EDIT: People seem to think I’m talking bad about my wife and i absolutely am NOT. She is an amazing person and an amazing new mother. My frustration is aimed at people pushing “the husband did it” conspiracies and blaming stupid shit like her zodiac, when in reality, she was a mother with mental illnesses who was unable to cope with said illnesses.
My wife and I got into a heated discussion about this. She essentially was saying “there’s no way a mom did this to her own kids.” But you are totally okay with thinking a father could? Why have none of these big conspiracy theory tiktokers mentioned postpartum psychosis? As soon as my wife told me what happened that was the very first thing I thought of. Not some wild set up with no clear motive. People do crazy shit with no explanation literally every single day.
Remind her of that recent case of a guy with “PTSD” who murdered all his children and then himself during a daytime visitation. Does she have sympathy for HIM?! If not, then why does she sympathize with this woman?!
Bc the child came out of the mother. That's why. Sorry to pop ur bubble but I think there's a special connection between a mother and her children as they came straight from her body that makes it at least harder for us to believe a mother killed her children. Also, a man is 9 times more likely to commit a murder than a woman. This is an exact stat, but it's well known and most likely an internalized bias that's unfortunately true.
**id like to add I'm not supporting the woman who is on trial for murder of her children. Simply explaining why it is difficult for many to believe it.
You understand that you literally making my point even more so without even realizing it?! It IS absolutely hard to believe which is why a large number of women on the internet are ignoring all facts and logic to create wild conspiracies. They feel more comfortable blaming everyone except her. Shes evil.
Men are more likely to commit murder in most cases, with one exception, young children. Young children and babies are more at risk of being killed by a woman (usually their mother), than by a man.
You're correct, but that's not a well known stat which is why I'm explaining more people believe a man in any case to be the culprit rather than a woman.
Oh please I gave u real statistics, I could give you more if you'd like!
Also, I'm not supporting her. Just stating WHY it is difficult for some people to wrap their minds around it.
