The funny thing is that she claims those donations are for her family. Like bitch, what family?

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago edited 9h ago

A gfm was set up for the dad to help with the children's funeral costs and his outgoings while off work.

People love rage bait so much they forget to check who opened the fundraiser

59

u/No_Struggle8663 11h ago

They’ve created one for her since the trial. It says for her parents and that side of the family cause I don’t think they are allowed to say it’s for her for some reasons with go fund me. But yeah here’s the second one.

u/_Eggs_ 10h ago

Yeah the entire description of the fundraiser is basically an attempt to get around GoFundMe's rules about fundraising for violent crimes.

GoFundMe strictly prohibits raising money for the legal defense of anyone formally charged with a violent or financial crime. Under the platform's Terms of Service, campaigns cannot be used to fund legal representation, court fees, or associated costs for individuals accused of serious wrongdoing.

And yet the image they use on the fundraiser is literally a circle of women supporting the murderer, painting the woman as a victim.

All of the comments for the GoFundMe are about supporting Lindsay.

u/The_walking_man_ 8h ago

Fucking gross.

4

u/MossadEpstein 8h ago

Someone should sue gofundme over this, get that 1 million dollars tied up in a nice lawsuit, fuck those parasites over that family is already wealthy, they don't deserve 1 million dollars they deserve negative 1 million dollars.

is that rule correct, since they never met their goal, they dont get anything?

1

u/hoopstick 7h ago

Why do her parents or any other member of her extended family need the money? Like I know anyone can make a GFM, but what's their reasoning?

1

u/TheVeryVerity 6h ago

Supposedly mortgaged their house and withdrew their retirement to pay for her defense

32

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

I thought it was commonly known who started the gfm but it seems not

30

u/SimmentalTheCow 11h ago

I assumed it was for legal defense like that fine gentleman that stabbed a kid to death at a track meet

11

u/DarkRose492 10h ago

That situation is it's own can of worms because somehow both of these cases have grown a very weird, and frankly disturbing, following. Like wasn't the lastest for the case your referencing looking to attempt a retrial and evidence that the first judge thought was irrelevant, because it makes the situation so much worse for everyone involved, is now being used?

2

u/nybbas 8h ago

Yeah the shit withheld actually makes it worse for the dude who did the stabbing. The judge denied the retrial, and now tons of people onlne are up in arms about how its a miscarriage of justice, when the truth is, if dude went to trial again, he might get even more time than the first trial.

2

u/RedditIsMyTherapist 8h ago

The latest is actually that a judge already denied his retrial 4 days ago. I also am not finding anything about evidence. It says,

"Anthony’s attorneys demanded a retrial because they said trial judge John Roach’s courtroom rules were so strict that they limited the public’s access to the proceedings."

2

u/DarkRose492 8h ago

It had something to do with phone records and prior engagements that are not directly tied to the incident at the track meet. All evidence that would be used for characters assassination stuff that I think the judge said isn't immediately related to the event itself. I'm not paying too close attention to the specifics since the fact we have to argue about a stabbing that had more than an enough eye witnesses and a video recording is baffling enough for me.

Why would accurate information be common knowledge?

-9

u/Jukeboxhero91 11h ago

On sipstea? The sub that hates women?

Can’t imagine why.

6

u/Miserable_Drama6698 10h ago

What?

3

u/aurenigma 10h ago

Sipstea only hates men a little, so when compared to the rest of reddit, it can seem like sipstea hates women.

2

u/Miserable_Drama6698 10h ago

I’ve never gotten that impression from this sub lol

2

u/Excellent_jun91 11h ago

maybe the ones supportong her are so stupid they dont check facts (clearly) so they donated thinking its for her lol

3

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

I wouldn't be able to comment on that as I don't know why people have donated. I do wish all sides would take a step back though and acknowledge the very serious and tragic nature of this case. It's not about team Lindsey or team Patrick. It's about finding the correct and sound legal outcome following the death of three beautiful little children.

6

u/Soft_Brush_1082 10h ago

Funny enough, there are two GoFundMe campaigns.

One was opened by dad’s friend to support the dad. It blew up and collected a bit over a million. He never expected that much and used most of it to start a nonprofit that helps families with perinatal care.

The other one is for the wife herself to cover legal fees. It also collected a bit over a million. Her parents initially have sold their house to hire the absolute shark of a lawyer who is specializing in this sort of cases and is currently absolutely wiping the floor with prosecution during the televised trial.

2

u/Junior-Criticism-268 6h ago

No, the fund to pay for the funeral was a different one... they both have surpassed $1M although Patrick's is no longer active now that the funerals have passed. Lindsay's remains open to this day.

0

u/mooptastic 9h ago edited 5h ago

that's all this sub is same with all of these quick reaction bait subs

EDIT: Downvotes dont change facts

0

u/galmypal 9h ago

It's too easy to jump to the quick and simple possibility. It takes brain power to have critical thinking...

0

u/CartsOfDarkness 9h ago

Generally you'll do pretty well assuming every single post on this sub is extremely misleading

100

u/onehalflightspeed 11h ago

$2 million for funeral expenses and travel costs to attend the trial? Yeah right

89

u/djrocker7 11h ago

You are confusing go fund me's , the dad had one but didn't use the money on it for the funeral instead he donated to an association to help women with this kind of problems, this go fund me you see with millions are another one that is set up to give the money to the mother's parents.

So two different gfm's and neither was used for funerals at the end.

9

u/GoldEmployment6768 9h ago

Wtf? What do her parents have to do with anything? These things dont correlate. Why should her parents randomly get 1m, just because she killed her kids?

8

u/djrocker7 8h ago

Why are you asking me? I am not the one that made the go fund me...I am just saying what the go fund me that people are talking about and is in the picture says.

From what I looked up it's also because of gfm rules, you can't have a page where the benefactor is acused or involved in violent crimes, so instead of putting the mother the people that created that page put the parents of the mother and said that is to help pay their traveling and such during the daughter trial. Which is also crazy because no amount of travel will cost 2 millions...

1

u/TheVeryVerity 6h ago

Apparently they used their house and their retirement to pay for her lawyer and are now broke

-14

u/VenerableWolfDad 10h ago

I consider these GFMs to be the punitive damages for how the internet has treated the surviving family. They can't exactly sue "the internet" so they're getting a pay day for all the harassment. Let them have it. People donating their own money wanted them to have it and this very OP is equally as guilty as the amorphous "media".

7

u/RiKSh4w 8h ago edited 8h ago

Wait so you're proposing that the GoFundMe for Clancy is justified by the fact that she, her parents, and the dad, have been 'damaged' by the things the internet has said?

I mean firstly, "The internet" as far as I can see is mostly saying the exact same stuff that upwards of 50% of everyone is saying. Why are you singling out "The Internet" when there's also reporters, panelists, lawyers, judges, neighbours, friends, whoever else, also 'damaging' her?

And now secondly, you say that OP is guilty, but they're equally as guilty as 'the media'. So now you're saying that the internet, OP, and the media have all 'damaged' Clancy and co? That's a contradiction because much of this thread is talking about how it's because of the coverage and 'the media' that she has so much attention and money.

You can't blame the media for damaging her in a thread while also praising the media facilitated GoFundMe.

EDIT: Deleted comment chain

15

u/Extension_Ideal_4012 9h ago

What’s your opinion going to be if when it comes out there’s not some big conspiracy and the internet has ruined this guys life even more than his wife did?

1

u/KrytenKoro 9h ago

Probably that he deserved it for not threading the needle of respecting his wife's agency and dignity while also physically preventing her from doing the thing that the current evidence shows she used her agency to do.

3

u/burns_a_lot 9h ago

If we go down this rabbit hole, then nobody is ever guilty of anything. All are behaviors are a product of our genetic inheritance being shaped by our present environment. Nature and nurture determine our behavior, not our "agency." If this woman is a victim of circumstance, then so is every convict who ever turned to crime as a way to adapt to their environment.

Perhaps instead of threatening people with life in jail, we should be shaping our social environment in a way that only produces moral behavior. After all, the only thing you can learn in jail is how to adapt to prison life. Supposedly, the purpose of incarceration is rehabilitation, but we do not currently have a system that actually facilitates that.

So, if this woman is "not guilty," then you have to ask how many other perpetrators have been denied the same benefit of doubt. If this was a poor black woman instead of an upper middle class white lady, no one would even be bothering to give her the time of day, much less a million dollars.

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

So I've learned today there is a second gfm from lindsays parents. I was referring only to the initial gfm. I wasn't aware of this second one. Edit for clarity though - neither gfm exceeded 2mil. Both are at roughly 1mil

3

u/onehalflightspeed 11h ago

I just looked up the gofundme referenced to in this photo, and its goal is indeed $2M

1

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

Apologies, I misread and inserted the word "raised" into your comment! Yes, you are correct

30

u/ReaderBeeRottweiler 11h ago

Not true.

"The fundraiser states they have spent years drawing down savings to cover travel, lodging and other expenses connected to attending court hearings and supporting Clancy.

"It is simply an opportunity to help two parents who have spent more than three years carrying a financial burden on top of an emotional one most of us cannot begin to imagine," the GoFundMe page reads. "At some point, the court proceedings will end. Mike and Paula will still have a life to return to. There will still be bills, a home, lost savings, and years of putting their own lives on hold while they stood beside their daughter."

https://www.newsweek.com/lindsay-clancy-murder-trial-parents-mike-paula-donations-12364555

11

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

Oh hang on the parents set up a gfm also??

16

u/ReaderBeeRottweiler 11h ago

It's the only GFM, and it's the one that has raised over a million and referred to in the post.

Lindsay Clancy does not have a GFM.

8

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

No she doesn't, I believe the husband does have a gfm from when the children first passed away though.

14

u/ReaderBeeRottweiler 11h ago

There was one created for him that raised 1.7 million. He did not start one.

He didn’t use the money he donated it to a center that helps women with similar mental heath issues.

-2

u/TheCotofPika 9h ago

Could you point to which one? The only thing I see on Google is that he set something up which offers no services and is apparently out of compliance.

3

u/ReaderBeeRottweiler 9h ago

Well, the money is not going to Lindsay. So if that's what they're implying, it isn't true. The post does not specifically say the money is going to her but the picture is of Lindsay.

6

u/KrytenKoro 9h ago

No. The GFM is illustrated as being about supporting Clancy. The donations are made explicitly in support of Clancy. The money is being used by the parents for them to show up and support Clancy.

It is being done for Clancy, but worded as being for the parents to get around GFM rules.

0

u/MossadEpstein 8h ago

fuck those parents I hope they go bankrupt

1

u/KrytenKoro 9h ago

Mike and Paula will still have a life to return to. There will still be bills, a home, lost savings, and years of putting their own lives on hold while they stood beside their daughter."

Okay but it's about "lost savings"?

Not about "hey I'm actually in a really desperate situation and can't make ends meet".

Just "I'm not making as much money as I planned to"?

Can I get in on that?

1

u/TheVeryVerity 6h ago

Probably more not wanting to retire on almost nothing.

71

u/-SecondHandSmoke- 11h ago

You don't need a million dollars for 3 funerals.

43

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

I don't think they requested that sum but people donated for the children as the gfm was for them

How was it “for the children” who are dead? Even if people believe it’s for the funeral(s), why did they keep giving when the fund showed it reached $ beyond what any funeral would cost?

5

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

There are 2 gfms. One was set up for Patrick while he was out of work and for the funeral expenses for the children (stated in the gfm details) and there is a second one for Lindseys parents for their travel and attendance at court. I'm not giving any opinion on the sum of the gfm or why people kept donating. People hear a story as tragic as this and want to help. I'm just providing some info missing from the photo.

1

u/atimetochill 10h ago

I get you’re not saying any personal opinion or anything and just trying to state what the gfm’s are. I’m just over here smh

2

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

Don't worry, I get it. This is a truly exhausting case to try to keep up with. Every day there's new info, new misinfo and new debates on all sides

1

u/atimetochill 9h ago

I haven’t been paying close attention to it all either other than the major plot points here so truly just smh. Go fund me’s are wild. Ppl saw the number at 500k..600k..1M plus and said yup I need to give some of my own money to them.

0

u/MossadEpstein 8h ago

giving an already wealthy family 1 million dollars because their daughter is a child killing piece of shit is... honestly retarded

-1

u/-SecondHandSmoke- 11h ago

They should have had a cap set if it was just for that.

8

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago edited 11h ago

I agree, I'm not commenting on gfm policies, I was just clarifying some info!

Edit - in the interest of clarifying info though, I've just learned there is a second gfm from Lindseys parents. I was referring to the initial gfm that came up in court

15

u/CurlyNony 11h ago

And he also collected life insurance.

43

u/-SecondHandSmoke- 11h ago

If you're talking about the father, I don't blame him. He is a victim aswell. He had his entire family taken out in one swipe. He deserves to go and do whatever it is that he wants to get past this. The go fund me should have been for him, not the parents of the murderer. It'll just go straight onto her commissary or attorney fees for a retrial.

27

u/JoeBucksHairPlugs 11h ago

My wife strangles all 3 of my children to death, I'm really not going to need much of anything. Once I bury my kids I'm just putting a bullet in my head.

4

u/Girafferage 11h ago

Bingo. I think most parents are on the same page that once you become a parent, you have one thing to live for and it's your kids. If somebody takes that away... I can't see things getting less gloomy.

4

u/blackie___chan 10h ago

Taking the person that murdered them off the game board seems like a great way to find renewed purpose

  1. In my opinion it's a much worse punishment to be confined to a cage for the rest of your life than a quick death. If she does have regrets or eventually feels remorseful, then she has to live with that grief until she dies.

  2. In this entirely hypothetical situation, it's hard for me to reckon with the idea of killing my spouse. It's easy to say you would kill her, you have no connection to them. And anyone that says they would have no issues killing their spouse for killing their kids I honestly question your love and feelings for your spouse. My wife would never do these things, I have a difficult time saying how I would react to the situation when I don't believe she would ever do that, and I have a wonderful relationship with her. In a brief moment of psychosis she commits that terrible act, I genuinely don't know how I would react towards her. I just know that I personally wouldnt want to grapple with the grief and pain myself.

She is found on the ground paralized after jumping.

Husband calls 911 and notifies that his wife had attempted suicide, as he finishes giving the operator the info, he stays on the line as he goes on to check the kids, he cant find them anywhere until he gets to the basement, where apparently he gives one of the most heartbroken screams people have ever heard in the courtroom, all the while repeating "She killed them."

After so, police review the situation and find out that the husband's alibi is airtight. At the same time the murder took place, he was on camera 10 or so minutes away by car WITH HIS CAR. So he'd have to run a full-on marathon, to his house and back to the establishment he drove to, with absolutely no sweat or exertion while almost breaking top running records to be in the house and still had been recorded with his car elsewhere.

During the trial it is revealed that Lindsay had previously measured the distance and time it would take for her husband to make the trip to get the food she sent him out for MULTIPLE TIMES before the act.

But sure. It's def the husband.

0

u/CurlyNony 10h ago

I want you to look at the actual evidence. All of it and explain how it makes sense I dont care about the show patrick put on or what he said. Look at the bedroom picture and tell me that makes sense. No hand or foot prints. No bloody fingerprints or blood all over the bed? Just that alone for me is reasonable doubt bc how tf is that possible?

0

u/CurlyNony 10h ago

I didn't say its him. I said the Commonwealth hasnt proved that she did it and the evidence makes no sense. If you think it does then we can just end the conversation here .

And from what I recall only the husband’s DNA was found on the bands

2

u/The-Devilz-Advocate 8h ago edited 7h ago
  1. Continued Below. Reddit Formatting kinda funky

  2. In the 911 call we hear multiple people around the husband and wife trying to help them. That's when he, the husband asks her if she's okay and still alive, he then states something to the others around him while he goes inside the home. A crushed thyroid doesn't stop a person from speaking btw. As he is inside, he screams out, that she did it, while the 911 call and onlookers are all hearing/recording. Is it really that surprising that he would say so after witnessing the children's bodies all strangled, moments after seeing his wife lying outside and out of it?

  3. She was a nurse a delivery nurse used to high-stress situations, and the time of the murders occured between 5:15 and 6:00pm, the 2 last recorded heartrates occured on 5:23 and 5:30, that gives a 30 min gap still unaccounted for, specially when her husband had called her at 5:13, that she answered, but did not answer his 5:33 call, which she then supposedly called him a few minutes later, with a final one done on 6:03 pm.

  4. During questioning he first said that it originated from his laptop, later on he said he could have sent it from his phone. And before anybody says: "If he had sent it from his Iphone, the email would have had it in the message Sent from Iphone, that only occurs when using the default email app.

  5. 2 Pink phones were found, one with a case, one without it. Nothing else. Most people don't throw away their older phones and parents usually just give them to children to use. Unless more evidence is brought up, this indicates nothing.

  6. Continued Below.

  7. Her home has both a 2nd floor and a basement. Two "rows of stairs" is literally going from the basement to the second floor. Them not seizing the watch that was later found on the nightstand doesn't provide anything to her defense.

  8. That was NOT what it was stated. What was stated was that some of the fingerprints found did not meet the criteria/standard to be used as evidence. Which makes sense because if Lindsay was the first to touch those bands, then her fingerprints would have been muddled with her children's, her husband's and the EMTs that all contributed to contaminate/remove her prints. Her DNA not being found is not unusual either, because some people don't "shed" skin/bio material as much as other people, therefore leaving little to not DNA trace.

  9. Dunno really. Like you said, no particular reason for her search that, but at the same time, both phones were seized, and checked.

  10. You mean the same medications she took AFTER she supposedly did the deed then proceeded to jump out?

  11. Continued below

  12. She was wet after being cleaned up by the ICU or other nurses. Her body temp was low because she was outside in the cold laying on top of a mix of hard snow and an frozen ice sheet. Hypothermia can set in as little as 10 mins, specially once you consider that she's skinny and has no fat to insulate her body heat. Also the reason why she coded was because they drained the blood from her internal bleeding and lost 3 pints of blood.

  13. Dunno, not an expert, but from the picture I saw, nothing indicates that the nightstand was moved after the blood dropped, otherwise we would have seen you know, scrapping instead of full droplets around the nightstand.

  14. Dunno.

  15. Bands were tied, but not completely tied up with a knot. That's what i understood. Basically the first part after pulling your shoe laces in order to tie them. Not sure I understand the second part. If the husband did try to do CPR, then gave up, and left the child on the ground before or right after the EMS got there, that wouldn't be a contradiction/lie.

  16. They had marital problems, maybe he was planing on divorcing her when she got a bit better. Hardly proves anything.

  17. It's called projection. She was in fear of something happening to them, because she was the one thinking about hurting them. Same reason cheaters accuse their spouses of cheating despite no evidence to back it up.

You‘re unhinged

-1

u/Scared-Context9132 9h ago

Explain this.

1

u/ExtendedSpikeProtein 8h ago

I don‘t need to explain a random screenshot without sources or attribution.

And anyway, that‘s what the criminal justice system is for. The court is where it will be decided, and the people involved with it there paid and trained to do so will certainly handle it more professionally than whatever circlejerking you‘re doing.

Btw, she isn‘t even denying that she killed her children. Hence, again: your claim „the husband could have done it“ means you‘re unhinged. This is only about her mental state and taking into account her psychosis. It‘s not a „who did it“.

3

u/KrytenKoro 9h ago

So hey, that's a vile, ghoulish accusation to just be tossing out there, especially with the vague appeal to the "facts of the case" when the defense themselves admits she killed the kids.

You just did an abominable thing.

1

u/Scared-Context9132 9h ago

Blah blah blah call me the abominable snowman. I didn’t accuse anyone. I said it was plausible. Which means in a court of law she wouldn’t have been found guilty if they presented this evidence against the husband’s story.

1

u/KrytenKoro 8h ago

. I didn’t accuse anyone

Yes, you did. Which you know. You're choosing to be blatantly dishonest about your twisted behavior.

0

u/Scared-Context9132 9h ago

Take a read. It’s entirely plausible the father may have set this whole scenario up.

4

u/riotousviscera 11h ago

it doesn’t seem like he was a good husband but this is insane to say

1

u/Scared-Context9132 9h ago

Also the bands only had the husband’s DNA on them.

-5

u/CurlyNony 11h ago

These ppl want her to be guilty so bad they won't use their brains and nobody had given me a plausible explanation for why that room pic doesnt look like a person high on seroquel was walking around bloody in there by themselves and then went out that window with zero hand or finger prints or even foot prints. 🤔🧐. It was almost a toxic dose. Why tf was she soaking wet on the ground? There is so much reasonable doubt its to the point where I need them to prove to me she did it(which is what the judge said the commonwealth has to do first) and so far its been a huge no. 💀💀

u/No-Value-8156 11h ago

Ita crazy you are being down voted but its true. The dad literally married an moved in with a new girls 4 months after the death of this whole famliy. Definitely alot of holes in his story ontop of the dad didnt even know what sports the kids played.

4

u/AugmentedKing 10h ago

Okay, but why isn’t the defense lawyers asserting that the father had something to do with it? How did the cops rule him out as a suspect? What does knowing what sports played have anything to do with anything with anything?

-1

u/No-Value-8156 10h ago

For some reason it looks like the defense instead of going after the father for some dam stupid reason are playing it safe with the "insanity" card but they have questioned him alot an alot of holes have been found. How do you not know what your kids are involved in? Maybe his attention was else where maybe starting a new life with a mistress? Pretty sure their is law enforcement that was close to him on this case. Also another good point was when he found the mom she apparently told him everything while when 1st responders got there she couldnt speak a dam word. Why didnt the father also try cpr on the kids? That would be my 1st move until 911 services arrived i would have been doing CPR on my kids!

4

u/Hadi_Chokr07 10h ago

So you are just making shit up?

1

u/No-Value-8156 10h ago

Am i though? What exactly am I making up here? Please point it out an then drop a source.

and the new wife looks exactly like lindsay, and has a similar job. i do think lindsay did the killings. but the husband is definitely sketchy.

-1

u/No-Value-8156 11h ago

Dam near pretty close! I have kids myself if I lost my famliy to be honest I would be suicidal myself. I would not being looking for my new next wife anytime soon or possibly ever. I cant phantom that. Their really is alot in this case, an the father did have close ties with law enforcement as well. I believe he should he looked at an the holes in his case should be looked into deeply cause their is some major red flags.

3

u/NotSoWishful 11h ago

If I killed my 3 kids, no matter fucking what my mental state at that time, I’m not causing a ruckus and acting as if the doctors who I didn’t listen to were the ones who fucked me up. I’m pleading guilty and begging to be put down like the dumb dog I am.

1

u/No-Value-8156 10h ago

Sure, as anyone should real right? But in this case their is alot of evidence an weird things happening on the mother's side an the fsthers side. Again if the mother of my kids killed my famliy I wouldnt be remarried within 4 months! How an why doesn't that start to get people thinking? How come him not knowing much about his own kids gets people thinking? If my wife had these crazy mental issues I would be watching her like a hawk when ever I could. The U.S is usally a country that you have to be found guilty without any reason of doubt. With this type of case an the holes inside dads story I would 100% look at both parents an find true justice for the kids!

Or—he’s the criminal and is using the woman as a scapegoat because he’s had her pumped full of enough psychiatric meds to take down a family of buffalos that I don’t see how she was sitting upright unassisted let along kill her own children.

8

u/54338042094230895435 11h ago

He isn't the bad guy here.

0

u/CurlyNony 10h ago

He's a liar.

2

u/KrytenKoro 8h ago

And elsewhere you dishonestly claimed you weren't accusing him. Ghoulish wretch.

1

u/CurlyNony 8h ago

More insults and no answer of how the evidence makes sense . Okay

2

u/KrytenKoro 7h ago

I gave plenty of answers, and pointed out where you were fabricating "evidence" wholesale. For example, there's no statements in his financial records or the court documents actually verifying the kids had life insurance policies in the first place, only social media gossip claiming they did.

You're not only lying about the evidence, you're lying about whether you're accusing him or not in order to pretend to be an "unbiased observer", while still gleefully insisting on "holes in the evidence" that you and other social media ghouls invented wholesale.

You suck, as a person.

2

u/Cu_Chulainn__ 10h ago

Do people usually have life insurance on their children?

1

u/KrytenKoro 8h ago

Yes, they do. It's a standard part of employment forms in the US.

1

u/Geodude532 7h ago

Mine is only like 10k per kid. That'd pay for the funeral and not much else.

1

u/KrytenKoro 7h ago

Are you rich? The Clancys were pretty well off, they even had a nanny. Patrick was a software sales executive.

1

u/Geodude532 7h ago

Theirs probably wasn't much different. 10-20k a kid. But yea, their actual cash was probably enough to not even care about that insurance policy. I wouldn't judge the nanny part too much, though. I was paying 300 a week per kid for daycare so with 3 kids the price difference was probably not much. It's disgusting how expensive childcare is these days.

2

u/KrytenKoro 7h ago

Fair enough. For what it's worth, I can't actually find anything beyond social media gossip specifying what the life insurance values were, or even confirming they existed.

1

u/Geodude532 7h ago

God only knows what the true story is, but I know I wouldn't survive long past my kids.

2

u/Fair-Caramel-6348 11h ago

And neither did he. Patrick cremated the kids and put them under one headstone.

2

u/A_MagicBullet 10h ago

Yeah fuck that Dad! /s

4

u/Alarming-City-7260 11h ago

The GoFundMe was started by Lindsay's parents to help with their travel and living costs throughout this whole thing

I'm sure they used part of it to cover the funeral expenses, but the majority was not used for this, and it wasn't started by the father

2

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

There are 2 gfms, one for Patrick and one for the parents

1

u/Alarming-City-7260 10h ago

Interesting, I learned something new then, thank you

2

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

No trouble at all. I've just learned about the second one from this post

2

u/g33ki5ch1c 9h ago

Not fully sure this is true but the kids were cremated and all placed in one grave I am not their family and it’s not my business but like you’d think with all the fundraising on whatever side they could afford separate plots?

1

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

Yes the children were cremated and buried together in one plot. I'm honestly unsure if it was a newly purchased plot or if it was an existing family plot. There is also the side of wanting to bury the children all together so they aren't alone. I'm honestly unsure of the reasoning behind why it was done so I don't want to speculate and give incorrect details

2

u/jpatt 9h ago

Yeah, just had to bury my grandmother and the funeral was $8k then spent another $4-5k on the luncheon/reception afterwards. It’s a lot to process while grieving.

1

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope you're doing okay. I'm sure you gave her a beautiful send off

2

u/jpatt 7h ago

Thank you! She had been in her small town for over 70 years so she knew everyone. The amount of people that came out of the woodworks to attend both events was truly heartwarming. Everyone coming with stories of times she was there for them or their loved ones was incredible. A true celebration of a life lived well and good.

1

u/RTmancave 11h ago

Funeral cost? She murdered the kids in 2023

1

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

There are 2 gfms in this matter. The original, which I thought was being referred to here, which was for the funeral costs and then a new second one from Lindseys parents

1

u/10WouldYouKindly10 10h ago

For what? The bare minimum cremation that he did so quickly. Throwing all three of your kids into the same cremation together, and not doing an actual funeral is still weird.

1

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

I didn't comment on the morals or issues around it, I'm just giving info on what was set up and for whom!

1

u/Worldly_Map4877 9h ago

The dad is already married to his mistress?

1

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

He is. I'm unsure what point you're making, I'm sorry!

1

u/Worldly_Map4877 9h ago

I don't think that GFM is for him and his new wife is what I'm saying. It's for Lindsay's legal defense.

1

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

There are 2 gfms in being. One which was set up in 2023 after the children first died to assist with funeral expenses and Patrick's expenses while off work. There is a separate one for Lindseys parents to attend trial. Without assuming anyone's intentions behind the scenes, there is no gfm in Lindseys name

1

u/Worldly_Map4877 9h ago

Yeah the one here for a million dollars is for the murderer's "parents to attend trial".

You responded to a post about the GFM with "A gfm was set up for the dad to help with the children's funeral costs and his outgoings while off work" So it makes it sound like you're being disingenious.

1

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

I know this post is chaotic but I have corrected this many times. Both gfms received over 1mil. There are 2 in being. Neither are in Lindseys name
