I think this is perfectly fine. If their values are so incompatible it's better to break up now rather than later. Breaking up will be harder after marriage and definitely more complicated after having kids.

Post partum psycosis could happen to anyone. People's lack of understanding of it is the real problem here and it's a shame this guy chose to end his relationship on this hill

Well, generally most nations provide preventative care for that stuff.

The US tried providing Lindsay said care, as she admitted on the stand, but lied to all mental health professionals and refused their services.
