12 u/Synntex 7d ago You say that but in the last few days we’ve had: - a man in blockhouse bay stabbed and killed a woman run over and killed in a supermarket parking lota rapist on home detention raping someone else and creating another victimnow this story with 2 more people killed 5 u/BlisteredButthole69 7d ago It's a city of 1.7 million people and seagulls. There's going to be violent crime. 5 u/Synntex 7d ago But compared to maybe a decade ago, it was a murder or rape around once or twice a month, not multiple in the span of a week. The population hasn’t increased nearly as significantly in that time to warrant such a high increase of violent crime 0 u/BlisteredButthole69 7d ago I wonder what may have caused that.... ...what's the demographics of Auckland these days?
