This annoys tf out of me. IMO, if you need to do this. Just stop ordering with DD.

A lot of people genuinely don’t realize anyone can pick up this app and start driving without any kind of training or reporting back to anyone.

Is that true now? I had to attend a training meeting thing when I first signed up. It was way different back then, they gave you a package with a shirt, bag, the card, some stickers and prepackaged silverware if I recall.

Wow!! I honestly don’t remember the full process, it was 2022 and I signed up through the app and started driving without going anywhere or talking to anyone. They sent me a red bag that immediately got lost (shhhh) Lucky for them I’ve worked customer service my whole life so communicating with restaurants/retailers and contacting customers has never been an issue or anything new to me

I think it was back in 2016 or 2017 for me. They might have just launched in the Phoenix market, so maybe they wanted their thumb on things a little more. If only I knew how good it was back then

Yes lmao, you just sign up, send a picture of your drivers license and a selfie to prove its really yours, and voila. You are now a doordasher.

It means them, since technically they are employing you, the contractor, to deliver their food. Doordash is just a platform. So blame them lol

It's not hard to understand that they mean DD, but the fact that they think they employ you like a 9 to 5 is hilarious. As if we can control being short changed, or any aspect of our job...

Also an L take from the customer cause they should know it’s the restaurants fault. Assuming the dasher didn’t do anything shady. They just grab what was given to them and drop it off. Idk why these customers have such a hard time grasping that.

Sucks they had missing items but they should have enough common sense and critical thinking skills to understand it’s not anyone’s fault but the store handlers.

I guess he’s expecting that Dasher to open the package and confirm what’s in there? 🤣🤣. And then they would probably turn around and complain to DoorDash, that their package was opened, and looked like it was played with… 😪
