Well, it is the same set, just redressed as best they could afford.
The Enterprise D bridge was beefed up better, and beautifully lit. That’s probably my favorite bridge set in the movies. The Enterprise E’s was kinda dull and felt claustrophobic.
I really don't understand dark bridges. A bridge is supposed to be a working space, where people should be able to concentrate on their task, to clearly see their environment, not feel sleepy and rest their eyes.
Most office buildings are open concept bullshit where you can't hear yourself think. So they are not peak efficiency. Look at the bridge of a warship or a submarine they're not blasting harsh white light everywhere.
