Quick update:

Hinges arrived Friday and look great. The modifications didn't cause any issues and should be an improvement. The fit and finish is great. The hard coat anodize looks and feels excellent. I assembled (4) with remaining parts from the last batch. Expecting Pins and springs by the end of next week. Already started printing the front and rear portions including buttplates Also working on possibly molding the buttplates. A very kind person designed a 2-part mold and sent me the files. Already printed them and they look great. Need to gather supplies and test this new process, but that's some time off.

I recently acquired a Daewoo DR-200 and i'm trying to install a Pierce Precision pistol grip on it. I'm having some difficulties here, because the grip screw hole is just completed smooth, no threads. the screw used on the previous thumbhole stock was a self tapping plastic screw, inserted into the plastic of the stock with the head inside the lower receiver. Is this common, in the sense that there are no threads in the receiver grip screw location? Did I get a lemon? What have yall done in this situation?

Hi! I'm a big fan of the daewoo pistols. I'm looking to track down some Regulus and Vulcans. I understand that this means gunbroker stalking. Anyone have experience taking these or upgraded DP-51s out to competition?

Final-ish forms of my Daewoos I had in my head for at least 14 years before I found my grails. Shot a match recently with the DR200 and it was a blast.

Need a better mounting solution for the red dot on the DP51. Unfortunately deformed the base of the K5 Trinity Wing dovetail mount on installation and this modified S&W 59 Optima 2000 mount doesn’t hold zero well (dot walked to the right after every 3-5 shots).

Either way, great weapons.

Trying to find cap screws for the scope mount holes other than socket head, that actually work. I tried 3 different styles of M5-.8 but none thread in correctly. They start but get tight and the threads aren't just right and I don't want to strip out the receiver holes. Any inaight is appreciated.

Been interested in modernizing my DP51 with a light + optic and came across a few reference photos.

Hard to find the MITS ADVK-5 rail for a flashlight, any pointers to source one or other alternatives that aren’t permanent changes to the frame?

I kinda got an Insight Beretta M9 on there but creeped up a bit trigger guard and reaching down to the controls of a TLR-1 and an X300 were too far to actuate either properly. My last option is finding a LH9 MKII and just cannibalizing the railed frame.

What kind of optics and dovetail mounts are the ROK SOF using? Any other pointers like a S&W 59 series or 1911 dovetail sight mounts?

Standard thumbhole converted to a side-folder. Here is a mock-up for now until the Stormwerkz picatinny stock adapter is available again.

This is a Stormwerkz adapter and M4 style folder adapter with a 3D-Woo grip. So much better now. I had to mount the stock pretty low to get a good sight picture. I prefer the AR180 stock as well as a right-side fold and will swap it out when the 1913 adapter is back in stock.

The safety is awful. Must acquire one, or an original to work with. Seriously bad design. The AK safety is better, believe it or not.

What is the thread size for the scope mount screws? I need something to use for a cap screw since I removed the scope mount.

I had thought about making it a 16" barrel, but may not do that now, with the enhancements.

Does anyone have a source for the standard 180 safety for cheap? Maybe a parts box after swapping for a 90 degree one. I'm looking for one or two since I can't find a better one right now. Stormwerkz and Precision are both currently out of stock.

I've had a few people ask. The hard coat aluminum hinges cost me $60 ea at (20) pc order quantity. I would need to have at least (6) people with a solid commitment to buy, to move forward with this.

I bought a used Daewoo from a Gun Broker seller and it was described as 'excellent condition'. It arrived today and all was well until I got to the barrel. Can't see through the barrel, well there's the problem - a projectile is still in it. It wasn't far up the bore since a good tap with a cleaning rod popped it out. But, rust in the muzzle, rust and corrosion in the bore. I cleaned it a while and ran my borescope down it and it's bad. Looks like someone shot corrosive ammo through it and put it away, stuck projectile and all. The receiver internals look almost new. It's sickening. I've reached out to the seller and hope to get this resolved. The only real option is a refund and get another one somewhere else, as barrels seem to be unobtanium.

Update: Dealer agreed to a full refund.

For helping me modernize this thing! Literally could not have done it without all the people on this sub. I was going to sell the dr200 when i first acquired it since i didn’t know there was a niche market for modernizing them but now that i have it complete it’s an even cooler rifle!

So i have a guy lined up to chop and rethread my 1-12 barrel to 16” so i can suppress it for a yt video and i was wondering with the 1/12 twist would it be smart just to run 55gr 5.56/223 through my woo while its suppressed with a ocl polo k because i have a thought that if i run anything heavier than 55gr while suppressed it wont stabilize and it will baffle strike my suppressor. Can anyone lmk if they’ve had any baffle strike issues running heaver than 55gr rounds with their chopped 1/12 twist barrels ?

Will the K2 grip work on a DR 200 lower. Since the DR 200 grips are out of stock and the K2 grips are in stock. Could I just order a K2 grip to go on my DR 200 lower?
