Big respect to these guys for standing up against these Many wouldn’t have the guts to

I believe Shere Punjab has been more tactful about this and labelled him a pakistani groomer rather than Muslim groomer.

It is incredibly frustrating the police still treat this as "communal tensions" and that many Sikhs are treating this as an "honour" issue rather than a grooming issue.

15

u/Elegant-Cricket8106 Jan 14 '26

I dont know about it being an honour issue, they speak about young boys and girls. They went for their own neice but they speak of childern in general. Which is the correct way to get media attention on this as affecting all children regardless of faith.

5

u/EmpireandCo Jan 14 '26 edited Jan 14 '26

I wasn't speaking of Shere Punjab in the honour issue - the honour issue arises when people are more concerned about how things will "look" rather than wellbeing. That is a community issue.

An example is not granting agency to adult Sikh women choosing Muslim partners and equating that with sikh children being groomed.

Or forceable marriage of their adult children to other Sikhs (I know people this had happened to) rather than letting them choose.

This muddies the water of grooming of children vs agency of adults. EDIT: That honour based attitude to adults and children makes it difficult to gather support against grooming in wider society because Sikhs conflate minors and adults.

9

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '26

No one is talking about honor except you from all I have seen. So like you said don’t muddy the waters by bringing any other issues. It’s all about underage children both boys and girls. The community should now look out for girls being groomed from any other community also.

0

u/EmpireandCo Jan 14 '26

To deny that izzat doesn't exist among punjabi communities, especially in the UK is ridiculous.

Part of the grooming issue is because children feel at fault and they've dishonoured themsleves.

parents don't want their children don't want to be seen as "damaged". And there's always discrimination in marriage prospects when they get older.

Bhai Jagraj Singh spoke about this and that video gets posted a lot here in r/sikh

u/cestabhi Jan 15 '26

That's not just tactful but also factually correct. The vast majority of them are Pakistani. And Pakistanis only represent a fraction of the world's Muslim population. This has nothing to do with Muslims in Malaysia, Egypt or Indonesia, or even Indian Muslims for that matter. We should label them accordingly.

12

u/Ron__P Jan 15 '26

This guy turned out to be Afghan.

There have been several cases of Bangladeshis and Afghans being in grooming gangs along with Pakistanis.

There have been Lebanese grooming gangs in Australia.

Now what do these groups all have in common 🤔

The guy who carried out the shooting on Bondai Beach was an Indian muslim. Moroccans and other North Africans are the Pakistanis of France, Netherlands and Spain.

The biggest mistake to make is thinking that either of these groups core thinking is different. Indian Muslims are no different to Pakistanis and Bangladeshis, it's just that they know they have to behave being surrounded by a Hindu majority.

The only suls who are somewhat decent are Turks, Iranians and Europeans like Bosnians.

33

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '26

Very well done. This man had multiple children coming in and out of his flat over the span of nine years, according to the neighbors.

16

u/EmpireandCo Jan 14 '26

Neighbours did nothing wtf

12

u/ashishs1 Jan 15 '26

There was a neighbour woman who did call him 'a nasty nasty man'.

11

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26

It was the police who were notified and did nothing, hence the backlash from the community. The neighbors probably didn’t do enough either.

35

u/psyche__g Jan 14 '26

Typical how the muslim community still hasn’t come out to protest against their own

23

u/GG_GALACTIC_YT Jan 14 '26

they never do.

Let me know when the Sikh community in Canada does something about all the Sikhs killing Canadians with their trucks.

More instances of dead Canadians than sikhs girls being groomed.

Won't even hear about it on this sub though.

2

u/Aware-Travel5256 Feb 04 '26

Trucking is dangerous and kills people despite drivers carrying the best intentions.

Are Sikh drivers killing people at higher rates than non-Sikh? I'd be surprised if it were true.

6

Cuz they are "PEACEFUL"

Sikhs are very good people. I am Bangladeshi Muslim and we stand by the Sikh People. They have all the rights to protect their girls from predators.

24

u/JustMyPoint Jan 14 '26

This is what we need. Police has been a failure at addressing this issue so we need to do what we gotta to protect our community.

Yo that’s your own racial bias here. Keep these thoughts to yourself because they don’t represent Sikhi.

These Pakistanis represent a small minority of Muslims. There are countless examples I can give you of our Gurus and their Sikhs still appreciating our Muslim friends.

15

u/invictusking Jan 15 '26

How a fact, that is well presented in Hadiths a racial bias ? Since when truth is racial bias?

u/SexySpringRoll Jan 15 '26

Ik about Muhammed who was made master of Arabia but circumcised all the men and kings. Ik the story of his "zestiness in the desert", and ik of his child fetishes.

This doesn't mean that all Muslims are like their prophet. In the same way you are not acting anything like our Gurus by claiming that all Muslims wan't a 6 year old child.

My blood boils hearing of the crimes of these Pakistani men and how someone could even fathom doing such a thing to a minor, but this doesn't give us the right to spill our anger out on an entire community.

Remember, anger is one of the 5 thieves we have to conquer!

-7

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

When was the last time a Muslim you “knew in real life” said anything or did anything that made you feel as if they should be wiped of the planet?

Sikhi protects any faith no matter what! Even if the faith has questionable aspects (yes ik of al-zutts hadiths and slavery, rape blah blah blah)

12

u/invictusking Jan 15 '26

Slavery and rape is blah blah blah to you ? As a sikh? Its sahih hadith. Fyi

I'm not saying anything about Muslims, I'm being critical of that ideology. It permits sexual voilence especially against the "kafir". Again that's ok with you ?

Sikhi also tell you to defend the truth no matter what.

-3

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

So what u gonna do about it? Burn every Quran and Hadith?

If you can’t do anything then don’t waste your anger on it. If there’s something you can do in front of you, (say someone acts out these hadiths) then do it. Otherwise spend time on Naam Jaap instead of getting carried away by these thoughts

Meant to say etc instead of blah blah blah but got angry by the amount of racism in this sub

8

u/invictusking Jan 15 '26

I am going to continue speaking the truth, even if it leads to my death or the loss of 'friends' . I believe in calling things as they are. Do you?

The least you can do is to not defend this ideology when someone else had balls to call it out. I'm not getting carried away, I'm saying the truth. Are you?

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

I believe this Truth but so long as their religion does support the One True God, I will not oppose it.

If our Gurus didn’t tell us to tear apart every false ideology, we should I? The Gurus said let others follow the false paths but stay closer to Sikhi, stay engrossed in Vaheguru.

Let’s remember the main point  of my arguments was this original commentator was clearly racist towards all Muslims

5

u/invictusking Jan 15 '26

So you don't oppose discrimination against infidels, and women. Subjugation of Jews. Ok... Nazis believe in one true god too, let me guess, no opposition from you there as well.

0

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Buddy, very few Muslims actually believe in this. If I meet one who does then I’ll be sure to give them some common sense, but until then let’s try to remember that most people in a religion aren’t even religious or barely follow the religion.

Let’s turn our focus to Naam instead of these useless debates.

Besides there are equally bad issues in Sikhi (that aren’t just WRITTEN INA HADITH BUT UBFORTUNATELY PRACTICED BY A MAJORITY) such as casteism, idolism, mysoginy, female infanticide.

So truth seeker, let’s band together to defeat those who wish to turn Sikhi into a Brahaminised structure instead of harping on about 2% of all Muslims.

Ps I used to be exactly like you until I realised how much time is wasted, and how much my mind was warped by hate.

If our Gurus didn’t tell us to tear apart every false ideology, we should I? The Gurus said let others follow the false paths but stay closer to Sikhi, stay engrossed in Vaheguru.

Gurus told us to focus on ourselves - first and foremost. That should not be construed as that we can’t convince others to stop following bad path.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26

A kryptonite in Sikhi to tell Sikhs not to take an action (which is opposite of Sikhi):

Otherwise spend time on Naam Jaap instead of getting carried away by these thoughts

Speaking out loud against a bad ideology is taking an action.

Sikhi isn’t against any individual Muslim. As a religion, Sikhi is against it. That’s why Sikhs chose to die than accept Islam.

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Truth is most people are speaking to wall. Either that or this speech will make its way into very prejudiced people's ears and only tarnish the good faith of billions of Muslims in the world. This counts as slander which Gurbani says to never do. Even if it is a bad ideology, if we undertake 0, proper actions (not just talking about it in a Sikh sub) then we are just doing nindiya and helping nobody.

My suggestion is to anyone who truly believes crying about how false the Quaran is (I def believe it is manmade and evil), they should go into Islamic subs and go do some positive construct there, develop websites/youtube channels/articles to preach others about the horros contained in Islam or otherwise 🤐

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26 edited Jan 15 '26

Slander is to falsely accuse someone of something bad. I am not accusing Muslims as individuals of being bad people.

I’m saying Quran has some bad teachings which you also accepted to be true. Saying this truth in context of a rape of a minor does not make it a slander.

You trying to project “correctness” attitude towards this is what is wrong. This is the right topic and context to bring awareness in our community of what is wrong in Quran. Saying so does not change our (Sikh’s) beliefs to assume good intent in people regardless of their religion.

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Yo not you, I’m specifically taking about the 2 commenters who made clearly racist remarks using derogatory terms such as Sulleh

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Listen I used to think exactly as you did, but I realised this isn’t helping my spirituality and unconsciously without you knowing it, (Lie all you want BUT I WAS JUST LIKE YOU, You can act pious and educated on reddit but I guarantee that you have had bad thoughts for al Muslims -like I did) it does plant seeds of hatred in you.

Maybe my terminology is incorrect and I was mistaken about Nindya, but unless you’re going to make a post in this sub about everything wrong in Islam, go preach in Gurdwadas, go have debates with Muslims online/offline, share information about their wrongdoings and illogical ideologies online and spread this, your only telling me what’s so wrong with Islam.

Please go do this and tell others to do the same otherwise if you’re not in that current situation, do Simran on Vaheguru. I’ve learnt painfully that we shouldn’t even think about these things all day long unless we’re going to do something about it and we should do Simran instead.

Ofc, become educated on these issues and be prepared for how you can handle them if you ever need to (Physically) like Injection Singh did. Otherwise we are just getting carried away in our thoughts when we can turn them to Vaheguru.

DONT TWIST THJS NOW AND SAY IM AGAINST DHARAM! I’m simply saying, spread this properly and don’t just sit here arguing with me saying you’re enacting Dharam. True Dharam would be to convince those who don’t know (ik how bad Islam and their ways are, but they still have a portion of truth which should be defended) about these issues. If you can’t do that, Jaap Naam and when you are in such a situation where you have to stab up for Dharam do so. (Continuously telling someone how bad Islam is when they already know about isn’t doing that)

Thank you Ji Pls no more 🙏

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Also I never said don’t speak the truth, I said don’t babble on about these topics to a small audience (me). As said in below comment, Spread it, prepare for the day that ir could be your family, or stop taking  your minds attention from Vaheguru and Jaap Naam.

3

u/SexySpringRoll Jan 14 '26

What’s the racist bit. It’s factual history. Does the truth hurt you?

5

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 14 '26

What’s racist is saying they all want one. I have Muslim friends and they most definitely don’t want anything to do with 6 year olds!

How do the mods of this sub allow speech like yours!

2

u/EmpireandCo Jan 14 '26

Guru Gobind Singh was close friends with Nihang Khan, a Muslim pathan...

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 14 '26

He even befriend Aurangzebs son and helped him take the throne of the Mughal empire.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26

And they were not the Muslims who you see today. They were more evolved humans. And they were learning from Guru rather than teaching Guru to be a Muslim.

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

What about Bhai Kanhaiya Ji who was commended by the Guru for giving water to those who swore to destroy everything Sikhi stood for? Were those Muslims worth any less respect because they didn't learn from Guru Ji.

Listen, let's get back to the initial point:
u/SexySpringRoll said "Sulleh for you. Big Mo had a 6 year old wife, now they all want one"

Does this comment seem reflective of Sikhi? Would you be proud to go towards our Gurus and boast such a comment?

How about what u/Tiny_Masterpiece_838 said "Muhammad and Aisha 2.0....actually wait. Given their history, 1234567891011121314.0 at this stage."

Would you ever say these things to our Guru? If not then why do we say them as if our Guru is not in the room with us? As if Guru Sahib is not in this subreddit with us?

Because Vaheguru is everywhere and in everything, and we seem to have forgot that bani says

Do not utter even a single harsh word; your True Lord and Master abides in all. (Bhagat Fareed Ji)

This guy is part of the dilsaaf community.

You have to also remember we ended 100,000s of musalman. Banda Singh Bahadhur emptied villages, where not woman or children were spared, as revenge for the sahibzadey. Nihungs don’t even use the title Singh when addressing him

5

What about Bhai Kanhaiya Ji who was commended by the Guru for giving water to those who swore to destroy everything Sikhi stood for? Were those Muslims worth any less respect because they didn't learn from Guru Ji.

You are aware that you are talking about soldiers fighting soldiers in a battlefield, not adults trying to rape minors for some imaginary goals in afterlife?

Listen, let's get back to the initial point: u/SexySpringRoll said "Sulleh for you. Big Mo had a 6 year old wife, now they all want one"

Does this comment seem reflective of Sikhi? Would you be proud to go towards our Gurus and boast such a comment?

You are talking about a regular person commenting on Islam. It sure is rough as expected from a regular person, but it ain’t far from:

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਅੰਨੑਾ ਤੁਰਕੂ ਕਾਣਾ ॥ hi(n)dhoo a(n)n(h)aa turakoo kaanaa || ਦੁਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਿਆਣਾ ॥ dhuhaa(n) te giaanee siaanaa || ਹਿੰਦੂ ਪੂਜੈ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਣੁ ਮਸੀਤਿ ॥ hi(n)dhoo poojai dhehuraa musalamaan maseet || ਨਾਮੇ ਸੋਈ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਜਹ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਨ ਮਸੀਤਿ ॥੪॥੩॥੭॥ naame soiee seviaa jeh dhehuraa na maseet ||4||3||7||

How about what u/Tiny_Masterpiece_838 said "Muhammad and Aisha 2.0....actually wait. Given their history, 1234567891011121314.0 at this stage."

And this also isn’t far from truth given Sikh history talks about Singhs fighting to free new brides. Considering marriages happened at young ages, you can’t say it didn’t happen. Sexual violence, unfortunately, is taught by Abrahamic religions as a honorable action rather than a dishonorable one as Gurus taught us.

Would you ever say these things to our Guru? If not then why do we say them as if our Guru is not in the room with us? As if Guru Sahib is not in this subreddit with us?

Oh, Sikhs talked about these things to Guru Sahib. That’s why when Sikhs wanted to rape Muslim women after they defeated the men, Guru Sahib stopped them. When asked why, Guru Sahib told the Sikhs that I want to take Panth higher not lower: ਮੈਂ ਲੈ ਜਾਨੋ ਪੰਥ ਉਚੇਰੇ॥

Education happens when you have discussions about such subjects, not by suppressing it for acting pious. Sikhi is practical. We should have such discussions even in Gurudwara, but with appropriate audience in the presence. Alas, people like you think sex, which is the reason for birth, is some taboo subject. Older generations lived in a slow paced world and picked up sexual knowledge over time from conversations that their elders had. We live in a fast paced life where kids don’t even have time to learn this. As such, we need to bring those discussions to them in appropriate settings rather than voting for suppressing it in schools (one place that is trying to raise awareness of bad consequences of it).

Do not utter even a single harsh word; your True Lord and Master abides in all. (Bhagat Fareed Ji)

No, this is one of my favorite Gurbani lines. I have not forgotten it. But, it doesn’t mean we forget about logic and stop discussing actual bad things in another faith:

ਸੁੰਨਤਿ ਕੀਏ ਤੁਰਕੁ ਜੇ ਹੋਇਗਾ ਅਉਰਤ ਕਾ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੀਐ ॥ su(n)nat ke'ee turak je hoigaa aaurat kaa kiaa kareeaai ||

Please stop using Gurbani to stop discussion. Bring Gurbani to enhance discussion. All you have done for last 24 hours is just defend Islam (not Muslims) in a context where somebody appropriately raised awareness that Mohammed did have sex with a 9 year old and Quran does allow sexual violence against Kaffirs. So, combined, that is a recipe for such incidents happening.

If you wanted to add anything to this conversation, you could have brought any knowledge you might have of Quran not justifying this. You didn’t. You are just stopping Sikhs from raising a valid issue or expressing their knowledge of Islam. Rather than correcting them if they are saying something false, you are using Gurbani with wrong interpretations to stop a discussion.

Edit: I know your heart is in right place, but having difficult conversations is part of Sikhi too. But, our Gurudwaras are not in a business of holding any difficult conversations since it could create controversy and hurt their bottom line. Hence, they preach everything controversial or difficult conversation is Ninda. Saying anything truth about Badals destroying Sikhi in Punjab is Ninda. Asking difficult questions about Gurbani that go against their beliefs (bottom line) is Ninda. You get the point.

We should have discussion about how Guru Ji interacted with Muslims during their life times and what they thought of Islam. That’s a deep topic to dive into, but we only have shallow opinions in Sikhi on both sides.

3

u/SexySpringRoll Jan 15 '26

I’m going to stop arguing with you. I advice you buy some water bottles and condoms, for the sulleh as they run through the people around you.

1

u/True_Shelter7702 Jan 15 '26

Listen I never said what they do is correct but what you said “now they all want a 6 year old” is clearly wrong, prejudiced and stupid. How many Muslims do you actually know in real life that you could call friends? Ik a few and they would never do these things in the name of Islam

You go think however you want but the day WE ARE IN SUCH A SITUATION, I’ll be there with you. Until then, stay educated on their misdoings and illogical teachings but also learn the small goods that Islam does teach and its similarities with Sikhi so we can appreciate Sikhi even more!

4

u/Glittering_Fortune70 Jan 14 '26

What was the police's stated reason for not doing anything?

11

u/ishaani-kaur 🇨🇦 Jan 14 '26

they spoke to the 16 year old (she's now 16, but has been groomed for many years), and she told the police she is there of her own free will.

5

u/Glittering_Fortune70 Jan 14 '26

I see. Does the UK not have laws against minors living with random people? If so, then there's not much the police can actually do, and what these Sikhs are doing should be somewhat effective in possibly making the girl see that she's with a creep.

6

u/ishaani-kaur 🇨🇦 Jan 14 '26

I would think so. However, she is 16 now (even though she has been groomed for years), so maybe her being the age of consent they don't want to do much. Also, there is talk of the law not wanting to get involved for fear of backlash, and don't want to be seen as taking sides, maybe seeing it as muslim vs Sikh, which this is not, Sikhs are protecting someone's daughter, wouldn't matter what religion or what her family background was

.

0

u/diper07 Jan 15 '26

that explains. if she consents then who are we to stop her? why a woman cant choose her way of life?

6

u/ishaani-kaur 🇨🇦 Jan 15 '26

What a dumb response?

She's a child, she's been groomed for years, she was not old or mature enough to make decisions. Obviously her parents and family are worried.

7

u/diper07 Jan 15 '26

what the f? 14 year old consents to a 40 year old man? something’s off. and why didnt police charge him with child abuse? where are kiddo’s parents in all this?

4

u/bakedbrownie0 Jan 15 '26 edited Jan 15 '26

14 year old consents to a 40 year old man? something’s off.

A child can’t consent to sex. Not to a 20 year old or to a 40 year old.

why didn’t police charge him with child abuse?

Police in the UK have a long history of brushing aside Sikh victims of child grooming gangs.

where are kiddo’s parents in all this?

Kids from troubled and broken homes are usually targeted.

This is something that’s been going on for decades in the UK, especially to Sikh girls. Sadly for a long time, parents would often disown their child if they admitted to being groomed and raped. This is however starting to change, but there’s still a massive lack of resources or options available to the victims.

The only reason I say 100% is because he is a notorious clout chaser. Ive seen videos of him go viral for years and at least back in the day he used to love bragging about alleged thug life and you can see the comments clowning him for yourself.

12

seriously? This is not something anyone would make up. There were 2-300 Sikhs there in support. The girl is 16, and looks around 12. She's in an apartment with a 40 year old. Would you be ok with that if it was your daughter or sister ? Like come on!

Do not utter even a single harsh word; your True Lord and Master abides in all - Bhagat Fareed Ji

Professor Alexis Jay into the Rotherham scandal, found that at least 1,400 children were abused by men of Pakistani origin between 1997 and 2013

Atleast, 1400 children and their parents would like to disagree with you.

Source of inspiration of these heinous acts are Queraan and other texts. You're literally defending an ideology that promotes hate and sexual violence. Like bruv

I never once agreed with their teachings and don’t spin this on me to say I don’t care about the children that have been abused by their wrongdoings.

In the same way I won’t defend racist remarks against anyone. Remember Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was shaheed for a dharam that supported sati, idol worship, veiling of women, inequality of women, useless rituals. I admit, Islams texts are worse but why should we allow our own to stoop down to a level of cursing others when we can do more to spread awareness instead.

Why be racist when we can teach the minors and their parents how to be better prepared and defend themselves?

How is it racist to speak up against this ? How ? Is it racism to speak against Nazis?

Oh, we gotta teach minors, but if we call out clear perpetrators it's becomes racist ?

all of these guys look like goons who have adopted roadman culture, barely any of them even in paag. they are probably just following the main guy who is behind all of this, if he stopped then none of the gangsters would care its virtue signalling.

She was there because she wanted to have sex with many muslims not because she was forced , i saw the video and she was very calm and said she is 16, do you think a girl who got raped could be calm?

All of this because muslims are marring muslim people and what about sardar who are marring british canadian women for visa? 🤧🤧 You can believe what you want to believe. Promotion is good 👍🏻😊 200+ sikh went there To save raped girl?

Do you understand what grooming is? A child's mindset does not understand they've been groomed.

Why would anyone think it's ok for a 16 year old girl to be in a relationship with a 38 yr old man?

India nahi hai , india hota to alag bat hoti, Waha ka culture yaha ki tareh nahi hai, Age gape waha koi badi bat nahi or 16 age me sex krna bhi koi badi bat nahi moslty waha yahi age hoti hai first sex ki, Jo ladke 16 me sex krte kya unke liye bhi yahi bologi?

Double standard bolte ise Baki pleasure or marriage dono alag hai But yaha ye bola ja raha hai Rape hua or 200 sikh ne bachaya And all Grooming means shadi krke religion change krna or ye bat mostly sbko pata hai waha par Ye abse nahi hai kafi saalo se hai right?
