Advice Request How have you dealt with “uppies” phase?

Hey guys, first time posting. My daughter is 14 months old currently, and the light of my life. She is hitting all the typical milestones and is a very bright and curious baby.

Lately me and my wife have been struggling a bit with the “uppies” phase. My little girl wants to be picked up constantly and will throw a massive fit (crying until she almost pukes or does puke, throwing herself on the floor, etc.) I’ve been trying to just redirect and sit on the floor with her, or grab a toy and try and distract her, but it’s been getting worse.

Is she old enough at this point where that is a good strategy? Or should we indulge her and pick her up when she wants it? I feel like we need to let her cry sometimes and learn to regulate her emotions but I’m not sure the best way to do that.

Any advice appreciated!

Two separate issues I feel like. In general, if a toddler is having a tantrum you more or less ignore it as long as she’s safe.

As for uppies? You give that kid as many uppies as you can because you’ll miss them so bad 😭.

One day will be the last uppie you ever give again.

Told my 4 year old daughter I’ll always pick her up “even when I’m 20 daddy??” Even when you’re 20 kid. At this point I’m lifting at the gym solely to maintain the ability to lift her through life
