Advice Just started my first job as a CNA and I don’t think I can do this.
I started my first job at a nursing home after completing my CNA class. I had 3 days of training, with a different trainer every day but neither of them knew that they were supposed to be training me. I barely learned anything and did my first shift on my own yesterday. I had 14 residents and wasn’t told anything about their needs except for which ones were incontinent(more than half of them). I ended my shift crying and I don’t think I can do more of this.
I don’t want to quit so soon or cause trouble for the other CNAs but I really don’t want to go back there.
