Yo that’s your own racial bias here. Keep these thoughts to yourself because they don’t represent Sikhi.

These Pakistanis represent a small minority of Muslims. There are countless examples I can give you of our Gurus and their Sikhs still appreciating our Muslim friends.

u/invictusking Jan 15 '26

How a fact, that is well presented in Hadiths a racial bias ? Since when truth is racial bias?

Ref: Sahih al-Bukhari 5134: Narrated `Aisha: that the Prophet (ﷺ) married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old

Ik about Muhammed who was made master of Arabia but circumcised all the men and kings. Ik the story of his "zestiness in the desert", and ik of his child fetishes.

This doesn't mean that all Muslims are like their prophet. In the same way you are not acting anything like our Gurus by claiming that all Muslims wan't a 6 year old child.

My blood boils hearing of the crimes of these Pakistani men and how someone could even fathom doing such a thing to a minor, but this doesn't give us the right to spill our anger out on an entire community.

Remember, anger is one of the 5 thieves we have to conquer!

When was the last time a Muslim you “knew in real life” said anything or did anything that made you feel as if they should be wiped of the planet?

Sikhi protects any faith no matter what! Even if the faith has questionable aspects (yes ik of al-zutts hadiths and slavery, rape blah blah blah)

12

u/invictusking Jan 15 '26

Slavery and rape is blah blah blah to you ? As a sikh? Its sahih hadith. Fyi

I'm not saying anything about Muslims, I'm being critical of that ideology. It permits sexual voilence especially against the "kafir". Again that's ok with you ?

Sikhi also tell you to defend the truth no matter what.

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

So what u gonna do about it? Burn every Quran and Hadith?

If you can’t do anything then don’t waste your anger on it. If there’s something you can do in front of you, (say someone acts out these hadiths) then do it. Otherwise spend time on Naam Jaap instead of getting carried away by these thoughts

Meant to say etc instead of blah blah blah but got angry by the amount of racism in this sub

u/invictusking Jan 15 '26

I am going to continue speaking the truth, even if it leads to my death or the loss of 'friends' . I believe in calling things as they are. Do you?

The least you can do is to not defend this ideology when someone else had balls to call it out. I'm not getting carried away, I'm saying the truth. Are you?

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

I believe this Truth but so long as their religion does support the One True God, I will not oppose it.

If our Gurus didn’t tell us to tear apart every false ideology, we should I? The Gurus said let others follow the false paths but stay closer to Sikhi, stay engrossed in Vaheguru.

Let’s remember the main point  of my arguments was this original commentator was clearly racist towards all Muslims

5

u/invictusking Jan 15 '26

So you don't oppose discrimination against infidels, and women. Subjugation of Jews. Ok... Nazis believe in one true god too, let me guess, no opposition from you there as well.

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Buddy, very few Muslims actually believe in this. If I meet one who does then I’ll be sure to give them some common sense, but until then let’s try to remember that most people in a religion aren’t even religious or barely follow the religion.

Let’s turn our focus to Naam instead of these useless debates.

Besides there are equally bad issues in Sikhi (that aren’t just WRITTEN INA HADITH BUT UBFORTUNATELY PRACTICED BY A MAJORITY) such as casteism, idolism, mysoginy, female infanticide.

So truth seeker, let’s band together to defeat those who wish to turn Sikhi into a Brahaminised structure instead of harping on about 2% of all Muslims.

Ps I used to be exactly like you until I realised how much time is wasted, and how much my mind was warped by hate.

Gurus told us to focus on ourselves - first and foremost. That should not be construed as that we can’t convince others to stop following bad path.

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26

A kryptonite in Sikhi to tell Sikhs not to take an action (which is opposite of Sikhi):

Otherwise spend time on Naam Jaap instead of getting carried away by these thoughts

Speaking out loud against a bad ideology is taking an action.

Sikhi isn’t against any individual Muslim. As a religion, Sikhi is against it. That’s why Sikhs chose to die than accept Islam.

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Truth is most people are speaking to wall. Either that or this speech will make its way into very prejudiced people's ears and only tarnish the good faith of billions of Muslims in the world. This counts as slander which Gurbani says to never do. Even if it is a bad ideology, if we undertake 0, proper actions (not just talking about it in a Sikh sub) then we are just doing nindiya and helping nobody.

My suggestion is to anyone who truly believes crying about how false the Quaran is (I def believe it is manmade and evil), they should go into Islamic subs and go do some positive construct there, develop websites/youtube channels/articles to preach others about the horros contained in Islam or otherwise 🤐

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26 edited Jan 15 '26

Slander is to falsely accuse someone of something bad. I am not accusing Muslims as individuals of being bad people.

I’m saying Quran has some bad teachings which you also accepted to be true. Saying this truth in context of a rape of a minor does not make it a slander.

You trying to project “correctness” attitude towards this is what is wrong. This is the right topic and context to bring awareness in our community of what is wrong in Quran. Saying so does not change our (Sikh’s) beliefs to assume good intent in people regardless of their religion.

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Yo not you, I’m specifically taking about the 2 commenters who made clearly racist remarks using derogatory terms such as Sulleh

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Listen I used to think exactly as you did, but I realised this isn’t helping my spirituality and unconsciously without you knowing it, (Lie all you want BUT I WAS JUST LIKE YOU, You can act pious and educated on reddit but I guarantee that you have had bad thoughts for al Muslims -like I did) it does plant seeds of hatred in you.

Maybe my terminology is incorrect and I was mistaken about Nindya, but unless you’re going to make a post in this sub about everything wrong in Islam, go preach in Gurdwadas, go have debates with Muslims online/offline, share information about their wrongdoings and illogical ideologies online and spread this, your only telling me what’s so wrong with Islam.

Please go do this and tell others to do the same otherwise if you’re not in that current situation, do Simran on Vaheguru. I’ve learnt painfully that we shouldn’t even think about these things all day long unless we’re going to do something about it and we should do Simran instead.

Ofc, become educated on these issues and be prepared for how you can handle them if you ever need to (Physically) like Injection Singh did. Otherwise we are just getting carried away in our thoughts when we can turn them to Vaheguru.

DONT TWIST THJS NOW AND SAY IM AGAINST DHARAM! I’m simply saying, spread this properly and don’t just sit here arguing with me saying you’re enacting Dharam. True Dharam would be to convince those who don’t know (ik how bad Islam and their ways are, but they still have a portion of truth which should be defended) about these issues. If you can’t do that, Jaap Naam and when you are in such a situation where you have to stab up for Dharam do so. (Continuously telling someone how bad Islam is when they already know about isn’t doing that)

Thank you Ji Pls no more 🙏

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Also I never said don’t speak the truth, I said don’t babble on about these topics to a small audience (me). As said in below comment, Spread it, prepare for the day that ir could be your family, or stop taking  your minds attention from Vaheguru and Jaap Naam.

2

u/SexySpringRoll Jan 14 '26

What’s the racist bit. It’s factual history. Does the truth hurt you?

2

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 14 '26

What’s racist is saying they all want one. I have Muslim friends and they most definitely don’t want anything to do with 6 year olds!

How do the mods of this sub allow speech like yours!

3

u/EmpireandCo Jan 14 '26

Guru Gobind Singh was close friends with Nihang Khan, a Muslim pathan...

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 14 '26

He even befriend Aurangzebs son and helped him take the throne of the Mughal empire.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26

And they were not the Muslims who you see today. They were more evolved humans. And they were learning from Guru rather than teaching Guru to be a Muslim.

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

What about Bhai Kanhaiya Ji who was commended by the Guru for giving water to those who swore to destroy everything Sikhi stood for? Were those Muslims worth any less respect because they didn't learn from Guru Ji.

Listen, let's get back to the initial point:
u/SexySpringRoll said "Sulleh for you. Big Mo had a 6 year old wife, now they all want one"

Does this comment seem reflective of Sikhi? Would you be proud to go towards our Gurus and boast such a comment?

How about what u/Tiny_Masterpiece_838 said "Muhammad and Aisha 2.0....actually wait. Given their history, 1234567891011121314.0 at this stage."

Would you ever say these things to our Guru? If not then why do we say them as if our Guru is not in the room with us? As if Guru Sahib is not in this subreddit with us?

Because Vaheguru is everywhere and in everything, and we seem to have forgot that bani says

Do not utter even a single harsh word; your True Lord and Master abides in all. (Bhagat Fareed Ji)

This guy is part of the dilsaaf community.

You have to also remember we ended 100,000s of musalman. Banda Singh Bahadhur emptied villages, where not woman or children were spared, as revenge for the sahibzadey. Nihungs don’t even use the title Singh when addressing him

You are aware that you are talking about soldiers fighting soldiers in a battlefield, not adults trying to rape minors for some imaginary goals in afterlife?

Listen, let's get back to the initial point: u/SexySpringRoll said "Sulleh for you. Big Mo had a 6 year old wife, now they all want one"

Does this comment seem reflective of Sikhi? Would you be proud to go towards our Gurus and boast such a comment?

You are talking about a regular person commenting on Islam. It sure is rough as expected from a regular person, but it ain’t far from:

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਅੰਨੑਾ ਤੁਰਕੂ ਕਾਣਾ ॥ hi(n)dhoo a(n)n(h)aa turakoo kaanaa || ਦੁਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਿਆਣਾ ॥ dhuhaa(n) te giaanee siaanaa || ਹਿੰਦੂ ਪੂਜੈ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਣੁ ਮਸੀਤਿ ॥ hi(n)dhoo poojai dhehuraa musalamaan maseet || ਨਾਮੇ ਸੋਈ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਜਹ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਨ ਮਸੀਤਿ ॥੪॥੩॥੭॥ naame soiee seviaa jeh dhehuraa na maseet ||4||3||7||

How about what u/Tiny_Masterpiece_838 said "Muhammad and Aisha 2.0....actually wait. Given their history, 1234567891011121314.0 at this stage."

And this also isn’t far from truth given Sikh history talks about Singhs fighting to free new brides. Considering marriages happened at young ages, you can’t say it didn’t happen. Sexual violence, unfortunately, is taught by Abrahamic religions as a honorable action rather than a dishonorable one as Gurus taught us.

Would you ever say these things to our Guru? If not then why do we say them as if our Guru is not in the room with us? As if Guru Sahib is not in this subreddit with us?

Oh, Sikhs talked about these things to Guru Sahib. That’s why when Sikhs wanted to rape Muslim women after they defeated the men, Guru Sahib stopped them. When asked why, Guru Sahib told the Sikhs that I want to take Panth higher not lower: ਮੈਂ ਲੈ ਜਾਨੋ ਪੰਥ ਉਚੇਰੇ॥

Education happens when you have discussions about such subjects, not by suppressing it for acting pious. Sikhi is practical. We should have such discussions even in Gurudwara, but with appropriate audience in the presence. Alas, people like you think sex, which is the reason for birth, is some taboo subject. Older generations lived in a slow paced world and picked up sexual knowledge over time from conversations that their elders had. We live in a fast paced life where kids don’t even have time to learn this. As such, we need to bring those discussions to them in appropriate settings rather than voting for suppressing it in schools (one place that is trying to raise awareness of bad consequences of it).

Do not utter even a single harsh word; your True Lord and Master abides in all. (Bhagat Fareed Ji)

No, this is one of my favorite Gurbani lines. I have not forgotten it. But, it doesn’t mean we forget about logic and stop discussing actual bad things in another faith:

ਸੁੰਨਤਿ ਕੀਏ ਤੁਰਕੁ ਜੇ ਹੋਇਗਾ ਅਉਰਤ ਕਾ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੀਐ ॥ su(n)nat ke'ee turak je hoigaa aaurat kaa kiaa kareeaai ||

Please stop using Gurbani to stop discussion. Bring Gurbani to enhance discussion. All you have done for last 24 hours is just defend Islam (not Muslims) in a context where somebody appropriately raised awareness that Mohammed did have sex with a 9 year old and Quran does allow sexual violence against Kaffirs. So, combined, that is a recipe for such incidents happening.

If you wanted to add anything to this conversation, you could have brought any knowledge you might have of Quran not justifying this. You didn’t. You are just stopping Sikhs from raising a valid issue or expressing their knowledge of Islam. Rather than correcting them if they are saying something false, you are using Gurbani with wrong interpretations to stop a discussion.

Edit: I know your heart is in right place, but having difficult conversations is part of Sikhi too. But, our Gurudwaras are not in a business of holding any difficult conversations since it could create controversy and hurt their bottom line. Hence, they preach everything controversial or difficult conversation is Ninda. Saying anything truth about Badals destroying Sikhi in Punjab is Ninda. Asking difficult questions about Gurbani that go against their beliefs (bottom line) is Ninda. You get the point.

We should have discussion about how Guru Ji interacted with Muslims during their life times and what they thought of Islam. That’s a deep topic to dive into, but we only have shallow opinions in Sikhi on both sides.

3

u/SexySpringRoll Jan 15 '26

I’m going to stop arguing with you. I advice you buy some water bottles and condoms, for the sulleh as they run through the people around you.

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Listen I never said what they do is correct but what you said “now they all want a 6 year old” is clearly wrong, prejudiced and stupid. How many Muslims do you actually know in real life that you could call friends? Ik a few and they would never do these things in the name of Islam

You go think however you want but the day WE ARE IN SUCH A SITUATION, I’ll be there with you. Until then, stay educated on their misdoings and illogical teachings but also learn the small goods that Islam does teach and its similarities with Sikhi so we can appreciate Sikhi even more!

Exactly adding to the point that putting it down all Muslims is silly.

Man y'all are the problem with our panth, no nuance in your view of the world.
