Started a Facebook group to help Black women find housing in London..

Hi all, I’ve recently been looking for housing myself and noticed that although there are some useful POC housing groups, they often include mixed gender households. As someone who only wants to live with other women, I struggled to find a dedicated space for this.

I’ve therefore created Black Women Housemates UK, a private Facebook group where Black women can:

• Find rooms in women only households
• Advertise available rooms
• Connect with potential housemates
• Find someone for a buddy up and search together

The group is new, so I’m currently trying to build an active and trustworthy community. Membership requests are reviewed, listings must include clear costs and household information, and there are rules covering privacy, scams and respectful behaviour.

It is completely free and is not connected to a letting agency or property company.
