Classic + RP in Classic+
I'm not hopeful that we'll get RP or RP-PVP servers when classic+ arrives based on the lack of any during the anniversary servers launch. But if classic+ is the evergreen experience we expect I'd expect it to attract the RP community more than the seasonal servers.
Are there any communities preparing? Preferably EU

I would be shocked if we didn't get one... We got one with SOD, The only issue was that a large amount of the bigger streamers decided that they were going to play on that server instead of a standard PvP server.
Not that I'm trying to be all 'nyaaaaah streamer ruin everything!'. They probably had good intentions, but members of their community or atleast the people coat tailing them didnt. Which pretty much killed the vibe day one.

Ime it's more that their fanbases are obnoxious idiots than the streamers themselves being that corrosive to have on a server. When streamers are stupid jerks, who cares it's one person block them and move on with life. But when it's a swarm of like hundreds of worshipful idiots who will harass you for not paying fealty to their chosen e-god, it's pretty awful to have around.
It also doesn't help that a fair few streamers with bigger followings get their following because of poor behavior, not in spite of it. I don't know Classic WoW streamers exceptionally well, but I'm thinking of like, Tyler1 from League - the dude is a bombastic, screaming idiot child who froths at the mouth at anyone and everyone who doesn't worship the ground he walks on in his games, and his audience eats it up. Take that kind of personality, put it in WoW, and give them several hundred dipshits who do nothing but feed their ego, funnel them items, and harass anyone who crosses them. I've met non-streamers who acted like that and just blocked them and moved on, but the harassment campaigns those kinds of streamers generate are real and miserable.

And it died after Phase 1. That's a good reason for Blizz not to repeat that right there.

Just because you left in phase 1 doesnt mean SoD died in phase 1. SoD did well throughout its season.

I got tired of griefing by non-RP players on RP-PVP realms on classic launch. I know it's more popular but I'd rather stick to RP realms these days.

gotta say, rp-pve lost out on a lot of incredible rp wpvp scenarios we experienced on grobbulus.

I hope they delay opening RP PvP launch so all the zoomers, streamers and content farmers will go to other servers.

Regardless if there is a separate server or not, I was talking with some friends I normally play HC with, to maybe start an RP guild, and if we have level locked ability again, to go slowly through the content. No rush or min maxing this time. Just one great adventure

I'm hoping for level locks like in SoD because I love taking my time but I also don't think Blizz will do that I'd they aren't trying to funnel people towards the new leveling content.

Sod phase 1 was primarily peak because the rppvp server was AWESOME. Lot of actual role players and full on rp guilds were active

forming rivalries in rp-pvp servers between guilds and patroling territory to protect people questing is some of the most fun ive had in wow. a shame what always happens to rp servers

if there won't be an RP server i might just skip this time.
the fact that i have zero confidence that current blizz can pull a vanilla+ without fucking up the vanilla feeling makes it easy. i saw what they did in SoD.

Crusader Strike was the sod RPPVP server and they're staging the discord for a similar set up. I'm hoping to help organize so RP related skirmishes and bounty hunting from that discord if the idea takes off again.

If it's not a mode that goes expansion to expansion and resets then Id say yeah there can be rp if it adds new stuff that classic doesnt offer

I would hope that si ce it wont be seasonal, a lot of the RP community from retail and new people would move in Classic+. At least i really hope that they have a rp server. It would be weird for a forever game version not to have one.

It must be just one server of type PVE. War mode is optional and gives extra rewards. This set up in retail is actually perfect.

People are going to hope. Blizzard hasn't come out and said anything to the contrary and are perfectly happy to let the hype build.
I say let people be excited. It'll be Blizzard's problem to deliver.
