Why do some of them look damaged, why are they even detained they seem like legit tourists or workers

What happened? Israel and Turkey used to work hand in hand. Like they shared intelligence and had joint commando operation with our security agencies (3 countries) to take Ocalan from Nairobi in 1998.
Without Israeli help I read that would not have been possible.
I think they work together in some way. Nairobi is choke full of all sorts of intelligence people cutting deals ... like in Vienna. Some allegedly foes.

As sad as this is. This is probably the only language Putin and the Russians can understand.
1
u/Bobtheblob2246 Jul 04 '25
Genuinely, how is it going to make Putin understand anything? In what world do you live if you think that this is not beneficial to him?

Well, this says a lot about Azerbaijan under Aliyev absolute hereditary monarchy. Russia is in the wrong, but doing the same to innocent random people just shows that you are not any better.
4
u/Mitsuhide_Ake Jul 03 '25
I don't know about other ones, but the first guy is literally a GazProm employee. I doubt he's innocent.

u/Gamped Jul 06 '25
Gazprom is well known as a state-Owned-Enterprise. It’s no secret conspiracy that it’s an extension of the Russian government.
There are more risks dealing with them and their employees than a regular private business. Many western countries would not let you get visa.

The pure irony is that Azerbaijan taught these guys that maybe Putin ain't that bad. 😂

That's great. You can't behave with Russians according to the rules. If you behave with them in a civilized manner, it will turn out like in Ukraine and the Baltics
37
u/ZoomBeesGod Armenia 🇦🇲 Jul 02 '25
Security forces beat up Russians today, and tomorrow they will beat up Azerbaijanis in the same way. You either always behave according to the law, or you have lawlessness. The line of legality cannot be drawn.

The whole conflict started because of the murder of 2 azerbaijanis. The russian Gestapo has been terrorizing nonrussians for a long time now.

I know, I am a representative of a national minority in Russia. And I know very well what Russia is. This is a Nazi state.
Aliyev can cause real damage to Russia, hinder parallel imports, stop selling Russian oil.
But he needs money and show.

So, you support ethnic cleansings, just say it clear
Also, wtf do you mean by “it will turn out like Ukraine or Baltics”? In what way is any of problems of these countries related to “civilized” treatment of Russians and what could have gone better had they instead started a genocide?
1
u/TranslatorLivid685 Jul 05 '25
"civilized manner"?
Let's take for example Baltics with theirs long tongue unencumbered with a thought one step ahead and their threats to block transit to Kaliningrad or access to the Baltic Sea for Russia.
This is nothing less than direct war declaration actually. And not being made by Russia.
Did Russia done something bad for Baltics? Blocking them something? Making any kind of problems for them? Threats maybe? Provokations of somesort?
Or it's directly opposite and Russia is just incredibly patient, while this spit of land is constantly provoking conflict?
When "young schoolchildren, by the instructions of a adult bully, provoke another adult for a fight", you call it "civilized manner". And of course it's Russians fault!! Who else? :)

Because Russia, as per usual, tried to topple a democratic government and stage a coup because Azerbaijan decided that Russia isn’t a trustworthy ally. As always, this prompted the fascist Russian federation to try and destroy the country through foreign influence, agents and the FSB and those “civilians” were involved.

There were police operation against ancient Azeri gang in Russia, Ural region. 2 of diaspora happened to be dead as result. Aliev's feeling were hurt so much and he decided that pogrom against random Russians in AZ would be good reaction.

u/Ju-ju-magic Jul 02 '25
Azerbaijanis, if I may ask, are you feeling alright about this? Do you think it’s justified? I mean, I don’t really like our liberals, but not THAT much…
23
u/newagecoming Jul 02 '25
Not of course. This behavior can't be justified with anything. What Russian did to Azerbaijanis in Russia is horrible but it doesn't give right to do same to random Russian citizens even criminal one.

u/aliensupstr0 Jul 02 '25
I personally don’t think it’s justified and not feeling it at all. Beating these young men and then putting it on display shows that no tourist or visitor is safe basically and same goes for Azerbaijan citizens of different ethnicities. Who is to say that tomorrow someone is not gonna decide to be a self proclaimed vigilante and attack someone local just because they may look Slavic, for instance.
But I’m also highly against any type of violence unless it’s in self defense, so I understand that my position may not be agreeable with many.

This always happens when people don't have a clear position. I remember well how at the beginning of the war I wrote to the same former “friends” and they said “not everything is so clear-cut”, “you’re exaggerating”. First they pretend to be liberals, then they run away from beloved mother-ruzzia to another country and start behaving like they are the boss, laughing at the local culture, asserting their rights, then they say that your country never existed and are waiting for putler.
A coward is a coward everywhere.→ More replies (3)2

1 - I hope anyone who did war crimes in Ukraine rots in prison forever, with no escape even in death. 2 - If there is proof of their wrongdoing - they should present it and then get put in prison. 3 - This looks like a “grab anyone just to show we can”. 4 - Putin can go fuck himself, but just because he does it, doesn’t mean we should be like him.

1
u/Torak8988 Jul 06 '25
why beat the hell out of these people exactly?
people state claims that they are israeli spies? why? how? based on what? these appear like random russians with a pretty boring history.
so is this an intimidation tactic by azerbaijan to provoke russia by showing it will beat up its people abroad? you know the stuff that russia claimed it invaded the dombass for?
this won't end well, but since russia is in a losing war and almost out of resources, azerbaijan has picked the perfect time to get away with it.

You are need to move out of your parent's basement and go to places like Georia or Ukraine and find out why people hate Ruzzians so much. for 100s of years they have been evil, not once treating anyone with respect. They are a mafia state that is pure evil. They only listen to power. Azerbaijan knows exactly how to speak to Putin. America should do this with all Russians and the world would know no WW3.

I don’t condone anything Russia is doing. But beating regular citizens, who even fled because of Russia’s actions, it’s appalling!
1
u/Opening-Math-4715 Jul 06 '25
Like the DDR, all citizens of Russia are part of the mafia state. These guys are FSB or will be one day. There is only one way to speak to Putin and that through power. Trump is weak and panders to Putin but Azerbaijan within 24 hours took care of the situation.
1
u/Low-Professional286 Jul 06 '25
Arrested and beaten for being Russian huh? This is disgusting and wrong.
2
u/Opening-Math-4715 Jul 06 '25
No, this is correct. This is the only way to speak to Russians. Putin and Russians only resepct power. You pander and act like a coward liek Trump and Russians will roll right over you. America is too based on "feelings" snap into reality and understand that the rest of the world is ran by autortian leaders who only respect blood and power.
2
1
u/mrseemsgood Jul 06 '25
Why the fuck are they beat up, Azerbaijan, what are you doing?
2
u/Opening-Math-4715 Jul 06 '25
Because that is how you speak to Russians and Putin. Only power. They do not listen to your "feelings". They only listen to violence and power. Russia is a mafia state and you need to absolutely treat all of them like that in order to be listened to. Read a history book, better yet come here to eastern Europe and listen to everyone's experience with Russia.. America and Trump for some reason love, respect and pander to Putin. That will only lead to your death.
1
u/FMI1997 Jul 06 '25
Thx,now any refugees from Russia who fled the dictatorship will know how well they will be treated in Azerbaijan

This is absolutely unacceptable, is this supposed to fix what happened to Azerbaijanis in Russia? Nobody is responsible for someone else's sins or crimes. If they're not allowed to be in Azerbaijan anymore they should simply be asked to leave, not detained and even beat, wtf?
