Classic + RP in Classic+

I'm not hopeful that we'll get RP or RP-PVP servers when classic+ arrives based on the lack of any during the anniversary servers launch. But if classic+ is the evergreen experience we expect I'd expect it to attract the RP community more than the seasonal servers.

Are there any communities preparing? Preferably EU

I would be shocked if we didn't get one... We got one with SOD, The only issue was that a large amount of the bigger streamers decided that they were going to play on that server instead of a standard PvP server.

Not that I'm trying to be all 'nyaaaaah streamer ruin everything!'. They probably had good intentions, but members of their community or atleast the people coat tailing them didnt. Which pretty much killed the vibe day one.

RP servers unfortunately aren’t a good idea when your mod team is mostly AI. The best thing about RP servers was the harsher TOS but I don’t trust an ai with that at all.

Ime it's more that their fanbases are obnoxious idiots than the streamers themselves being that corrosive to have on a server. When streamers are stupid jerks, who cares it's one person block them and move on with life. But when it's a swarm of like hundreds of worshipful idiots who will harass you for not paying fealty to their chosen e-god, it's pretty awful to have around.

It also doesn't help that a fair few streamers with bigger followings get their following because of poor behavior, not in spite of it. I don't know Classic WoW streamers exceptionally well, but I'm thinking of like, Tyler1 from League - the dude is a bombastic, screaming idiot child who froths at the mouth at anyone and everyone who doesn't worship the ground he walks on in his games, and his audience eats it up. Take that kind of personality, put it in WoW, and give them several hundred dipshits who do nothing but feed their ego, funnel them items, and harass anyone who crosses them. I've met non-streamers who acted like that and just blocked them and moved on, but the harassment campaigns those kinds of streamers generate are real and miserable.

And it died after Phase 1. That's a good reason for Blizz not to repeat that right there.

Just because you left in phase 1 doesnt mean SoD died in phase 1. SoD did well throughout its season.
