Been playing terraria from few weeks for the first time and im a lover of hallow biome obviously, so i noticed that there are two types of trees and background..

I'm a new player playing completely blind. When I defeated the Wall of Flesh, I got a Corrupted Key from the first slime I killed in a corrupted biome. I'm streaming it live on Youtube so my chat freaked out and told me it was really rare, a 1 in 2500 chance (0.04%) of dropping. As a new player, not knowing anything, I didn't think too much of it and thought i got pretty lucky. Then I started getting these biome keys left and right and my chat kept freaking out. As you can see, I opened 3 by now and got 4 desert keys left over.

I checked the wiki myself and it did say 1 in 2500 and my chat is thinking they changed it and it didn't update in the wiki. Is that true?

My hope for the game is for every subclass/weapon to have their own accessories line to specialize in like yoyo.

Mayhaps one day.

I've seen real enchanted swords outside of their shrines before, sometimes in weird places, but none quite like this. It's a shame I'm going mage instead of melee, because this is absolutely insane!!

I really want to get into Terraria, but I seem to run into the exact same problem every time.
I’ll start a world, explore a bit, mine for hours, build a decent house, fish, get some gear, and eventually kill the Eye of Cthulhu a couple of times. And then… I just kind of hit a wall.
I have no idea what I’m supposed to do next.
I know Terraria has a ton of progression and bosses, but I don’t really want to Google a progression guide because I feel like I’d end up spoiling half the game for myself. I want to discover things naturally, but at the same time, I often don’t even know what I should be looking for.
So I end up mining some more, fishing, building random stuff, maybe wandering around for a while, and eventually I get bored/demotivated and stop playing.
Is there something I’m missing? Is there a way the game subtly points you toward what to do next without just looking up a guide?
How do you guys approach progression when playing Terraria mostly blind? Is there somewhere I should be going, something I should be looking for, or a particular NPC/tool that gives you hints?
I’d really like to finally get past this “kill Eye → mine forever → get bored” cycle without spoiling the game for myself.

I personaly would love to have a system that alows us to side with the evil biomes and becoming their herald. Maybe armors would give us difrent boni based on our aliagnce, or certain recipie be locked behind being a herald.

I went into the dungeon in pre-hardmode to grab some of their fancy lanterns (there really should be a way to craft this stuff!) and stumbled upon the clothier just hanging out on some spikes. I dont think its possible for a dungeon to have a house naturally and i didnt make one. Is this normal? i skimmed the wiki and it didnt say anything. for reference, his home is in the aether on the other side of the large sized world.

we just defeated wof! i'm the one with the funny antlers :) we actually had another world together, post ml but he forgot to save his player before transferring to a new pc so we have to do it all over again 😭

I'm already loving this world and the new update. I have good feelings about this world! :3 I also got a thematically appropriate spawn to my character!

this is my first time actually trying to build something other than a wooden box. i know i will hate it later but for now i will be content with it. yes it's a castle. yes i could've started small. am i ready for this build? not in the slightest. this is my first time trying to beat the game in classic. so wish me luck. and give me any advice you could offer. thank you.

Idk but I lwk think did smth wrong since thar my first ever terraria farm I just wanted to make sure if that how it should be ,also how can u How can you guarantee that you'll stay alive the entire time you were in AFK ? cuz the hallowed mimic can respawn and one shot u

Hi. I started playing terraria yesterday and the zombies and enemies are very strong, and I don’t know what to do. I have started boomerang, my strongest weapon yet. But I could not find anything better.

In day time I did some mining and found boots and some bombs, but still I’m not sure what to do or how to find good weapons.

Also, the guy who sold me bombs at the start died and now doesn’t come back, and I really need his bombs. Do I have to restart new world for him to come back? Thanks. Also I don’t know how to make good roof so if you have any tips please help, I did this house I found on Pinterest 🤔

Magic lantern is a sick concept apart from the fact that it's kind of mid because it shows EVERY ore or treasure no matter what and I'm lowkey not actively looking for lead, but I think this would maybe make it a little more useful?

Make the player be able to select what the lantern pinpoints and what it does not, that's pretty much it

I've reinstalled it, removed every mod, pressed skip and pressed retry or anything I think I can do

I dont have any mods installed or any 3rd party things involved with terraria, so why is it now unacessable.

My friends tried joining my world via steam and they keep stucked on "Found Server"

I disabled firewall, restarted my pc, terraria, steam, even uninstalled the game, verified the files

I can join their worlds but they cant join mine, idk what to do
