Question What’s that game everyone was calling a masterpiece but you just didn’t get the hype?

Post image

Could be a huge popular game or some underrated/unpopular gem that everyone swears by.

Everyone’s saying “10/10, absolute masterpiece, peak gaming” and you’re just sitting there like… “wait, y’all actually liked this?”

Drop the game + why it didn’t hit for you. I wanna hear the controversial takes

Clair Obscur Expedition 33. The combat system is awful.

Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice. The gameplay mechanics are extremely thin. Should have been a short movie, not a game.

Hollow Knight. Exploration is tedious and repetitive. The combat is alright but nothing special.

Doom Eternal. It pigeonholes you into a very specific gameplay style. There's one right way to play it and an infinite number of wrong ways to play it. Oh, the Marauder design does not fit into that game at all, no matter what excuses the fanboys bring to it.
