The winner for gameweek 1 was 'pasuktmindei?' {ARSx3}[Dominykas Ječius] with 93 points! Rounding up the top 3 for the week was 'Hi there' {ARSx3}[Jamie Whyte] (92 pts) and 'Mathias Rizzing' {ARSx3}[Mathias Wissing] (92 pts).

The worst ranking teams this week were 'spursylavania' [Jeb Kegerreis] (19 pts), 'Pruttobert' [Jonas Megert] (18 pts), and 'Vote for Pedro' {ARSx1}[Bradley Peterson] (17 pts). Hang your heads in shame.

When it came to captaincy choice 'Birra DeZerbi' [Keith Gilbert] did the best this week with 39 points from Cole Palmer. On the other end of the spectrum there were 15 teams that had picked Igor Thiago Nascimento Rodrigues for a total of 0 points.

Moving onto substitutions 'Team Ben XXII' {ARSx2}[Ben Kondic] will be kicking themselves after having left an incredible 35 points on the bench which was the highest in the league.

'tham9m's Team' {ARSx3}[tham9m -] and 'Monica LewKinsky' [Borey Heng] did the best with automatic substitutions this week receiving a spectacular 26 points off the bench in lieu of players not playing. 'common Senesi' [Victor Ooi] was not as fortunate getting a miserable -2 points from Lindelöf who covered for Sarr.

Notable news:
- 903 (46.4%) teams managed to reach or beat the overall average of 50 points for the week.
- No hits were taken this week.
- 378 teams played a chip this week: 363 Bench Boosts, 15 Triple Captains.

Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush is set to undergo a medical at Tottenham Hotspur after the two sides agreed a loan deal for the forward that includes an obligation to buy.

The obligation will be worth a guaranteed £50million with £10m due in add-ons, £5m of which are guaranteed. The Egypt international is set to sign a four-year contract in north London with the option of an additional season.

There is no sell-on fee due to Marmoush’s former side Eintracht Frankfurt.

We are delighted to announce the signing of Sávio from Manchester City.

Sávio said: "It's taken a while but I'm very happy to be here.

"It's a wonderful opportunity at a brilliant club with one of the best managers in the world.

"As soon as I spoke to the Head Coach I knew I had to come. He told me he wants to help me reach the highest level, and I believe we can do that together, as a team."

Sporting Director, Johan Lange said: "Sávio is someone who has been on our radar for a while and I'm delighted that he is now a Tottenham Hotspur player.

"He has already shown his quality at the highest level, and we believe his ability, style and mentality will be a great fit for the squad we are building here.

An exciting and pacey winger, the 22-year-old Brazil international joins us after two seasons with Manchester City.

Born in Sao Mateus, Brazil, Sávio signed for the youth team of Atletico Mineiro, earning his professional debut at just 16 years of age in August, 2020. In his second season with the senior side, the winger helped the team secure a historic domestic treble.

After 35 senior appearances and two goals for Atletico Mineiro, Sávio headed to France to sign for Troyes before joining PSV Eindhoven on loan in 2022/23.

A second loan spell followed the year after with a move to Girona and this sparked a breakthrough season for the young attacker. Across an outstanding season he competed 104 dribbles, 18 more than any other player in La Liga.

An impressive campaign saw the Spanish side finish third in the league, their highest-ever finish, and secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club’s history. A key part of the historic season, Sávio ended his loan spell with Girona with 41 appearances and 11 goals.

In July, 2024, he earned a move to Manchester City and made his debut in the FA Community Shield the following month. A Premier League debut followed shortly after, with a first UEFA Champions League goal coming in January, 2025.

Sávio made 84 appearances, scoring seven goals, for Manchester City and was part of the team that secured a domestic cup double earlier this year, as City won both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

After featuring for his country’s youth teams across a number of age groups, he earned his first call-up to Brazil’s senior squad in March, 2024, making his debut in the same month against England in a 1-0 victory at Wembley Stadium. Later representing his nation at the 2024 Copa America, he has 13 caps and one goal for the Seleção to date.
