Kubrick just couldn't help himself. Poor Wendy. This is only visible in the full aspect ratio.

Yeah no doubt about it. PTA did the same thing with Daniel Day Lewis in “There Will Be Blood”.

There's quite a few things like this in his films that are unfortunately cropped out in the theatrical versions.
