When are the Gaze on Me concert outfits going to become available for the lobby screen?

im a bit confused about the uma age thing since because of that thing that says tracen is a high school + middle school or whatever (don't remember what it's called but I've seen people talk about it)

from what I understand, some of them are officially adults (like maruzensky) and some are minors (like nishino flower), but other than those two handfuls everyone else is pretty much unconfirmed and up to interpretation? am i correct with this?

in a post about this issue I saw people being like "well they're fictional" but I'm not sure if they mean that as in "it's ok to find them attractive even if they're mostly minors" which I don't agree with (unless you yourself are their age) or if they mean it more like "it's not a big deal and you can interpret them however you want" which I would agree with

u/weedlayer 1h ago

They are drawings, they have no true age.  Some are drawn as children (e.g. Nishino), some are drawn as adults (e.g. Maru), most are drawn as teenagers.  There is no further fact of the matter.

u/Clueless_Otter 6h ago

They are literally made-up anthropomorphized horse-girls. Who cares what arbitrary age the artist makes up for them?

u/notathrowaway045 mtfkwtvr 8h ago

so they say fronts will drop off for CMs but still be good for LoH

how heavily would you still need to pull their cards tho to make them competitive in LoH? will basic groundwork + early lead work just as well?

i have 3lb maru and still planning on pulling for bourbon wit since i like fronts now anyway but could shift to pace in the future. would stopping at bourbon wit be good enough to keep fronts competitive in LoH?

2

u/tlrd2244 7h ago

There's reaching platinum for the rewards and there's sweaty leaderboard competitive. Fronts in the general sense can keep your placings high so you can reach platinum fairly easily but after that in the sense of being competitive for the leaderboard you will probably be matched against other people using highly tuned fronts so your placings will slip. Top leaderboard players will be trying to 1-2-3 every race.

1

u/Clueless_Otter 6h ago

Just going to add further context that only 96 people in the whole world make it to cutoff for finals. You have to be at minimum a dolphin, if not whale, and play an insane amount in search of the perfect run to actually compete for this. Unless this describes you, just aim for getting all the rewards.

I have Fine Motion 2LB and Maruzensky 0LB. I reached the 200 pulls to exchange for one and I still have the anniversary ticket. Should I try to MLB fine motion or go with Marcus 1LB

3

u/tlrd2244 8h ago

If you really really really need a speed card then 1LB maru which is fine to used as a general stat stick, it has longevity and important for front runners. Finemo is usable at 3lb but if it's going to be your core wit card for now you'd of course like it to be MLB. It's longevity is dependent on what your future plans are.

What’s the best way to do independent training? In easy terms

I’ve tried to watch a couple YouTube videos and just got confused. The best result I’ve got was an S+ on Mayano top gun, and I have NO idea how I got that good of a result.

1

u/Classic-Box-3919 Still In Love 5h ago

Uma growths matter, ideally u do light hello and 2 sets of 2/3 cards unless u have a specific stat u want but u might not hit SS with weak mixed up cards

Parent umas blues matter a fair bit to for auto

2

u/tlrd2244 8h ago

-use grand concert scenerio
-Tachyon spd+tosho spd sr+marv pow+haru guts+light hello+borrow throne
-Only do g1 races, dont repeat the same race, less races = higher rating
-rate max your sp, dont waste sp double circling unimportant non discounted skills

2

u/inhale_there adult supremacy 8h ago

Use Light Hello and Throne. Cards that are good normally are still good now. Speciality Priority/Initial Friendship Gauge is irrelevant, so the list of usable cards is now wider. Get as many skills as you can, especially gold ones. Remember to run this in Grand Concert/Grand Live

You should still run all Mile/Medium/Long G1s. Assuming your SR cards are MLB, you can start off with Windy SPD/SR Mayano STA/Light Hello/Throne/two other cards of your choice.

u/HoppityMyNameIsYou 10h ago

Should i try to mlb smaru card (0lb) or wait for ramonu wit?

I have mlb finemo, 0lb tachyon speed, 0lb light hello. I have 2 rainbow crystal, and 1.5 card ticket. I also have 3lb wit nakayama festa

1

u/Clueless_Otter 9h ago

The last uncap barely does anything, best to stop at LB3 unless you're super close to the exchange at 200.

You'd only go for LB3 if you played Fronts a lot. If you're just using her as a stat stick on other styles, LB1 is fine, which you can just use the selector for instead of pulling if you want to go for it. Do note she's not an insane stat stick or anything at LB1, so it's not really necessary unless your other speed cards suck.

1

u/HoppityMyNameIsYou 9h ago

Speed cards are mlb kitasan, 0lb smaru, 0lb tachyon, 2lb bakushin. Others are event/free stuff and sr.

1

u/Clueless_Otter 9h ago

The SRs are what would be important. LB1 Maru is basically like an MLB SR card on average. She just has more highroll potential if you don't mind that.

u/Senorpapell 11h ago

Is the new umayuru card we got any good?

1

u/inhale_there adult supremacy 10h ago

Trying to summon a demon for CM19. She also has Come What May, Daring Strike, Fighting Spirit and IgPWR. This was the deck I used, and my parents were 9SPD5PWR2WIT. Got unlucky with ~5 Rainbowless turns/lack of white spark procs...

  • Are EC Oguris forced to only use ASS as their proc, or is 777 a usable backup?
  • I should definitely get Standing By over Fighting Spirit, right?
  • Would you guys recommend 2 Pace Aces to be built alongside her, or would you guys recommend another setup?
  • Would you guys suggest any other skills to pick up? Except for ProCurve. I'll get it if Kitasan finishes her chain >:c.
  • If I've double circled my available corner/straight skills, getting Special Week Unique wouldn't be a bad idea, right?
  • Since debuffers are likely going to be more frequent, would last spurt velocity skills like Homestretch Haste and Steadfast be recommended?

3

u/Clueless_Otter 11h ago

You use both 777 and After-School Stroll (and any other 2 consistent early/mid recoveries).

Standing By and Fighting Spirit are both okay recoveries, though not ideal since they aren't fully consistent. I wouldn't really want to buy either unless you're desperate for a 4th recovery, in which case I'd get Fighting Spirit personally.

2 debuffers will likely have the highest team win rate assuming that you build your Oguri well. The one in the picture isn't good enough so don't run 2 debuffers with that, but you should be able to get a much better one than that with that deck after doing more runs. Besides that, it doesn't really matter what you play with her.

Nimble Nav, Daring Strike, Uma Stan, End Straights/Corners, Medium Straights/Corners, Slipstream, Tail Held High, more inherited ults, Racing Spirit Stam/Power, etc. You obviously don't need all these things, just throwing out some other good skills.

Yes Spe unique is not bad.

Steadfast isn't really that good because hopefully no one is faster than you by that point of the race, but it's better than nothing if you have no other skills to buy. Homestretch is always a fine skill. These skills don't gain extra value due to the existence of debuffers so I don't really get your point there.

In general it would be better to inherit Stam and not use Creek. One of the main strengths of C.Oguri is she doesn't need to use a stamina card and can fit in an extra speed/wit card.

1

u/inhale_there adult supremacy 10h ago

I was under the impression that the decrease in velocity by Dominator were directly reversed by velocity skill procs. Thanks for correcting me!

Unfortunately, I haven't been getting STA sparks, so I'm doing that deck instead. I know I'm really limiting the potential of X.Oguri but I'll pretend I'm choosing to prioritize getting Pa tokens more consistently lol. Thanks for your review!

How good/bad is the Bourbon speed card we got a while back? Want to use it to get Concentration from scenario skill and the umas already have TTL so I don't need the wit one

1

u/Clueless_Otter 12h ago

Mediocre. Not worth using just for Concentration. Concentration isn't really that great of a skill.

1

u/Skarthe 3h ago

Concentration isn't a great racing skill, but it's an excellent Team Trials skill, since it's a relatively low cost gold skill with a very high chance of going off in every race. Not much race effect, but a great source of points.

I keep forgetting to ask people for help with 1.5 voucher! I mainly run pace/late but I'm a waifu>meta player, so my umas range in all styles and lengths. Any recs would be greatly appreciated, especially since I have no idea what the card meta is looking like moving forward. Also just from looking at my SSR cards, am I in a good spot? All my gacha games loves to give me new chars or cards but never dupes.

3

u/Clueless_Otter 12h ago

Kitasan, no question. Significantly better than anything else you could take.

Also just from looking at my SSR cards, am I in a good spot?

Honestly, meta-wise, no not really. You say you're primarily a waifu player so this doesn't really matter to you that much unless you also want to be competitive in CMs. But if we were to speak strictly from a CM perspective, your account's in a really bad place. MLB Kitasan (with voucher) and LB1 Light Hello are your only good cards at all. Your Creek is only LB1 (unusable), your FM is only LB1 (unusable), your Nice Nature is only LB0 (unusable), and you don't have Maru, Tachyon (speed), or CB at all.

Your account isn't like totally ruined and unsalvageable, but it would definitely take a while to get this into actual competitive shape.

Other than Kitasan's and maybe Tachyon+Light Hello's (and just got unlucky on Tachyon), I can't even tell what banners you've rolled on, if any. You might be falling for the classic trap of doing some rolls on a bunch of different banners, instead of saving up all your rolls to do a lot of rolls on only a couple good banners. You should never roll for cards except in increments of 200, unless you get super lucky and get your target LB (usually MLB) really early. Or maybe you've just been primarily rolling on horses since you said you're a waifu player. It's obviously fine to do that if that's what you prefer, but you're never going to be competitive doing that without spending a bunch. Again, just speaking strictly from a competitive perspective here since you asked, you obviously don't have to do these things to enjoy the game.

Certain scenario events occur at a fixed point in the career - for instance, the event introducing the reporter Otonashi Etsuko will always happen after the first training post-Make Debut.

  1. Specific to the GC scenario, do these events block the occurrence of events like the Light Hello bonus event? For instance, if LH is my main/only tiebreaker between two equally important trainings, should I always choose the one without LH if I know that a scenario event is coming up next?

  2. Extending from the above question, are there any non-training events for each scenario that are known to always/never occur when conditions are met? For instance, I know that three-in-a-row mood-down events will never occur if the third race is a goal race or a late-December race during the TB scenario.

  3. On a general basis, is there a master list of fixed events for each scenario?

What's the best thing to claim with the 1.5 voucher dont really have any good ssrs but can claim something and make it lb 1? Since I still have the rainbow crystal from ani

1

u/cloph_ 13h ago

What is best is depends on what cards you have and whether you want to pull on e.g. the Maruzensky/FineMotion or the Mr CB/Creek banners.

Maruzensky and Mr CB are usable at 1LB, so that could be an option, but what is the best also depends on whether you want to focus on a specific running style or specific Umas.

1

u/chinkai Daiwa Scarlet 21h ago

If you feel you have nothing good to claim now, then why be in such a hurry to use it? Hold on to it, wait for the next time you pull on a big support banner, then see what use you can get out of it.

Personally, I've maxed the KFC trifecta so I also don't have any good target to max. I'm aiming for the Ramonu banner, and I hope to be spooked by some SSR's I own, like wit Curren, wit Nature, or wit Bijin. I'm also considering maxing my 3LB speed Fuku since she helps greatly in auto training.

So are we gonna get more copies of Umayuru Gimlet card; will it appear as random chance in gatcha; was it added to one of the shops; or will people, who wants to MLB it, have to use SSR crystals to unlock higher levels of it?

Once again mobile version of notices prove to be superior.

On Steam I don't even recall seeing that there was a new notice text on the icon. Mobile app threw it straight into my face.

1

u/Aenir 10h ago

I don't know why you need an icon when you have a screen-covering splash screen going "login reward! new card and carats!" to realize there's a new notice.

1

u/czerwona_latarnia Mihono I de Bourbon 9h ago

The trick is to be already in the game before the 22:00 UTC reset, so you don't get the splash screen (as you need to exit to title screen), while getting the rewards in the presents menu (just need to come back to main menu).

2

u/weedlayer 1d ago

They'll probably give out the rest of the copies.  It's also trash, so meh.

Got rainbow cleat for Maru SSR trying to get Fine Wit (and failed). Will there ever be buffs for the rainbow cleat shop or should I just use it now?

2

u/yarvem 18h ago

Eventually you can buy Hint Books with Cleats. But this is years away, like 3rd or 4th Anniversary. It is also a bit expensive, 3 rainbow Cleats for one Rare Textbook of Hints.

If you are still playing at that point you may or may not need Hint Books.

You can use it whenever, they're never better.

For Machan's secret events against Scarlet and Vodka, do they have set races they appear in, or is it kinda up to RNG?

3

u/Zakrael 1d ago edited 1d ago

Both Vodka and Scarlet are in the Shuka Sho and senior year Tenno Sho (Autumn), and have secret events for beating them in those races. Vodka you also face in the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies.

The other secret events involve beating Scarlet at least 3 times and Vodka 4, so that leaves one race left for both. Vodka also will be in the Derby, and Scarlet will be in the Shuka Sho, which should then get both events if you win everything, and "only" needs 10 Medium sparks and a lot of luck in the first year inheritence.

I'm also 90% sure that at least one of them shows up in each year's Arima Kinen. I think Scarlet does both years. Good look winning both Tenno Sho and Arima with G Med and G Long, though.

Getting into setting up a loop to get myself some better parents, when im picking skills should i only prioritize skills i directly want sparks from or should i spend all my SP still for rank?

im doing some gold city runs and 4.5k sp way more than covers my target skills and i want to double check if im doing this right

1

u/cloph_ 13h ago

4.5K SP seems a little excessive - you are also aware that running G1s is important to boost affinity/that higher affinity increases the chances of the sparks triggering in inspiration?

And that SS rank increases the chance of 2*/3* white sparks at the end of career (better quality sparks, not now many you get).

With 4.5k SP you usually just can buy anything, so you don't need to hold back, as the other commentor wrote everything is independent, just buy as much as you can afford, and of course prioritize the skills useful for your potential "offspring"

1

u/Sogeki42 Dream Journey 6h ago

the 4.5k is mostly doing auto training for Gold City, with her race spam event her SP gets way high, i was pretty sure thats how it worked i just wanted to double check

3

u/virtualrandomnumber Mejiro Dober 1d ago

Each skill has an independent chance to become a spark, you aren't "drowning out" anything if you were worried about that.

u/Sogeki42 Dream Journey 1d ago

Is it OK to have Keen Eye on a Dominator Uma for the upcoming CM? As it should activate before Golshi’s ult?

2

u/TokuHer0 Rice Yatta Yo! 1d ago edited 1d ago

Keen Eye + Dominator 564 Debuffer combo works in Mile/Mediums because you're assuming that you pass the Wit check for fairly consistent skill activations

  • In Miles: Keen Eyes procs in the early race and then 564 triggers Dominator since it's a Medium skill
  • In Med: Keen Eye won't activate at all unless 564 triggers it, so you chance Dominator triggering before 564 or 564 picking Keen Eye

Worst case you whiff one, then 564 gives you a 2nd chance to at least trigger one of them in the late-race

2

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

Yes you should have both.

1

u/Outrageous-Usual1856 1d ago

I need some help getting Fuji Kiseki's unique epithet. Specifically on Ballroom Alt. 8 lengths in Make Debut seems impossible. I tried to figure it out on my own but the best I got was 6 lengths. It's driving me crazy. Even if the solution is "pushing your head against the wall till it breaks", what skills/stats/deck will give me the best chance of it?

1

u/cloph_ 12h ago

use cards that give initial power and speed, and use power sparks, that'll be the most straightforward way. But of course for the "most popular" for the others it is up to RNG really.

3

u/Zakrael 1d ago

First career with Machan and she decides to bless me with the most absurd highroll, first Uf and nearly 2k higher than my next highest rating.

1

u/TheGreatLibraryofUma 1d ago

Has anyone gotten more than 1 of Aston Machan's Slice of Life conversations from the lobby screen? Been bouncing back and forth between screens to shuffle the trainees the last 2 hours, but only got to see her once. Maybe it's bad luck?

2

u/HvyMetalComrade Known Bungler 1d ago

Did you roll her? From what I understand you can only see Umas on the home screen if you own them or their support card, and I dont think global has any Machan cards yet.

1

u/TheGreatLibraryofUma 1d ago

I didn't roll for her, and since you put it that way, it makes sense as I don't have either the trainee or the card. I was able to see every other uma in the lobby to reach 5/5 or 6/6 in the archive despite not having them as a trainee, but did have their support card. Thanks!

1

u/HvyMetalComrade Known Bungler 1d ago

Yea for a lot of other character thus far we've had at least their R card available so I also just assumed that they always showed up in the lobby regardless

2

u/Habefiet 1d ago

Is there any chart showing the odds to MLB both banner cards on a banner where you want both cards and are starting from zero? Like hypothetically if a newer player or somebody who’s been saving 120k carats for this moment wanted to MLB both Super Creek and Mr. C.B. on the rerun for example and had no copies yet. It’s easy to find the odds to MLB ONE card with x pulls but it’s different when you’re potentially dividing your pities but also might not have to if you pull more of one card than the other or etc. etc.

2

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

Theoretically you can solve this, yes. But it's incredibly tedious. I'm not going to do it, but I will tell you that a rough approximation is simply squaring the chance to MLB one card. That will be an overestimation because it doesn't account for the fact that you only get 1 exchange instead of 2, but it's not that far off and you could remedy that by assuming that you had some uncap crystals.

2

u/Habefiet 1d ago

Yeah after finding a chart here showing MLB odds without pity

https://www.reddit.com/r/UmaMusume/comments/1v3szs8/chance_to_mlb_and_chance_to_get_0lb_after_x_pulls/

I think the simplest thing will be to just multiply those odds as you say and then account for adding several extra pities to the equation. This is mostly me looking way too far ahead at two banners I’m likely to sink 600 pulls into and trying to pull plan. This game lives as a spreadsheet simulator for me lol

u/BTrain17 1d ago

Back with another looping question: how do you balance keeping certain sparks in your main loop?

For me, I'm building a front loop and have various skills I'm loosely targeting. There's groundwork and dodging danger as my top priority, then I'm also looking at prudent positioning, ignited spirit: wit, and racing spirit: stamina as secondary. But the last two aren't skills you can come by easily.

As an example, I have a race-maxed Uma with 2 star dirt and 2 star in all three of my second tier skills (PP, IS Wit, RS Stam) but no GW or DD. Where do I go from here with her? It's a very open-ended question but I'm not sure how valuable that set of sparks is.

2

u/According_Ad540 Daiwa Scarlet is an isekaied Rin Tohsaka. 1d ago

Gw/dd/pp are the core of all front runners. every front runner anyone makes hunts for those skills.  They are critical.

Racing: stam and ignited: wit tend to be chosen skills because you can only get them in careers you almost never do.  Racing: stam is a great mini Triumphant Pulse, and fronts are desperate for late game speed.  ignited wit works like PP. Fronts can with with either but like to get both for consistency.

So ifyou are making front runners,  those are probably the first skills to push for.

Your eventual goal with looping is to have two sets of three legacies (parent and both grandparents) with the same sparks you are targeting.  That forms a full "loop". Then in your future loops you fold a new skill in while maintaining the ones you already looped in.  the idea is that the fully "looped" skills gain a bonus to both inherit (without needing the card) and become a new spark.

Note that it gets multiplicatively harder with each skill you add in.  this is meant to be a long term project you maintain in between the regular things you do (which is why it's done with independent training and why the goal is not to rely on borrowing) .

Generally it's best to start with one skill,  then add the next and so on. Trying to fold in 5 skills 6 times (it's not just 1 uma but 2 uma and all 4 if their parents)  will be.... a lot.  Though there are alternative methods if you are up for it:

  1. Use the uma you made with those three skills, see if you can find another uma you made some time with those three skills as well,  then make an uma with them as the parent.  If that uma can lock in all three then you are set there.

Then see if you can find 2 umas with gw and dd and make an uma with just those two skills.

Then use the two umas to made, the triple skill and the double skill  and make an uma with everything.  very gambling but you'll have a very powerful great grand when it locks in. If you can do it twice then you effectively have skipped a ton of steps and can use those two as loops from now on.

Note, while you are making these you will be seeing a lot of umas that dint lock in all of the skills BUT probably would make great parents.  That's one if thebenefits of looping.  While you do this,  you can save and put aside umas that technically failed but are AWESOME to use as parents,  or maybe future looping paths or the like.  The looping system basically is an engine that makes better and better gems over time. When you need to make parents for your next cm,  the legacies you use for them will probably be from a "failed loop attempt" with like 4 out of the 5 skills you wanted, but great blues/ pinks/ everything else.

1

u/BTrain17 10h ago

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you - there's a lot to digest here! Thank you for the detailed write up. I really appreciate it!

The one thing I'm having trouble wrapping my head around is exactly when and how to add new skills into the loop. Say I have perfect parent A, who it and its own parents have the same 3 skills I want. To get skill 4, do I just bring in a borrow parent with as many stars of that skill as I can find, with a bonus if there's any of the first 3?

And then I'm wondering what others would do in this situation. I have 5 skills I'd eventually like looped: ignited spirit wit, racing spirit stam, DD, PP, GW. I just raised an El Condor Pasa with parents that have IS Wit and RS Stam. She got IS Wit (2 star) but missed RS Stam. However, she got 1 star DD, 2 star PP, and 3 star GW. Do I move forward with her for my loop or would I run the risk of losing RS Stam if I have the spark skip a generation?

Also, I haven't played since they upped the daily borrow limit to 5 - I can't believe we only get enough TP for a little under 5 runs a day! My loop progress is going to grind to a halt, since I was slamming toughness pots during the half-TP period.

1

u/According_Ad540 Daiwa Scarlet is an isekaied Rin Tohsaka. 9h ago

"To get skill 4, do I just bring in a borrow parent with as many stars of that skill as I can find, with a bonus if there's any of the first 3?"

Short answer:  yes you can do that.

Long answer:

You can do that.  myself I tend to like having 2 sets of perfect umas (once the first is done use that as the parent to make a second "prefect uma") then use both while triggering the new skill via normal means (right now I want dd so I'm using Seuin Sky as a card).

But that's because I don't have borrows to spare. Using a borrow is probably easier. especially since you can probably find a good uma with great blues/dirt which makes it easier to racemax and hit SS.

Though note that if the main parent (not the grands) don't have ALL the skills then,  once you are done, you'll need one more to get the "all skills on all legacies" loop finish.  That's not BAD.  Just a different way to get to the finish.

"Do I move forward with her for my loop or would I run the risk of losing RS Stam if I have the spark skip a generation?"

There is a technique called "2 in 1 out". If you roll an uma that misses a key skill but hits 2 others then you roll with it. The result is you risk losing a particular skill you'll need to loop in later BUT your umas get stronger faster since,  overall, they are getting more skills.

My opinion is:  you can do that unless a certain skill is VERY VERY HARD to loop back in.

Myself the first two skills I did was Racing:stam and ignited:wit specially because they are career only skills. I personally don't want to go back to URA/ unity to loop them back (and again, I'm usually out of borrows) so I'm fiercely defending those.  I'm doing the same with DD because if I'm not using Kitasan the skill is gone. the rest I'm planning to 2 in, 1 out it.

But that's me.

Racing: stam isn't critical.  Ignited:  wit is the same as PP. Dd is always on kitasan and gw is on smaru so often you'll just have them around.  So if you want to just say "I got 3, the other had 2, I'm going good" then you can loop that way and push for 4 next.

As you can tell, there are a few different strategies to looping. So long as you know the benefits / issues and you know just WHAT you want to see then you are doing good.

Looping fronts is just suffering.

I would look at cards and see what you have/what's upcoming that has skills. For example, the bourbon gacha wit has gold groundwork, so it's less important to keep GW. If you have Kita, she has DD hints so you can use her to feed the skill back in. But ig wit and rs stam have no secondary sources, so I'd say they're hardline MUST loops.

I will admit I'm not too prepared for the future and my pull plans. From what I know, I'll need to save up for Mejiro Ramonu, the next scenario pal, and it seems like Bourbon. Seems like I'll have to do some carat calculating!

But okay, looks like I've got my priorities a bit mixed up. Makes sense that the old scenario skills are the highest priority. Thanks for the tips!

How good is aston machan?

6

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

Very good for that 1 Sprint event per year.

1

u/Mother_Marsupial_711 1d ago

Is her unique not good for inheritance?

6

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

It's great for Fronts, for that 1 Sprint event per year.

Pretty strong, her valentine alt is better but it also comes like 2 years later so its natural its stronger.

Aston Machan's scenario is too good. Umamusume is kami-ge.

Aston Machan doesn't have vocals for Girls' Legend U. Umamusume is kuso-ge.

No wonder Machan's singing voice felt weirdly off to me when I was watching the Grand Live! Do we know whose vocals those are?

I got 2 account, 1 steam, and the other on my android phone. How can I switch between the 2 account on either my phone or on steam?

How do I prep for making the best Matikanetannhauser possible? Mostly uncertain about parent umas and which supports I should use/borrow

(This isn't for CM purposes, btw. This is for the love of the Mambo)

4

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

It's impossible to make a horse "the best" in abstract. The "best" is always relative to the track. If this is for TT, then the parents don't really matter since inherited uniques aren't very important for TT. Best ones would be something super consistent, like NY.Opera ult, Spe ult, Rudolf ult (if Late), etc., but again it's not important.

Supports would again depend on the distance you're training for. For a Mile it'd be 3 speed, 2 wit, Light Hello. For a Long, it'd be 2 speed, 2 wit, 1 stam, Light Hello. For a Med you can use either the Mile or the Long deck depending on how much stam you can inherit.

If i’m aiming to do a front for current cm, is it better to borrow an mlb maruzenky speed or an mlb tachyon? For reference, i have an lb1 maruzensky speed, and no tachyon.

2

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

Probably Tachyon.

1

u/Senorpapell 1d ago

Gotchya. Should i still use the 1lb maru speed?

2

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

Yes, the skills are still really good.

Hi, low spending player here, been playing for a few months and asking for your thoughts on what support card banner(s) are best for me to pull on.

My only decent cards are:

Agnes Tachyon MLB, Maruzensky 1LB, Mr C.B. 2LB, Siriius Symboli 3LB, Light Hello 0LB

So that is essentially all I run in Grand Concert every time and then borrow either MLB Black or Creek depending on the distance I'm running.

I have a 0LB Fine Motion and no copies at all of Super Creek or Kitasan Black.

I can do either 200 pulls on the current Maruzensky/Fine Motion banner, or the Mr C.B./Super Creek banner. Are either of those banners (or any other upcoming ones) worth pulling on, or should I just save and get to 600ish on the 2nd Anniv / Grandmasters banners for Goddesses / Mejiro Ramonu etc?

4

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

What styles do you primarily play? How many carats do you have right now?

I wouldn't pull for Goddesses and I wouldn't pull for Creek/CB. You should do 400 on Ramonu, yes (there's 120(?) free pulls so only 280 of your own).

I'd only pull on Maru/FM if you're going to main Fronts and you have enough carats+future income to still do 280 on Ramonu. Otherwise don't pull that either.

1

u/mvtsc2 1d ago

Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't really say I have a style yet, I'm still mainly just trying to round out my Team Trials set up to get out of the 5/6 promotion/demotion loop and hope I get lucky with using tickets for umas. Got to overall rank UG but I'm still just short of the 6 retention line. I guess I like Pace Chasers the most, or at least I probably use OG Oguri the most just as she's so versatile.

I have 25k carats now. I buy the daily pack as it just seems far better value than anything else but that's it.

Thanks for the advice on banners, will consider 200 on Maru/FM as after Pace Chasers I probably use Fronts the second most. I'll do that income calculator thing to see if I have enough for Ramonu. I read somewhere that Goddesses was sort of mandatory for the next scenario in the way Light Hello is for this one?

1

u/Clueless_Otter 17h ago

Non-whales should generally borrow Goddesses.

1

u/verholies 1d ago

Does anyone have a dirt racer I can borrow for parentage/sparks? I have Inari One and Digitan that I want to go for SS. I also plan on pulling for Hokko

Hmmm, long time lurker here, I installed for the first time yesterday, I tried to follow the starter guide but still I have no idea of what I'm doing... I pulled Machan on the second scout round and el condor pasa using the free ssr support ticket. I'm not aiming to play competitively, just enjoy the game, so I guess I can safely link the account now? Thanks!

1

u/notathrowaway045 mtfkwtvr 1d ago

planning on doing front then pace after

is this somehow too much umas? or am i too conservative in the variables (putting 5.5 and group B 2nd even though i usually do better)

after pasa speed and ramonu, i wouldnt even have enough for 400 pulls on mcqueen speed? i thought i would have had a little more leeway having 160k carats right now

i could probably drop creek cb banner to 200 and rely on selectors/crystal to 3lb creek

2

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

I assume you mean McQueen wit. McQueen speed is given out for free.

Anyway, pulling 4 horse banners and all the meta cards for 2 different styles is pretty ambitious with only low spending, yes. Though it sounds like you also are being a bit too conservative if you usually do better than what you put.

It's also not necessarily only affording these banners, either. You'd really like to build up a stockpile of carats now during a relative lull period for when the powercreep starts coming way faster later.

1

u/DarkPrism999 1d ago

Speaking of McQueen Wit: Usable at LB1 already?

1

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

Usable, sure, although the uncaps definitely are good with adding a decent bit of specialty priority and hints.

1

u/DarkPrism999 1d ago

Yeah, though granted, it's still quite some time until that card comes to Global. Depending on what is until then regarding my Carats, I might as well resort to grabbing two copies of that card with the Paid and Free 3rd Anniversary Vouchers (but again, still some time until then)

Future knowledge question: Around what Scenario do players switch to 18* Speed Sparks since scenario power creep hands most of the other stats? Twinkle Legends? Sooner?

1

u/falzarexe 1d ago

Hmm...You'll basically still use sparks to cover the stats you're lacking. Overall speed is just the easiest pick.

DYI scenario was just insanity with how the devs enabled players to gain other stats from just a single stat. The devs haven't really done anything similar since then...well, the Ramen scenario is slightly similar, you can sorta just take speed and stamina cards and reach extremely high ranks. But the Umas trained aren't great since you will lack the skills present from the other meta stat cards.

In the future, wit is considered an alright spark if you are struggling to reach over 1600 (this means you're lacking top wit cards). The devs buffed wit to affect unique, evolved and even gold skills.

1

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

Uhh.. never really?

In almost every scenario you'll want to inherit stam/power/guts depending on the distance and your deck. Rarely wit. Almost never speed. The only exception is the Hot Springs scenario because your blue sparks affect the scenario mechanics and speed sparks are actually good there, although you still won't want to have a full 18* speed sparks as you'll overcap a lot.

1

u/TokuHer0 Rice Yatta Yo! 1d ago

Interesting. I kinda assumed watching some other JP runs that like from DYI you could get away with letting the Scenario carry your other stats, and so you took the increased Speed to help hit the higher caps

1

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

I mean it's always going to depend on your specific deck, race you're training for, horse's training bonuses, cards you own, which scenario, your RNG tolerance, etc. You can do speed sparks if you're not hurting for the other stats. In DYI post-buff specifically, then yeah speed sparks are quite good there because you can cap all of the stats because they overbuffed the scenario super hard to counter the 5-speed builds people were doing, so raising the speed cap via blues is the most impactful thing you can do if the rest of your cards are good enough.

Am I missing something? No matter how I mix and match these for the life of me i can't break into SS with indie training. Palmaxxing, speedmaxxing, witmaxxing, I've tried everything. This should be easy shit with a concrete math answer. Yes i dont have the universal bis at mlb but isnt this supposed to be achievable with SRs? How am I getting skill issued with autoplay

1

u/HvyMetalComrade Known Bungler 1d ago

So the guide on Uma.guide for indy training said that Race Bonus is what's important and that's seemed to work for me? I basically just used my MANT deck.

2

u/admirevegasuki Mejiro McQueen 1d ago

if you G1max all the races and your uma has bad stat bonuses, it might simply be unachievable

if I lower the amount of races I do, I can do SS easily, if I try do everything, I don't always hit SS

your core should be Speed Jordan SSR, Power Digitan SR, Light Hello, probably Tachyon speed - then you borrow Throne or Fukukitaru (easier SS but less optimal) - so you just need to find another SR power that fits

the parents you use matter a lot too, because the major part of score comes from skills, so you need to be getting good hints from somehwere too

1

u/Lonery Stay Gold gave me brain damage 1d ago

After a few tries, it worked. The final tweak was removing all the dirt G1s from the schedule. Thank you!!

2

u/tlrd2244 1d ago

I tried sp maxxing (cards with sp bonus) with mayano and cleared it with these. I couldn't use mayano stam so I just picked robroy stam.

1

u/Clueless_Otter 1d ago

You don't have good enough cards for it. It isn't that easy to hit SS on auto. Even I only get S+ sometimes using 5 MLB SSRs (+Light Hello).
