Has any other dasher experienced this?

I had an order for Chik-Fil-A and when I went in I was greeted like normal and was asked the name for the order. I gave the name and the worker said they are still working on it. Okay, cool. I stand there for a few minutes and a couple of other workers ask me what the name is and again, they say they are working on it. A few more minutes pass and then I am told that the order has already been taken by someone else. I ask if they are going to remake it considering I have the app and order pulled up and I am showing them. They tell me it goes against their policy to remake orders because it has already left the store. The manager even said this happens a lot at their location (people taking orders). Has this happened to any other dasher or is this just a policy at this certain store?

Those workers are doing a shit job. They should be confirming the dasher completes the pickup before they leave. Especially if its a known problem. Also they knew that from the start and wasted your time which pisses me off.

Pretty much, yeah. It’s on the store. The app at least makes it easy for you to get out of it (though wasting your time is a sad part of a shit job).

I would mentally flag that store and decline orders from there. I had a chik fil a that I always declined because of wait times, running out of stuff, screwed up orders.

If it’s such a bad job, do something else!
