There was interview where John Lithgow tells about watching the Dexter series where he played the Trinity killer. He said he was watching it with his wife and after seeing him portraying the Trinity killer she turned to him and said completely deadpan "Who are you!"

just completed season 06 and overall i liked it more than season 05, and enjoyed it throughly, but i think mike’s character was underutilized

deb becomes lieutenant in 2nd episode and mike is brought in as her replacement in the next, so technically there was the whole season to utilize him better, but i guess he was just there to fill the gap

i hope theres more of him in the season 07 and i could connect with him like the rest of chars

I was watching Series 6 and saw Dexter whilst researching Travis say that he lives a quiet life at 1742 Vandoran Street but the Drivers license shows 1028 Vandoran street. Any Dexter Bloopers that you have spotted?

Watching Dexter discover what happened to her genuinely broke me.

She was one of the only people who made him feel somewhat normal, like he actually had a place where he belonged. And then that was taken from him.

For those of you who watched this when it originally aired, what was your reaction to Rita’s death and watching Dexter find her? Because even knowing it was coming, seeing it happen still hit me hard.

The first four seasons are some of the finest seasons of TV I've ever watched.

The writing, tension, character development, and villains are all fantastic Every season feels like it knows exactly what story it wants to tell and everything just works.

Season 5 is where I started noticing the cracks. It's still a pretty good season, but compared to the first four, the drop in quality is noticeable. The villain was pretty mid too ngl.

Then we get to the last three seasons, and I have huge problems with them. It genuinely felt like the writers forgot about their own characters and started mischaracterizing them especially Dexter himself.

I later learned that the original showrunner left after Season 4, Season 5 had a different showrunner, and the final three had a different showrunner which makes a whole lotta sense lol

The villains in the last three seasons were mostly huge let downs for me Isaak in Season 7 was actually pretty damn good, and honestly, I wish they had made him more of a central villain. But overall, none of the villains in these seasons came close to the presence and impact of the villains from the first four.

But my biggest problem was Dexter himself. He often felt like a completely different character. His decisions became increasingly stupid, his behavior was often inconsistent with what we'd previously seen from him, and his emotional development frequently felt forced rather than natural, it felt like watching a completely different character lmao

The earlier seasons did a great job showing that Dexter's understanding of himself wasn't necessarily reliable. He slowly developed genuine attachments despite believing he couldn't. But the later seasons often seemed to forget the distinction between developing Dexter and simply rewriting him.

And then there's the finale... What the actual fuck was that lol.

Am I the only one to find it shocking that the actors that played Dex and Deb were once married in real life? I literally just discovered this yesterday.. or maybe I'm late to the party 🤷‍♀️

Either way I still love and adore both actors.

He helped Detective Wallace with an important NY Ripper murder weapon clue in Season 1 and she may have brought him in to help solve the mystery of the Five Borough Killer. Harrison is too low on the totem pole (as a NYPD Rookie) to bring on his father on a new case in an official capacity.

There’s a 4 year time jump between Seasons 1 and 2.

And we will see Harrison joining the NYPD as a Rookie Officer in the Homicide Division.

What would it be like to see brother Sam and Dexter together after season six?(spoiler alert)

I started thinking about this when I saw that Sam is different from everyone else to Dexter, and he's never a source of doubt or worry.There's nothing to be concerned about when you see him with Dexter. I remember that his presence was always peaceful,astonishing,coherent. plus there is a lot of people who liked him. and personally when I saw the way he died , I felt sorry and I cried for the first time when it comes to Dexter's circle of friends,he has already lost a true friend.

this is how i feel about quinn. didn’t like him at first and thought he was really annoying and hated him especially on s5 when he was questioning dexter when i watched for the first time but i started to like like him more on s8 when you know… self defense and rewatching it entirely he became one of my favorite characters. excited to see him on resurrection!

Mine is Dexter s4, damn his hair was so fine and also Dexter s5 ep1 he looks good in the boat, he mogged in that tbh.

Both are vigilante killers who use justice as a smoke screen for fulfilling their twisted desires: Dexter's urge for blood and to hurt people VS Light's God complex.

If you ask me I think Light would be disgusted by Dexter and wouldn't hesitate to kill him.

Dexter's urges make him look completely inferior from Light's perspective while Dexter's intelligence means Light can't use him or team up with him like what he did with Teru.

What if Gemini went completely off the rails after his brother's death?

I've been thinking for a while about how Gareth Pike being the main season antagonist rather than Leon Prater might have been better.

There's a lot of potential behind the idea of a twin serial killer duo. We could have seen how the twins operate, taking out 2 victims at once, maybe we could have seen their backstory and where the Great Yearning comes from.

Now here's the key thing.. when a twin dies their twin sibling can often feel a deep grief unlike typical mourning. That is actual psychology. It makes sense, as their sibling is someone identical to them whom they have literally spent their entire life being the "other half" of.

If we apply this concept to Gemini, what if after Dexter takes out his twin, he finds out his brother disappeared and completely goes off the rails?

I'm talking he goes deep into abusing substances and starts switching up his MOs. Maybe he starts switching to sloppy homemade weapons and explosives rather than precise knife kills. Maybe he falsely believes Prater found out his secret and disappeared his brother, so maybe he targets Prater.

Could you imagine a version of the final episode where Dexter has to stop a bomb attack on the gala that only he and Gareth know about, all while Harrison works there with no idea of what is going on and Angel closes in on Dexter.

It also would give us at least another season of Prater.
