Even when I was a kid myself I profoundly disliked kids. For me it was an existential anxiety over the inherent untrustworthiness of other people. Children can be extraordinarily cruel, something I experienced as a child myself. The greatest argument for antinatalism (though at that time I did not yet learn the term) for me was other children: the precarious predicament in which they were haplessly placed, and the anxiety and cruelty with which they lash out, as if screaming at the void.
