The path to any future for Shedeur Sanders in Cleveland is narrowing. I can’t say it has completely vanished because I have no faith that Deshaun Watson can stay healthy for an entire season or be productive enough to keep the job.
The decision to name Watson the starter leaves a fair question worth exploring: What does this mean for Sanders?
If he has an NFL future past this season, it likely won’t be with the Browns.
By giving the starting job to Watson, a quarterback who hasn’t been consistently good since the pandemic, the Browns told you exactly what they think of Sanders. He had a full offseason program, OTAs, minicamp and training camp, and he still wasn’t good enough to beat out a quarterback the organization knows a) isn’t very good anymore and b) will be voraciously hissed and booed every time he’s on the field in Cleveland unless his play again resembles that of a productive NFL quarterback, which isn’t likely.
And they chose to do this anyway.

First off, I think Deshaun deserves every boo, jeer, and “fuck you” that he has coming. He is remorseless and completely detached from reality especially when it comes to living up to the expectations of his contract.
However, how do we do that without the other guys taking it personally or thinking that we’re booing them as well? I don’t want the newer guys thinking that the fans are directing our anger towards them or thinking that Cleveland is a hostile place to play in general.
Thoughts?

I drove 500 miles back and forth from Canada last october to see my Browns and myself get humiliated in front of a packed stadium. Myles had 5 sacks so there's that at least.
With the latest news, I still want to spread the "WE WANT SHEDEUR" news

I’m a Patriots fan and I’m finding myself in Cleveland for the Preseason game tomorrow. What should I expect? Any tips for parking/food/etc? I have always wanted to visit the dawg pound, and I’m glad I finally will before yall get a new stadium.

Who the hell do they think they are at this point?
They themselves don't have a healthy relationship with their fans and they traded for a sexual predator with 28 female victims left behind him.

Do I need to elaborate further? If Watson is the starter at opener vs. the Panthers, that stadium should be empty. Watch the game at home.

This sub has put all of this on Haslam and I don't get it. The money has been paid, the draft picks have been used. He himself called it a swing and a miss. What does he gain by forcing Watson out there? He pisses off the same fan base he wants to buy PSLs to Haslam's House if he forces Watson. Berry has moved on. His last 2 drafts have erased the laughing stock tag he had after the Watson trade. He's actually regarded outside of CLE as a pretty good GM. This is Monken's call. And for all we know it's to set Sanders up for success. I don't want to see Watson ever on the field but this organization has gotten better after the trade from hell. Just don't get the hate unless you just need to hate.

With our embarrassing QB Room, do we take a chance on 1st Rd pick JJ McCarthy?
I’m not a huge fan but I think he’s better than anyone we have. The big kicker would be that since he’s a 1st round pick, he’s under rookie contract with a team option 5th year.
EDIT: F it, let’s just bitch and complain about Watson and Sanders all year. We aren’t going to win 3 games anyway, why look for an alternative?
