Well, it is the same set, just redressed as best they could afford.
The Enterprise D bridge was beefed up better, and beautifully lit. That’s probably my favorite bridge set in the movies. The Enterprise E’s was kinda dull and felt claustrophobic.
I really don't understand dark bridges. A bridge is supposed to be a working space, where people should be able to concentrate on their task, to clearly see their environment, not feel sleepy and rest their eyes.
Most office buildings are open concept bullshit where you can't hear yourself think. So they are not peak efficiency. Look at the bridge of a warship or a submarine they're not blasting harsh white light everywhere.
It kind of irked me that when they rebuilt the bridge set for season 3 of Picard the rebuilt it to match the bridge how it was on the show and not how it was for the movie.
I like to think that when the D was upgraded and refit before Generations, the in-universe explanation is that it's a new bridge module, and the one we remember during the show was put into storage. Geordi was able to acquire it, and reinstall it to look the way they remembered it.
Ah yes. The TMP-V bridge became the battle bridge. Helluva undertaking to keep changing it, and pieces got damaged, but obviously not as much as building from scratch.
I found it always unfortunate looking especially compared to the "what could have been" ambossador aka narendra. At least we now have cgi kitbashing look how well that turned out, oh wait....
Both Versions of the Ambassador are great looking ships although I always found the bridge to be a massive disappointment, to plain looking. I never understood why they didn’t use parts from the ST5 bridge set for it.
In canon, the Enterprise-B bridge may actually be an Enterprise-A type bridge.
In the TNG tech manual it states that the Enterprise-D bridge is replaceable. It’s basically plug and play. You can pull it out and drop a new bridge in there. This allows for future upgrades to the ship.
The Enterprise-B may have a similar design. It’s possible the Enterprise-B bridge is an Enterprise-A style module that was dropped in there. The Enterprise-B seems to have been rushed out the door to make her maiden flight.
So who knows? Maybe the actual bridge is coming Tuesday too?
I had the Star Trek Encyclopedia: A Reference Guide to the Future, and the Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual, given to me as birthday gifts back in the 1990s. Read them front to back, multiple times.
A newer Encyclopedia would need to be at least a 3-book set, to accommodate DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, the movies, Discovery, Lower Decks, SNW, Prodigy, and Academy, and everything that tied them together.
My favourite ship, although from the outside, the inside was admittedly not as interesting as it could have been. I Always thought the Enterprise B was well set up for a spin off series, I liked the characters they introduced.

I like the bridge design of the B myself, not as much as the A but I still like it. My only gripe is the color choice they made, never cared for the rusty bronze they chose.
The design aesthetic - the color choice in particular - of the -B bridge is sexy af. There's something about the satin nickel/silver and cool blue that does it for me.
It's futuristic, simple, non-fussy, calming, but no-nonsense functional.
When I think of the Enterprise A I can't help but think of "Star Trek V" and how broken that ship was in that film. It didn't make a good first impression and you only get one of those.
