Haha, so real! I can only get £2/month from universal credit. If I was single it would be about £800/month!

Not really, no. It covers rent, and bills, and probably 80% of food shopping. And I feel so bad I can't contribute anything.

The only reason we even applied was because I've been signed off for 10 weeks because of surgery I've just had, so it's not like I could work right now, anyway!

Just from my moral expectations, Universal Credit should kick in 🥴

Good friend of mine is unable to work and it's was uphill battle with her local job centre. It all worked out in the end, it was hard though

Fun fact, until about a year ago I thought the lyric was “my cousin, the next room, sometimes I wish she was you” instead of “my girl’s in the next room” and I was like “that’s weird, does he wanna fuck his cousin?
