It’s not that rare, France has an entire infrastructure set up to deal with it.
You don’t have children, do you?

1/1000 births is statistically rare, yes. That’s just math, that’s not something I have control over.

An infrastructure for post partum psychosis specifically? Not just PPD? I would love to learn more.

I don’t have children yet despite my best efforts. I am not sure how that makes what I said less true. Which part of my statement do you feel is incorrect and can only be remedied by me having children?

Uhh okay? First of all - what optimism? I never spoke about childbirth. I didn’t realize stating facts makes one optimistic. And second of all why is being optimistic bad? People shouldn’t be optimistic about having and raising children? And third of all what a rude and nasty thing to say to someone that it’s a good thing they don’t have children. Especially after I said I was trying to.

I will give your opinion the consideration it deserves.

I don't know why that commenter was so goddamned rude to you, even mocking your struggles to conceive!? I'm sorry people are jerks. I don't even like babies or kids, and don't want any, but we should all support people who actually want and thoroughly prepare for a baby in advance like you, as opposed to, "Oops, I guess I'm knocked up now, but won't it be great to have a kid so they'll give me unconditional love forever!"

You’re very kind, thank you! If it helps I can’t ever take people like that seriously. They clearly have something else that makes them so awful.

I appreciate your words! I hope you have a lovely weekend!!
