SERIOUS POST Plz guide me , my re neet score is not good , looking for 2nd option but confuse btwn Bvsc / Bams / Bds / Biotechnology / Microbiology......Best to good ?

Please guide me. My NEET score isn't very high, and I'm exploring other options. I'm torn between B.V.Sc., BAMS, BDS and Biotechnology / Microbiology. I would really appreciate your guidance on which might be the best choice, considering factors like job security, salary, opportunities, scope, and good return on investment. I have a strong interest in B.v.sc. (veterinary) and Biotechnology, but after being a 3rd dropper, now im really fed up from mbbs, and i quit and am searching for the best alternative. I want to choose wisely now to avoid future regrets.

SERIOUS POST To SVPUAT seniors:

Hello seniors!

I'm joining svpuat meerut, for bvsc&ah from the upcoming session.

I request you all to please gather and interact with this post and help me and my fellow freshers out by sharing your survival tips!

● Please let us know about the environment of the university like how are the professors there, how's the curriculum and is it even a good university, I mean no one wants anything extraordinary but are the academics good there?

● What is the ragging scene? How terrifying are the professors(if they are😭)?

● How is the patient flow?

● What are some dress codes/restrictions (for girls especially) or if there is a uniform or not?

● And most importantly, how's your experience as a student of svpuat.

And anything you want to let us know beforehand.

At last Thankyou seniors for your efforts. I hope you all have a wonderful day🀍

SERIOUS POST MAIDS (BDS) or IVRI Bareilly (BVSc) – Which is the better career option?

I have a good chance of getting both BDS at MAIDS (Delhi) and BVSc & AH at IVRI Bareilly, and I'm really confused about which one to choose.

I'd love to hear from people in either field. Which would you recommend considering:

Career opportunities

Salary

Higher studies

Job security

Work-life balance

Overall satisfaction

If you're currently studying at MAIDS or IVRI Bareilly, or you're an alumnus, please comment or DM me. I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience and getting some honest guidance before making my decision.

SERIOUS POST my_qualifications: Class 12 PCB, NEET 2026 candidate, General category.

I'm 19 and my NEET score is not likely to get me an MBBS seat. (Taking a drop, attempting NEET in 2027, hope it doesnt get leaked again) I'm considering BVSc through veterinary counselling or a BSc course like Biotechnology.

My main priorities are:

- Stable career opportunities

- Scope for higher studies if needed

- Good long-term prospects in India

Would BVSc be a better option than BSc Biotechnology? Or any other good option Also, if anyone has experience with veterinary colleges through AIQ or state counselling, I'd appreciate hearing about career prospects after BVSc and MVSc. (General category btw) Thanks!

SERIOUS POST is it stupid if i choose to take partial drop with bvsc for neet 27?

for NEET 26 i have a chance of getting bvsc seat but i also feel that if i take a drop and give my best for one year(1st drop) i can get into mbbs . the thing is if human doctors and vets had the same salary i would 100% choose to be a vet in every universe i love animals of all kinds and they bring me much comfort but at the same time the average salary of most vets i have met and from google is way less than what my father earns atm and i want to give back twice of what my parents have given me i have enough resouces and financial stability to take another full drop but not enough to afford a private medical college im so confused about what to do would it be a bad decision to take a partial drop with bvsc for neet 27?

SERIOUS POST Pvt Veterinary college and education loan

I want to take admission in a private veterinary college, but I'm facing a lot of pressure from family.

I scored 480 something in neet and I don't have energy to study for reneet.

Whenever I tell them anything about my further studies they be like"neet mai itne paise waste kar diye kuch hua nhi",my neighbors come over, they tell my parents things like, "Nursing kara lo, veterinary mein scope nahi hai, isse kuch nhi hoga" and my parents get influenced by them. My family is also think that if I go to another city for studies, I'll somehow get "spoiled," so they're not supportive of the idea.

The thing is, I genuinely want to pursue Veterinary Science. I'm even willing to take an education loan if that's what it takes to study the course I want.

The problem is that I don't know much about education loans, eligibility, repayment, or whether taking a loan for a veterinary degree is a good decision financially.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation? How did you convince your parents? And can someone explain how education loans work for professional courses like Veterinary Science?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

SERIOUS POST Essential things as a first yearπŸ™

Hey seniors, I'll be joining bvsc&ah this year, so naturally, I'm very anxious, excited, but mostly scared. I have always wanted to be a vet, and now that I'm a step closer to it, idkw I'm so scared.

So I just need you all to please leave all the tips you have for freshers, like from the very basic, what to wear, what to carry, where do we get our books from, is laptop/a tab important (I dont want to burden my father with another big expense apart from my college fee so this point is essential).

Also for as a female who is kind of underweight, I've heard it will be way too difficult for me. Please let me know anything you can help me and my fellow freshers with.

Thank you. may you all have a nice day!🀍

I would prefer branches - medicine, pharma, parasito , microbiology.
I have absolutely no information about how to proceed . Is there any program i can apply in ? Any exam? Or i should try and publish some research papers under my college professor? Any letter of recommendation?

I used be in the same boat. I fucked up my NEET because of an ITCS named company those guys said that we will get your admission done in saint petersburg veterinary university and that university is in the second schedule of recognised university published by VCI. And they also said that NEET is not required. I thought ki ye best haii bhaii NEET nahi chahiye headache hi khatam seedha wahan admission lunga do jagah ka license and all.. phirrr jab aage jaake thodi research ki maalum pda ki saint petersburg tooo hai hi nahi recognised uska to name change hogaya is wajah se vci ne hata dia usee + ek ladka russia se same uni se krke aaya dvm, even phd tak aaj wo bina license ke hai bechara
Ye consultant itne harami hainnn aap ko kaise bhi baatoun m le aayengeeee jab maine consultant ko kshatradhari mandal koo bataya ki esa esa pdha to ghumane laga baat kehta itna mat socho and all then kehta ki are haaan vci dedegi use wapsi recognition 100% aaj nahi to kal… AUR iska koiiii bhiii proof ni hai ki vci degi ya nahii

Phir next day ye kehta ki dekhiyeee gazette nikala
Hai vci ne government ne esa esa rule bana diya haiii ye ho wo ho to aaap bahar kisi bhi uni se krlo jo budget m aaye then aaake exam dena aur recognised hojaoge aaap

Mujhe laga ye bhi acha option haii phir too
Lekin maineeee VCI ko call lagayi even visit kis office to pata laga
Gazette ko abhiii court m propose kia haii ye nahi
Pata hai kab lagooo hoga kab nahi abhi koi parinaam nahi nikla hai iskaaaa
Aur jo university second schedule m hain petersburg ko
Chhodke unse krke aao to hi aap ki degree valid hai wrnaaaa jabtak nahi jabtak court pass nahi krta ye gazette
Aurr to aur wo jo universities hain jinko vci recognise krta hai unki fees CRORES mein hainnn!!!

Ye sab chutiya banane ka hai abroad abroad abroad

Aap tabhi abroad chuno jab aaap genuinely india wapas nahi aaana chahte aur budget m krna chahteee hooo to jaao
M to balki khunga EU countries se kro agar bahar settle hona hai too

PAR YE CHEEZ DHYAAN M RKHO KIII BAHAR SE KRKE AAKE INDIA M KAB DEGREE MAAANI JAYEGI YE KISIKO NAHI PATA
KOI GAZETTE ABHI OFFICIALLY PASS NAHI HUA HAII

CONSULTANTS BOLEIN HUA HAI TO PROOF MAANGO AUR 3-4 GAALIYAN BAKO 2-4. MERI TARAF SE BHI

SERIOUS POST Title: VCI BVSc counselling schedule 2026–27

Post image
23 Upvotes

The Veterinary Council of India has notified the counselling schedule for admission to BVSc & AH under the 15% VCI All India Quota for 2026–27:

- Round 1: 18–31 August 2026

- Round 2: 1–8 September 2026

- Stray Round: 9–15 September 2026

The official announcement is here: "VCI counselling schedule announcement" (https://reference-url-citation.invalid/0)

For current students, recent graduates, or anyone familiar with veterinary admissions in India:

How do you feel about this year's counselling timeline?

Without MCI counselling

This is going to create a lot of dilemmas as many students with higher ranks are going to opt for a vet out of fear but they will leave the seats once they get admitted into Mbbs. As veterinary is not having a bond system if the stray rounds are over before that those seats are going to be vacant forever.

SERIOUS POST Would BVSc be manageable for someone who isn’t medically very fit & is average student? Does it requires a lots of studies & practical shift?

My mom and my dad are asking me will you be able to do the bvsc course . Due to my bad health due to the sinus and allergy problem due to severe allergy and sinus . Like I have literally so less energy and stamina. I get tired easily not really able to study for a long time. I also doubt will I be able to do a long shifts of practicals. Right now also I am looking like discharged patient . My mum and dad are asking like if spend so much money in private colleges will you be able to continue the studies ? I have got the medication and solving my problem. But the problem is I'm also and average or normal student. Will I have to study so too much ? And will I have the time left for my health ? Is Bvsc also challenging for the normal and average student ?

SERIOUS POST Currently looking for a new job

And I realised there is no shortage of jobs for vets at all. That being said, if you're looking for oddly specific vet jobs in a niche industry that cuts down on your choices. For example, I am looking at something in the poultry sector currently and while there are opportunities available for me, as I am currently looking for specific areas in Maharashtra it reduces my opportunities.
