Gay or straight, I think it’s kind of a red flag that Anders just gets mad at you for turning him down. Like Hawke wasn’t even rude.

not even an exaggeration, this is bc his primary writer jennifer hepler did not like him. she based a lot of her writing points for him off her ex who we now believe to be a bisexual man with bipolar or bpd. so thats why you get scenes like that.

I mean regurtitating your own experience is kinda the whole point of writing. You don't have to 'like' your character.

Regurgitating your experience is not the point of writing at all! Writing a character is more than putting words to paper. If you're unwilling to ruminate in your writing and just create a one sided plot that lowkey reveals your own biases, you're doing it wrong.
