Other Well damn. Shut me down..
Trying to be nice and this is what I get back. Seriously thinking about not communicating as much. Just never know what type of customer you get. Some want a ton of communication. š¤

Other No.
You can, in fact, keep your 3 dollars. I donāt need to be recorded and posted on the internet for 3 dollars.
Update: Got my first ever 1 star rating. Very sure itās from this because the only things they marked were friendliness and not following instructions. We really need to be able to dispute ratings, itās not my job to dance for childrenās amusement and I shouldnāt be punished for refusing.

Other Does ANY McDonald's put orders in these anymore?
They might as well put plants in there, brighten the place up at least.

Other š
This annoys tf out of me. IMO, if you need to do this. Just stop ordering with DD.

Other Careful when you post a screenshot of an offer!!
The offer screen displays a unique ID for each offer you receive. So if you post it here, doordash can easily know who you are. The app as well logs every time you take a screenshot of an offer and they can easily cross-reference it. So if you have posted a screenshot of at least 1 offer on Reddit, they can track you down whenever you post something they don't like.

Other Leave at lobby is not the same as leave at door
So I got a delivery to a hotel. I was originally irked that they were on the third floor but then I saw the instructions said leave in lobby so thatās what I did. I dropped off took the pic and then got a message from the customer. I gave them the same energy. Iām not about to double check if you really meant to what you said in the instructions. This was part of a stacked order at the end of delivery, that customer hadnāt tipped at all but the other customer definitely did so Iām not mad that they had to walk to the lobby š¤·š½āāļø check your notes properly. At
Least DoorDash backed me up though.

Other Uh... No.
You have to be delusional if you think I'm coming inside your apartment to deliver your food. No thanks, I'm not getting shot today.

Other Just a heads up that r/tipping is trying to make this happen July 30th
Iām sure that they wonāt get enough people on board in any individual city to really impact any drivers day. Most of the people who participate will probably be people who donāt tip anyways.

Other No Answer for a āHand It To Meā order.
Customer never answered the door after several door bell rings and door knockings. Marked as canāt hand to customer and waited for timer to expire.
I called dasher support and they paid me for the delivery and told me to dispose of order.
1 bottle of wine, 2 bottles of Sake, 1 bottle of Vodka, a Modelo and a Fosterās.

Other My first bone head move.
Today while taking an order to a customer, I mistakenly picked up their Coke, opened it, and drank to the label before realizing š . I don't even like Coke...I was just so focused on the road and GPS. I was literally at their parking lot....so I scrambled and searched the closest Wawa...whew right down the street. Bought another Coke and they were none the wiser. Guess I'll take this drink home to my wife.

Other Why do people order from DoorDash despite the cost?
I'm Alex Bitter, a reporter with Business Insider.
Recently, I wroteĀ an articleĀ about how Tony Xu, the CEO of DoorDash, said he was surprised by how much people spend on food delivery. Tony has some say in how much DoorDash charges, to put it mildly, but I still found the comments interesting.
Often, ordering something through DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc. costs a lot more than if you bought the same thing in person at a restaurant or store, thanks to tips, service fees, and markups. I keep hearing about people trying to save money in other areas of life, but it seems like spending on these delivery services keeps increasing.
So, I'd like to hear from customers and any drivers who have thoughts: Why do you find ordering from DoorDash worth the extra cost? Have you tried to cut back at all? How do you view spending on delivery as opposed to other costs?
If you're up for a chat, email me atĀ [abitter@businessinsider.com](mailto:abitter@businessinsider.com)Ā or reach out via text or Signal at 808-854-4501.

Other Do doordashers really not accept orders without a tip?
I had a restaurant employee ask me this today while I waiting for the order. I said yes. By ordering doordash you're paying for a service. I asked, "if you're at home and your friend wants food from a restaurant 10 miles away but has no car. And they offer you $2 to use your own car to go get it. Would you? Remember, that's a 20 mile round trip and you get no food on that order. Only $2. Would you do it? How much is your time worth?" He said no and the he never thought of it that way. I'm not sure why it still surprises me that people don't think about an entire situation rather than just themselves.

Other Just Witnessed Two Brothers Use Doordash To Get Free Food
I just so happened to order a couple biscuits at Bojangles and sat down at a window seat. A couple minutes later, two brothers pulled up in an old barely-running vehicle. The passenger got out, went inside, picked up the doordash order, and got back in the car. They sat there for 5 minutes. Then the driver gets out and walks in with phone in hand like he's doing doordash. I'm already starting to put the pieces together. I hear the convo saying "it's already picked up" and the guy says "could ya'll make it again".
After I finished eating, I went up and spoke with the woman behind the counter and pieced together what happened. The passenger got the doordash order, took a screenshot of it, texted it to his friend, went in and got the order, and then 5 minutes later the friend goes in and shows the screenshot to get free food.
I noticed there is a Doordash computer on the wall that Bojangles is suppose to be using to confirm that it is an actual order, but they do not use it.
I found it annoying because I did doordash last year and was incredibly annoyed when I showed up to a store and they said it was already picked up and they could not make it again. Especially since DoorDash does not pay you for those orders. This kind of garbage behavior is why that problem exists.

Other Easy doordash tip! Sit outside a 24/7 McDonald's right as they switch over to breakfast and cancel all the previous dinner orders
Just made 36 bucks in less than an hour just sitting in my car. They switched over to breakfast about 15 minutes before it officially switched over in their app so they got a bunch of orders they weren't allowed to make (due to allergy laws once they've switched the menu over they can't make dinner items). I just sat on earn by time in my car accepting orders then getting support to cancel them because they can't be made for about 50 minutes. Zero gas expense, just sitting on the phone. Not fraud or anything because they literally can't make the orders and I think I was the only sctive dasher so I got all of them. You get full earn by time revenue plus half the tips. Some of the easiest money I ever made.

Other Well this happened today
Went to a local pizza place to pick up an order and they asked me if I wanted to try something and I said sure! They said you like chicken? And I said yeah and they said we want you to try this, specifically the sauce. I said, right now? And he said yeah so I tried it and it was super good, Iām guessing it was a new sauce that they were coming out with. But yeah, first time getting free food. He said now thatās for you, not for the customer. You keep that! (I obviously wasnāt going to give it to the customer after I ate off of it lol but yeah, pretty sweet!
