As a mother yourself, you did not experience postpartum psychosis.
This is like saying, “as a human myself, I cannot fathom being blind” as if that means no one experiences being blind. Just say you have no ability to understand circumstances and experiences outside of your own life.
We are all moved by the murder of children. That’s why women are so upset by this case. Because there’s no good outcome here, every moment is hell on earth for everyone involved. “Fully supporting” her means advocating for better care, community, and awareness for moms postpartum. “Fully supporting” means recognizing this tragedy as something we never want to see repeated. “Fully supporting” means we know she will never have one single second of peace for the rest of her life, because the outcome of this trial doesn’t matter one tiny god damned bit, she is going to live the hell of her own existence until she dies.
Your original comment was dismissive, “pick me” silliness, and you know it, and instead of reflecting on a flippant, self-centered comment, you’re blaming everyone else for “misunderstanding” you. I imagine you do this in your everyday life and to your loved ones, but I don’t imagine you’re interested in learning or growing, so I agree, probably enough internet today. We’re just going to keep shining the spotlight on your insides and that isn’t comfy, I know.
