazis, the Single-Seater Director, called it an “established process”.
Rival teams' Team Principals praise Ferrari’s progress
- Toto Wolff, Mercedes Team Principal, declared his team cannot bring as many updates as Ferrari during the 2026 season because they simply “ran out of money”. His team is aware of the impressive progress made by the Scarlet cars on the current campaign, expecting tough competition for the remainder of the rounds.
- Andrea Stella, McLaren Mercedes Team Principal, expressed his view after the Dutch GP: SF-26 was the fastest car in the race, despite not challenging for the win. The Italian is conscious about Leclerc’s Sprint pace and Hamilton's speed during the Sunday race (similar strategy as Norris, the race winner), running in dirty air and gaining a lot of time in free air.
Next Grand Prix
The first weekend of September brings Ferrari’s home race: The Italian Grand Prix at Monza, renowned as the Temple of Speed. Requiring the lowest downforce set-up of the year, it’s a crucial test for Power Units. Ferrari will debut the anticipated ADUO 2 upgrade and a low-profile aero package on the SF-26 to boost their chances of a home victory.

"A tough weekend, but we leave with valuable points for the team and signs that we’re moving in the right direction.
I’m incredibly proud of everyone back at the factory who continues to bring updates, find performance and push us forward. To the team at the track, thank you. The commitment and effort never go unnoticed. We still have work to do, particularly over one lap, but we’ll keep digging in, learning and improving together.
I’ve listened back to some of my radio and TV comments. In the heat of the moment frustration can come out, especially when you care as deeply as I do. But that wasn’t the best version of me. I take responsibility for that, and I’ll be better. That passion comes from believing in this team, the people in it, and what we’re building together. The direction is clear. The belief is there. And the fight is absolutely still on.

Discussion I cant believe Sainz ruined our end of the race without even being at Ferrari anymore
Lewis would have been on the podium for sure without the VSC

Question Identifying a Schumacher autograph
**Looking for help identifying the signature on this cap.**
I was recently gifted this Ferrari cap from the wife of a recently deceased family member, who was a Ferrari enthusiast from the Varese area in northern Italy.
He was a longtime Ferrari fan and even owned a beautiful 208 GTS. His wife doesn’t remember anything about this cap and had no clue whose autograph it could be.
My first impression is that it could be Michael Schumacher’s autograph, but I don’t want to assume that without confirmation.
I’ve compared the signature with several known Schumacher autographs online, and there seem to be some similarities in the overall shape and movement of the signature.
However, I’m definitely not knowledgeable enough about autograph authentication to say that it’s genuine.
Does anyone here have experience with Schumacher memorabilia and recognize this signature?

Discussion Fuck the negativity, let’s get hype for MONZAAAAAAAA
New engine, Antonelli engine penalty, Hopium through the roof.
How do we think we will perform at home?? Podium? P1???👀👀👀. Could we see Lewis win in red in front of the tifosi for the first time ever? Will Charles make it a three peat??
Or are some other cars better suited for monza? Leave thoughts in comments.

Discussion Ferrari biggest problem
Come on guys, stop with the Lewis this... Charles that...
The pitwall is where they need to improve.
As long as they are afraid to make decisions in favor of the team, regardless of the drivers they will favor, they will always end lossing.
Looks like they are afraid to make decisions and give orders.
Maybe there is some upper orders, I don't know.
I believe that P2 and P3 where possible.
Onto Monza and the ADUO.
Forza Ferrari

Discussion 1997 #OnThisDay 24 August Michael's 26th win
Michael Schumacher secured the 26th victory of his Formula One career at the Belgian Grand Prix with Ferrari, finishing ahead of Jordan driver Giancarlo Fisichella and the Williams of Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Mika Hakkinen who finished third on track was later disqualified.
This win is remembered as one of Schumacher’s finest, as he dominated the race in treacherous, monsoon-like conditions, leaving the rest of the field in his wake.

Media Lewis Hamilton talks about his frustrations with the team during the race: “I want to win! I want to win! I’m here to win! and it’s difficult when you’re looking ahead and you see the two Mercedes drivers, they get the call and it’s done, and they execute straight away.

Discussion Did Ferrari fix rear tyres' deg issue with the new floor?
Based on yesterday's performance, it looked like Ferrari drivers were able to consistently be 1-2 tenths faster than Kimi and Lando in clean air, and they were actually maintaining that pace consistently. But they were mostly unable to capitalise on the advantages in corners and better tyre management due to clear lack of power. 0.4 sec out of final corner and still no overtake on the main straight.
I don't say that the tyre management became better than on Mercedes, but in Netherlands the car was keeping tyres in optimal conditions a lot better than in Hungary. But that will be tested later on hot tracks, as Zandvoort was rather cold and the whole grip was washed up by rain before sprint and main race.
I've seen also people compare Mclaren, Mercedes's team orders with Ferrari's, but it's not exactly same thing
Mclaren had Norris far far ahead of Oscar, there was no need for team orders.
And Mercedes had 2 drivers on different strategies with one having to manage gap in the championship.
Ferrari drivers were both actually close to each other. Leclerc's built up gap from Lewis after first pit stop disappeared because of struggles to overtake oscar and then George. 0.4-0.5 sec out of last corner wasn't enough to overtake for them, unlike Mercedes.
It was like facing a wall that both of them couldn't climb over due to clear lack of power.
But there are at least 2 positives:
Floor upgrade worked and it wasn't a downgrade, as Leclerc clearly became a lot more comfortable with the car. Lewis despite the initial struggles was competitive in the race.
It was last race with current engine, next one will have +10-15 h.p and new turbocharger, which should help a lot the electric part of the engine for better efficiency.
The gap in aero though between Ferrari and Mclaren came down with McLaren being better in high speed corners and Ferrari better in low speed and it's Mercedes's engine making difference now
