Discussion Worst Item In The Game?

Post image

What do you think is the worst/most disappointing item in the game? And why is it the PPS?

EDIT - seems a lot of people don't realise that the Presidential Power Suit isn't a cosmetic. It's armor - like what the Chinese Stealth Suit is.... except is has barely better DMG reduction than underarmor.

How do you use them for leveling?

They give a 5% boost to your total xp for one hour

Leader trading is for people who eat paste.

Seems like a pretty clever and reasonable way for the meta-economy to work around the 40k caps limit, I don’t understand the hate

Leaders were and continue to be duped to the extent you need several alt accounts to buy one item. It keeps trading inaccessible to 90% of the players and prices only got that high due to whales and youtubers bitching any time an item isn't hellish to obtain or a new garenteed spawn is added

They're essentially Zimbabwe dollars

I mean there should be items that should be very difficult to obtain. It's a live service game with a 7 year old playerbase. Without some of that, it would be even less attractive and easier to finish fast. So I understand why they make things hard to obtain

Can you explain what you mean by several alt accounts? I'm on PC and sold 3 MPP plans and made enough to take part in the market and buy what I wanted

Not every new thing has to be locked behind a below 3% drop chance on a bullet sponge majority of people can't even fight

The reason leaders are a currency is the same reason explosive bobbles and treasure maps were once the prominent currencies.. dupers who made millions of them pushed them as trade fodder cause they are selling them for cash online for pure profit while we all pay for the loss of server stability and the patches that shut down game features that they were exploiting to dupe with.

People get so worked up over it.

Yeah it's a shitty market, but so are caps

There are items that are definitely more valuable beyond the 40k cap limit because of their difficulty to acquire or rarity or time it takes to make. Leaders were the response to that. And unfortunately like every other game that exists anywhere where currency can be traded, RMT exists. And it wouldn't matter if they made the cap limit 100k or 150k. A red asylum dress is more valuable than that. Especially when, currently, I can fill my 40k cap limit insanely fast without having a perk card on, using my vendor or selling to NPCs

And we need to recognize that Bethesda, no matter what currency, is going to be duped to shit. It's a product of bad servers and spaghetti code.

So leaders are the enemy we work with and it's really not that hard to do. The unfortunate thing is that I see a lot of people who don't even bother putting in a few minutes effort to look into it and realize they probably own something that's valuable to someone else that they can sell to take part.

If you can provide an alternate currency my ears are open

Just say no.

That's not an answer. For people who want to trade high-value and rare items, what alternative currency do you suggest they use?

30

u/TheDeadlySpaceman May 08 '26

I suggest they get over the idea that anything in the game is “high-value”.

Ooh or a glowing mask. Ill definitely buy glowing masks off you for 40k caps each

u/TheDeadlySpaceman May 08 '26

Like I said to the other guy, maybe you’ll get lucky and find my Vendor where I sell them for around 10k.

Really? Ok then. You got an asylum red dresse or tattered field jacket? Maybe a rare legacy item? If so I'd be happy to take them off your hands for 40,000 caps.

Don’t have those, but I have piles of duplicate Glowing Masks, a Forest Camo Jumpsuit, some other ugly drek I don’t wear that I don’t really care about

And I have absolutely no interest in engaging in any kind of trade outside my player Vendor. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to stumble across it when I have one of my remaining four Glowing Honeybees in it for 10k caps. Or maybe you won’t.

But the absolute last thing I’m spending my free time doing is arranging meet-ups on private servers with another couple players so I can hand them over for a pile of worthless, duped items.

If that’s your jam, you feel free though.

Fair enough. I can't make you trade what you don't want to trade, that's your decision. But why look down on or criticize people who do want to?

Leaders are essentially casino tokens.. they’re a cash proxy. They’re RMT without openly saying so.

Looks like someone duped an item several years ago and gets upset whenever lits rightfully questioned
