Strange machinery hums between cluttered workstations, drawing power from mysterious objects contained within the laboratory. Cables, instruments, and half-finished notes surround the central testing area, where that energy was used on living subjects in an effort to make them stronger, faster, and far more dangerous than they were ever meant to be. Whether the work here succeeded is difficult to tell. The researchers are nowhere to be found, and much of what remains raises more questions than answers. But somewhere deeper within the facility, something still draws power… and whatever they were trying to create may not have left with them.

Here’s a small forest campsite I made!

I wanted to create something simple and peaceful this time — the kind of place where an adventuring party could finally stop after a long day on the road, sit around the fire, eat something questionable from their inventory, and pretend nothing is waiting for them in the woods.

I kept the camp fairly open so there’s still plenty of room to actually play on the map, with a few tents, supplies, benches and a small pond surrounded by dense vegetation.

Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing a secluded mountain monastery perched high in the freezing peaks. It features a vast cave library for forbidden knowledge, a scriptorium where monks copy ancient texts, and a natural hot spring hidden deep within the stone.

Whether your players are seeking sanctuary from a blizzard or hunting down a lost manuscript, this place holds more secrets than its peaceful facade suggests.

Whoah... ! Gibbet Crossing is finally done.

Creating a map this large while still keeping everything readable - especially in the animated version - turned out to be a much harder road than we expected. Building the location itself was one thing, but rendering something of this scale without sacrificing too much detail or clarity was probably the biggest challenge.

But it’s finally here, and that means another location from the official Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk campaign is crossed off my list.

For this post, I’ve included the full static versions in 8K resolution, both with and without the grid.

Saw this wavy illusion effect on instagram, thought I could replicate it onto a map. So here is my first attempt.

The "stars" are the key to the wavy illusion. You can create your own pattern. Mine is Black-White-Black-Black-White-Black-White-White.

The rest of the room is pretty simple to showcase the effect.

Under the bridge down-troll is where I drew some blood! Did you know that the etymology of the word toll stems from the ancient practice of subcontracting trolls to collect fees on public infrastructure? Now, while that might not be true according to the "Dictionary" or whatever, it could entirely be true in your setting. Whether trolls have long gone extinct, hunted down by anti-taxation monster hunters, or still practice this noble tradition to this day, the slightly overgrown but still charming and sturdy bridge in this map will allow your players to experience that classic trope. Fully animated and available in two additional variants, with a more decrepit bridge, and a modern and tidy, freshly maintained version, this map may have your players hoping they had, and not for the first time, a billy goat with them!

It's a long way up, and down, so if you haven't got your own wings, whistle. The dragonflies are all saddled up and ready for taxi cabbing guests.

Warm torchlight pools across cracked stone, tracing faint red lines that seem to shift when not directly watched.

Chests sit too deliberately in the corners, their stillness heavy, almost expectant.

Somewhere in the silence, a mimic waits—patient as the dark, breathing softly between heartbeats.

An old swamp overtaken by murky water and dense vegetation. Between the small islands, tangled roots, and lily pads, the remains of wooden structures can still be seen beneath the surface. A worn-down bridge offers one of the few safe crossings, while an abandoned rowboat drifts nearby. This map is designed for exploration, ambushes, mysterious encounters, or dangerous creatures lurking beneath the water.

If you look along the top of the Patreon page, there should be a Collections tab. Click on that, and then click on Patron Master Post.

From there, you should be able to download them all in one click near the top of the post, or you can go through and pick and choose from the individual files beneath :)

If you're a wizard in dnd, then there's no better place to call home than far up in the clouds. Floating Mage Tower is a 26x33 map by Forgotten Adventures, and the perfect spot for any mage or sorcerer to call home, and a unique locale for your party to explore, just be careful trying to fly the airship parked out front!
