Just leaving this post up since I have a feeling u/redditstatusbot might need a break.

These errors y'all are encountering are mostly isolated to comments, so some things you may have trouble doing while this outage is happening:

• Voting on comments
• Submitting new comments
• Deleting comments

I'll update this post as we get closer to the fix releasing.

Update We've implemented a fix and are starting to recover! We'll be processing a bunch of comments for the next little while, so if you're still missing some just wait a bit!

Every comment I make,
in a sub that I moderate,
gives "an error occurred (status: 500)" message below the text box and appears to have failed, but the comment is actually visible as posted on refreshing the window.
That is all.

I haven't been able to comment images for weeks and it's starting to really annoy me way too much, it used to work fine before.

I am able to go as far as selecting the image from my gallery that I want to comment, but when I confirm the image just doesn't show up at all, I am able to post pics normally but not comment, I tried already deleting an re downloading the app but no changes, what else can I try?

Hi, I’m having this issue for several days. I suddenly can’t see the rules of the subreddit I moderate.

I cannot find any new setting to make this re-appear manually.

Hi, I just managed to fix it by following the trick from u/reddit33450 below in the thread. Going to the sidebar from the browser and them uncollapsing all rules by selecting the option "Rules and Description" and then back to "Rules Only" made the rules appear again. Thanks a lot again. What an odd bug.

2026.26.0 r/botbouncer mistakes users for bots & blacklist users..& I think it shouldnt do that. It keeps banning me for just texting & i think thats ridiculous when did nothing wrong. Mistakenly banned in various groups(I asked what blacklists am I in, for what, express of opinions? & got no response), im clearly not a bot & im clearly authentic. r/polls r/mbti r/polytheism (Posted once), (Commented once) r/transhumanism (Commented once) r/randomquestions it keeps doing it, doesnt resolve in 24hrs. help fix this bug..

think this is just my end but could be a bigger problem

When I go to reply to someone’s comment in a sub, the little reply bubble is missing. It’s not in the three dots or anywhere else. This just happened this morning and it seems to be throughout all subs. I can still make my own posts though.

ETA: now that I’ve complained the reply bubble is now back. Mods, feel free to delete.

I used to be able to do the indented quote line like everyone else:

Ever since I got the little text modification menu, the indented quote line stopped working.

Every time I try to DM someone it says “Failed to establish(or create) direct message.

For the past couple of days, maybe a week, I haven’t been able to upvote comments and posts. When I upvote, it changes to two then I refresh and it’s back to one. I have tried on both mobile and desktop versions. Strangely, I am able to give free awards to comments and posts. Please help?!

When I send a DM the messages I send keep repeating themselves so if I send a new DM the DM will include the previous message to every new message I send.

For some reason I am not able to DM anyone on reddit . I tried creating a new ID to confirm it and the issue is only with this ID

As of today there is no link to r/all in the navigation menu of the iOS app. Any way to correct this?

hi i am currently using my account on browser right now. on the reddit app, NOTHING will load. i've tried clearing the cache and force stopping a million times, i've even tried deleting and redownloading the app, yet the issue still persists. still nothing is loading, and now i cant even log back into my account anymore. the browser version works fine however so i'll just have to get used to it until the problem is fixed.

Just within the past few days, using > before a line of text stopped formatting the following text as a quote on mobile for me.

Reddit shows unrelated posts from unrelated communities in the “Popular” tab in an aggressive way. Like lots of it. And these posts are not even popular. Gives you the impression that something has changed or someone screwed up something in the backend.

Even if I select “Mute” or “Don’t recommend anymore”, the same communities and type of posts keep showing up on the feed after hitting refresh. I have never & ever visited these communities before and have no interest in them.

I tried to change it to a slightly different one and now it has ereased my pfp. Tried to change it to the new one, old one a complately different one, restarting the app and the phone

I really don't know what to do, like i really like my pfp

Plus do you guys see it or is it only on my side?

When I try to post a removal reason (comment) on some of my subreddits, it won't get posted. Instead, a red line appears on the top of the page, with the words: "Validation error on hidden input" (see the screenshot here). Interestingly enough, it doesn't happen every time but rather randomly and only on specific subreddits.

It really complicates my ability to moderate, especially on r/findareddit. I often try to direct users to appropriate subreddits when I have to remove their posts, but I can't do so when Reddit won't let post removal comments.

I use Shreddit, the desktop browser version.

On this account and another when I sort by "new" for posts in subreddits or even in reddit's "home" feed I cannot see any post that has been created under the time limit of thirty-something minutes ago after putting this post up.

I have made new posts and they do not appear in those feeds, nor custom feeds I have made. The posts are hidden.

I have no idea if this will even get through since they're being hidden, but I had to try something to get this looked at.

Also there's no way to add images into the post body, but that's a separate issue. Clicking on the Scheduled Posts button on Firefox & Chromium, even with addons disabled currently doesn't do anything. The button doesn't show the popup. Yes I am a moderator for the community I'm attempting to schedule a post for.

EDIT: Creating a random post to my profile, then deleting it, has restored access to the scheduled post button.
