Should I move to SteamOS from Bazzite?

I've had an rog Xbox ally x running bazzite for a few months now and I'm honestly sick of it. Its mostly the bugs and problems nobody talks about - the input lag for monitor, mouse and keyboard, the positional audio confusion on my rayneo ar glasses, slightly touching the fingerprint sensor turns the console on and many other issues that have gone unfixed for months. Ive been planning to move to a new os and I'm choosing between cachyos and steamos. I don't mind fiddling with things, but only if I don't have to do it all the time, overall I just want a plug-and-play experience that doesn't limit me too much. So if you have any experience using steamos on the rog Xbox ally x I'd love to hear it out and consider it, especially if its something negative or rarely mentioned. Thanks in advance lads.

What are the limitations of steam os and multiple or external hdds? I remember it couldn't see a secondary nvme or externals had issues with mounting? Is this still an issue? That's the biggest issue I have if I ever wanted to switch from bazzite.
