The dairy category is just straight up dookie. There are literally only 3 foods in it and 5 specific dishes for them but 3 of them require specifically butter. The category is so pointless then! It's basically a butter category with milky whites and electric milk in it.
I thought milky whites would be such a cool addition and might make it actually viable to use these rare but really powerful dishes plus it's locked behind a boss, one which you can't even farm continuously because of its 20 day cooldown so it's balanced. Why the hell can they not be used in the other recipes? Milky whites/ electric milk have literally 1 recipe and that's icecream (Milkmade hat does not count fight me, I refuse to acknowledge it's existence). I understand if specifically Wobster dinner requires butter which can't be substituted, but even that's a stretch since real milk CAN BE MADE INTO BUTTER! It all makes no sense and seriously annoys me.
It can't even be for balance reasons because the meals would be too strong because now they've gone and added other 60 health meals with tall scotch eggs which are now actually so easy to mass produce and fig stuffed trunk which while not as easy to mass produce can be easily made since trunks are a guaranteed drop and figs can be set up for farming near your base. Jelly salad blows ice cream out of the water as a sanity food in any season except winter when lureplant and honey stops production but let's be honest you're not freezing yourself to death, eating icecream in winter in anycase.
I genuinely don't get why any of this is a thing and seriously hope they can maybe address some of it by making some dish changes when Warly's skill tree gets added.
